You have a work of art. I considered it but with the price hike and new 3 series coming next probably in late 2025, I went with a c class. Engine is nowhere near as good but it’s very relaxing
I’ve just purchased a brand new GLC-300 for my CFO (aka wife) and that interior is nice however whilst the steering wheel is great to hold those features on it are a huge step backwards and are still frustrating to use and require a finesse that I still am yet to be comfortable with. The mild hybrid is useful though and a nice addition. Also to engage the hill hold feature feels like you are trying to push the brake pedal into the engine bay. Road noise is also higher than anticipated even if it has 255’s at the front and 285’s at the rear. The misses loves it so happy wife, happy life. 😂
The combination of (fake) leather and lack of cooling seems like it's style over substance and could lead to sticky situations. I don't suppose there's a cloth option?
It’d be interesting Matt to clock said 25,000km intervals each year over the 5 years. Then see if it survives such ridiculously long intervals intact.😵💫 Stupidly long & the servicing costs! Yeah ok…😱 At the price asked even before on roads, servicing should be included!💸
Price, service costs, haptic switches, centre screen menus, run flats with no spare tyre. All reasons to avoid this car. The original buyer on a lease will have the warranty and then the poor second hand buyer will be left with the problems known to affect MB, Audi and BMW.
all new mercs are unreliable. so they are all rubbish..good for a show off. Some of the audi and bmw are better and more reliable. And I would buy a Lexus over all of them. Japanese cars are far more reliable in general over european and american cars, and are almost as luxurious.
A “bunch”… Why do people copy American English like sheep? Also, the failure to provide the power output and 0-100 kmh times of the various models is a glaring omission.
@@therightcar The only reason it’s “vernacular” Australian English is because endless sheep in Australia copy Americans. It’s poor, sloppy, lazy English. At which point in the review did you put the power outputs on the screen?
Awesome review Matt as always. 👍👍
Thanks!
I’m happy with my own new car and wouldn’t even consider the AMG 43 due to the 4 cylinder. Loving my 24 M340i.

That's a classy automobile.
6:10 Not buying a $100k coupe for fun? Is there any other reason?
funny prices.. cle200 starts at 54.000€ in germany..
Great review Matt!
Thanks mate!

No cloth here, mate.
Fake leather gets so hot😮

Is there a model with V8 twin turbo and an electric motor on each wheel ?
Not yet.
Matt, can you do an update review on a Mazda CX 60 petrol base model.
LED lights and day care always get a mention.😅
You know it. I like to keep things on brand.
Can it fit a set of golf clubs without need to fold down the back seats?
I would say yes. I didn't try. My clubs have been collecting dust for... 7 years?
@@therightcar 🤣🤣🤣
Is the standard CLE coupe such as the one you review better looking than the CLE 53 amg coupe

Yep you summarised the findings well there!
my cle 300 with amg line and all the Features was like 69,500€.. you guys have very weird prices 😂
Would choose A5/S5 over this any day
Personally, I would too. S5 is a HONEY.
I pick mustang
Over $100k and it's fake leather.
That's the reality of today. Cows are people too, man
Vinyl

Which Audi would you prefer to this car?
@@battlerageson none..would buy a lexus.
Did you say this is Best Mercedes-Benz? No. Best Mercedes-Benz is S class. CLE Class, coupe Class, there's rear seat but there's no rear door
I have no doubt that the S Class is good. I've driven them heaps in the past. But they're EXORBITANTLY expensive and out of touch with today.

Vernacular Australian English is not American English.
I did put the power outputs on the screen, dude. WATCH the video.

The drivers of these cars are the absolute worst human beings on the road.
I dunno, the right-lane-hogging B-double tailgaters give me the shits.
