Dude, she guides this locomotive and keeps it on track. I'm not even a drummer and a Iget how special she is. Its not surprising since she says Dave Lombardo and Mike Portnoy are influences. This is no lie, whenever I hear Raitei live I'll rewind and listening to that first couple seconds, when she counts the band in, over and over. There's just something about how they all come together at that moment. And of course Tamu kills it, from the count in to that last drum fill. I've been watching a lot of her videos on her channel and she's just ridiculous with the different styles of music she can play from, Metal Jazz and Pop. She even got me listening to this Pop girl group Wasuta. She has some incredible drum cam videos from when she played in their live band Nekonote. Awesome skill all around.
As good as she is, that's not really true. Case in point = Iron Maiden are doing a tour right now, and there's something compromised about Nico McBrain their drummer. The Drums are usually explosive in the material they are playing. But he's missing fills and beats all over the place( He is 71 years old), but the quality of the music is still making the performance some fantastic. *A drummer improves the band sound, but the music is not defunct without the drums
Yes, I agree, Nemophila are great, I love them, but as a rock/metal connoisseur, don't limit yourself. There are still lots of great Rock/Metal bands in Japan that you may never have found. Find them🤘

I Love Love Bites, but Miho herself is on record as saying that she is excited by Nemo, because they are the 1st Japanese heavy band to properly breakthrough in the American market, and she specifically said it's something lovebites were unable to do in 6 years, even though they toured throughout Europe.Nemo did it, in only 2 years *Lovebites were marketed stupidly and They Should be far more popular. They even followed Nemo's example, when Nemo started releasing UA-cam covers of Hard Rock and heavy metal songs.Miho is a diehard maiden and priest fan and when Nemo got 5,000,000 views during the lockdown for their 2 diff perspectives of their cover of "the trooper" by a Iron Maiden that they played at the beginning of this video, then got 1,300,000 so far for their cover of aces high. Also by maiden, lovebites then released a few weeks later 2 covers for the 1st time - 1 of painkiller by priest and another of Eagle fly free by Helloween Secondly, a band is only as good as its singer and songwriter and ultimately, Mayu can do everything that Asami can do, but Asami has not got the lower range and grit and rasp that Mayu has got, which gives Nemo more possibilities for the future. I hope lovebites can recapture what they will lose with Miho leaving, because she gave them their original vision and a lot of the songwriting - the future there will be a lot of pressure on Miyako and Mao - we will see if they can continue the high quality throughout in the future.
I Know that they love the Maiden tracks, but It's also a clever strategy to play the trooper, in the USA as the 1st song, to check the anticipation and interest of the crowd. Maiden are the most popular metal band globally in terms of massive presence in every country, but their following "in the USA" is moderate to high, not exceptionally high like Metallica, who have fewer fans equally distributed around the world, but probably more in total, if you add the US market. *If someone has the confidence to scream the lyrics to "The trooper" to you, without embarrassing themselves, you are obviously having the effect you want, because Metal fans would struggle to remember some of the more specialised lyrics, just like in many of their songs involving military jargon. Then, if most people there are not spontaneously singing the chorus, you know that your set is not popular yet, because ALL metal fans are familiar with the tune and the chorus. *This would be a good idea for many bands touring the USA- Probably the best track of all that you can cover to gauge crowd interest
I will. I was at this show over by Hazuki by that crazy tree on stage haha. But it was amazing. A full out assault on the senses for sure in a great way haha. I cannot wait for them to come back to US but I hope they swing by and visit Europe and you very soon! 🤘🤘🤘
I've watched all your video's of this show. i was about four bodies to your left. How was the sound where you were standing? All I could hear was bass. Could barely hear Mayu and I was right in front of her. Same with the guitars. I took a couple of videos and while the images are good the sound is not very good so probably won't upload them. Mr Cooper caught the same instrumental section I did and it sounds better where he was. I guess my take away is if the sound is that bad, I need to move, but it's tough to give up that space in the front. Hope i get another chance to see them live.
@@danharris4512 yeah Hara-chan’s bass was overwhelming. Not exactly a bad thing, but it drowned out Mayu. And it was loud, the stack on my right on the stage edge was actually facing the band. I didn’t get all the show. I had to put my phone away and participate a lil.
@@toohai2 That's a shame because The quality apparently in Japan of sound Recordings Equipment is pristine quality. I remember that lovebites also said that they don't always have the equipment at venues in northern Europe when they went there, because the bands are able to bring their own due mainly, aAcording to "Miho", in an interview… the fact that white Europeans are larger and Stronger, in stature and generally bring their own Equipment, which they said was abnormal in Japan and particularly because their girls, who Unfortunately might get jaded by lugging stuff around, which is twice their size; It's got to be said that the iron maidens (Californian girls) do bring their own equipment, I think, but as I said, they are Physically stronger than these girls. They were not particularly complaining, but just answering questions, but ultimately if this The Kind of stuff in terms of Expectations and quality happens too often, then a Japanese band like this, will be less excited about playing at venues abroad. Europe and North America have to sort this out if they want to attract them back.
