I'm currently working for a company that refuses to get fr clothing for the electrical work I'm doing, including rerouting services, service upgrades and general work in live panels and service meters. All single phase stuff, but still plenty dangerous. I'm looking at getting a heavy duty fr Tyndale sweatshirt for myself for peace of mind because my gloves and welding sleeves, as I was suggested to use, won't cut it. Thank you for sharing your story. A company like mine preaches safety until it comes down to cost or productivity.
It's truly sad, even maddening, to see companies putting profits ahead of their own workforce's safety.... Or even companies putting their profits ahead of their customers safety... It's all about the money. I hope you're being safe out there Eric 🙏
I was at a place similar, they bought "voltage" gloves off of Amazon from China. In my experience you're better off jumping ship to a company that buys all your PPE (including your daily wear 8cal base layer),hot sticks, etc and expects you to use it
You are a hero!!!
Brandon has come to our company (Intel) and has given multiple talks about his story. He makes his story very personal. If you are looking for a safety motivational speaker, I recommend reaching out to him.

An electrician job is very dangerous. Master electricians need to keep their journey man and apprentice workers steadfast on the rules. It shouldn't be a first class blue color job. It's a job for every men and women who want a good career.
Absolutely!
