I think "easy mode" is about what the canon difficulty would have been for the Mark 3 Spartan companies wearing SPI armor, and Spartans wearing MJOLNIR would have it on an even easier difficulty level, with "Normal" difficulty for veteran marines, troopers, and ODSTS, "hard" for green recruits in the Army and Marines, and "Legendary" for untrained militia and civilians trying to defend themselves.
Imagine if the 1st person view looked like how we would see it in the games....

One thing that annoyed me about this episode is that some elites have energy swords regardless of their rank. They are elite minors. Only high-ranked elites can wield the powerful sword. Same goes for Jackals.

@@TacticalUser.They're more akin to the Zealots we see in Reach in terms of purpose. They could be wearing the less ceremonial armor to hide their status... I don't even think the humans on that rock were supposed to know they were there at all... So for them, stealth was more important than show

Random elites are actually weaker by far than spartans; elites are kinda buffed in-game but plasma weapons are nerfed cause they are as deadly as it is shown here.
In cinematics you can see how chief can tank a bunch of elites but in game you are just running away when more than three elites are aiming to you

The elites need to have weapon variety. Ive noticed they mostly wield energy swords and sometimes plasma rifles. The elites should also wield plasma repeaters,plasma launchers, fuel rod guns, needlers, concussion rifles and carbines

It’s interesting: the CGI spartans look dramatically better than the live actors fighting in the suits. It probably would’ve been better to’ve just had the spartans be CGI characters when they’re doing… basically anything besides standing still. They’re larger than life super soldiers- literal Halo spartans! You can’t really expect real humans in bulky costumes to sell that sort of thing properly.

This battle was a bit of a joke.
Why didn’t he ask the guys on the wall what they could see? Why weren’t there more people on the wall?
Why was everyone not behind cover?
The elites appear immune to bullets because npc don’t do much damage.
Yet the Spartans use bullets and succeed, in fact chief uses the gun that the npc was using and suddenly it’s powerful.
Chief distracts the elites and female spartan decided to do nothing.
Somehow the 4 Spartans run around and didn’t notice or hear the man shooting at an elite until the last second.
Chief decided to tell them that there were no survivors without checking for survivors at all.
And even after the battle..
Pelican didn’t notice the nearby phantom.
Spartan sniper didn’t notice the phantom and was strangely 5 feet away from the other Spartans.
Other 3 Spartans were too busy looking at the ground to notice the phantom.
Motion trackers don’t detect the sneaking elite.
Second spartan isn’t doing her job and watching his back.
One of the Spartans shoots what looks like a DMR but the audio is an automatic gunfire.
I’ve only seen the first episode for now but this was rough.
Chief fighting the 2 elites was really cool though.
100%. This looks like it was made by asking a preteen what they think would look cool and threw out consistency and realism out the window. There is zero tension when you know that no matter what the weapon chief is using will always just be enough to kill the enemy. Or every time they melee the elites it'll do just the right amount of damage to knockout their shields. This is the type of shit NPCs and normie as people enjoy.
The aliens don't take much damage from the terrorists because they're using primitive modern guns, the Spartans are using the more advanced UNSC weapons. Except the turret on the Warthog, that has no excuse.
The DMR is a selective fire rifle, it can be swapped between full auto and semi auto firing. The full auto setting isn't used in games because it would make the AR redundant.
@@vegeta002 not even on the easiest difficulty does a short burst from an AR knockout elite shields. It's ridiculous. Also the ammo it uses is the same as NATO rounds we use today, it is stated in the lore and games that it isn't as effective at knocking out shields as plasma weaponry, its ok if you like it but you can't deny that it has zero consistency when it comes to the lore and it doesn't care about the audiences intelligence.

All we want is to see the spartans kicking ass and we got a total of 3 scenes in all episodes of them doing that with a load of 'love' bs thrown in in there.

Thing is, this show _was not Halo._
They could have done Halo right by following the original story and fleshing it out in between events, but it would have required a much bigger budget to do the games justice.
...Amazon saw the IP, and thought even if we half-arse it, there'll be _at least some money_ to be made out of exploiting Halo, like they're scared of taking a risk on a new IP, and have no problem wiping their ass with something that should have been so much better made by people who love Halo, which is why I have mad respect for Peter Jackson and hopefully Henry Cavil's 40k adaptation touch wood 🙏

Hold on. 1:16, what is that AK? This man isnt shooting shit XD That is not how an AK works.
Most of the CGI was pretty ok, but with this big a budget, the show had better be perfect. Like at 0:55, the reticle is tracking the elites head, rather than being aligned with the magnum. And the sound effects are awful. You have 9 games to use as a basis for sounds (7 good ones) and they somehow messed up the assault rifle sound and the iconic hum of the plasma pistol? And the elites, done even get me started on the elites. They’re bulky, like halo 4 and 5. You can make something tall, but not wide. They’re not agile like in the games. Spartans should not be ducking and avoiding an energy sword. Elites are the agile ones. If they wanted to do this, they could use brutes. And why are they standing tall? They should be in a position ready to roll and EVADE. And why are like 50% of the elites using energy swords? In the games you only see like 1 per squad (barring reach). And the jackals in a later fight scene are wielding energy swords. And also, in that same fight scene, chief uses a jackals shield. Would’ve been a perfect demo for the bubble shield, which is actually UNSC tech, and would’ve fit pretty well. And all of the tech suites are showing too much. You barely see them on the games, but here they’re more apparent than the armour plating. AND THE MUSIC, THIS WOULDVE BEEN A PERFECT TIME TO USE THE HALO THEME, OR A VARIANT OF IT LIKE UNYIELDING FROM HALO 2! This (despite being quite the contrary) is a short list of my complaints about this god awful show. You don’t hype something up for 8 years then make it awful.

The guns are way too big for the actors. Lore accurate or not they look clunky and awkward. The size ratio in Infinite would have been perfect.
