Great video and I have often wondered the same thing with the map, maybe when we find that Raxxla stargate that map will come in handy.... Keep up the great work and thank you for the shout out !!! :-)
There's a Construct aspect to this story that is being overlooked by most people. The Construct completely eradicated an interstellar species leaving behind only ruins, some drones, and various probes. I think the Thargoids are extremely hostile to Guardian tech because the Construct is their primary concern. We (humans) have only recently got the Thargoid's attention because of our discovery and implementation of Guardian/Construct tech.
The problem with that theory is that the goids were already hostile with us before we knew the guardians existed. And they don't attack on sight even with guardian modules installed, only when we have guardian cargo or their cargo.
As for the AI. I think they either went Dormant or they just just faded away without their guardian creators' upkeep. However an idea floating around my head is that they're out looking for guardian settlements to wipe out. See, a spacefaring species like the Guardians or us are very unlikely to go extinct, I think there are a few remaining settlements out there. They could also be huddled up at the guardian's home world as they don't have any real need to expand.
@@emperorpalpatine2957 The biggest piece of evidence is how the Thargoid mothership/base reacts when Guardian technology is introduced. The thing goes ballistic and the drones become hostile. Next; this is more anecdotal because of a poor sample size but every time I've jumped through Maia with my Jump-a-conda I've been hyperdicted and attacked by a Thargoid interceptor on at least a half dozen occasions and the only thing I can figure that triggered the attack would be my FSD booster. Also, I highly doubt that a sapient AI would just go dormant after eradicating the Guardians. They didn't wipe them out so they could go to sleep. If the AI is still out there hunting down Guardians chances are we'd have seen it. We've only explored .04% of the galaxy but we've spread out and touched everywhere, someone would have seen something. Then there's the ancient Mars relic. Exactly my thoughts too. I've only visited one Thargoid site and felt frustrated to not be able to get out and walk around so I'm gonna wait for Odyssey.
@@HevonCZR Yeah, they've mentioned in Q&A's/livestreams that all current on surface locations will be explorable on foot (if the environment isn't too hostile).
It doesn’t quite look like any depiction of any galaxy I’ve seen. It could be a colonization map... or a map of our galaxy in witchspace. It’s definitely interesting.
These are probably my favorite places to visit in the game. When they were first discovered, I bookmarked one and would return every week or so. They seemed to either be growing or unearthed over time, at least until Fdev gave up on that plot line. Hey not sure if youll even notice this comment, but I absolutely am in love with your videos bro. You're seriously one of the best ED UA-camrs around. I realize I'm late to the game and developments have been made regarding the Thargoids, but I have a theory. Is it possible that the star map in the Thargoid mothership is of all the galaxies planetary nebulas? Many players including myself have found planetary nebulas tens of thousands of lightyears above or below th galactic plane. Since the Thargoids have been known to reside near or in these massive chemical clouds, it stands to reason that they would have a map of all the nebulas in the galaxy. Especially cause they have means of traveling those massive distances while we do not.
Not only will the Thargoid Probe/Sensor/Link cause corrosion on your vessel, having any of them in your cargo hold at any time, ship or SRV, will permanently mark YOU for Hyperdiction. This will occur anywhere in a 200Ly radius of any central location of the Thargoid's main presence. So... Class 3 and 4 Guardian Gauss Cannons when? I have recently got my alt account up and running, and I am collecting all materials/data, including Guardian and Thargoid, for it as well as my main account. I have said it before, that I have a strong feeling we are going to need all materials/data once Odyssey releases. There is something big coming, and that's not the tin foil talking! LOL! And as always Commander, your content is exceptional! Thanks. o7
Whatever Thargoids related events may occur will be further down the road after Odyssey releases. Large guardian gauss cannons will only come if/when the Klaxxians make there appearance.

I'm thinking that in Odyssey, these motherships will show themselves. One part of Odyssey is collecting and cataloging life on other planets... Maybe we will eventually have to find the new "mycoid virus" by finding new plants on planet surfaces. Then will use the virus against the motherships by boarding them and destroying them from within.
In the original.ite, thargoids intercepted pilotsfrom witchspace, which was the area of space the thargoids prowled. However in the secondand third games, galactic travel was changed from witch space...
I realllllllly hope we log in one day and get an emergency broadcast that thargoids are invading some base or station. When you get there you can fight off thargoid infantry in fps combat while some players are above fighting ships. Then the mothership arrives causing massive chaos.

I think it might be something to do with raxxla. The toast mentions something about the mother of galaxies, from the front it looks like a woman's reproductive system and it shows what looks like a galaxy. Maybe I have too much time foil.
I would be interesting to free players and alow them to make choices on how they interact with the Thargoids. As we possibly have two factions of Thargoid in Elite dangerous, exploring these types of elements could be possible if they confirm the Klaxxian/Orressrian divide.
I imagine a multi role fight lots of scouts a few interceptors and having to send a few on foot inside to fight their way to a few hearts or shield rooms then those fighting outside can start to damage drives or the core will open at a certain lvl of damage and the guys on foot can kill the core. Yeah I think these just being bases are very unlikely considering they work in hives they'd just conduct their war/exploration plans there. In my opinion they are crashed Hive ships or they're growing to be hive ships
these look like old large face down motherships... which are not nurseries as they contain eggs to hatch new little thargoids. did they faceplant onto a planet surface to escape the mycoid poison we put on them.
I think they simply lost control of their vessels whilst the Mycoid did its thing and crashed into the surface. Not too far away from Polaris aswell which was a major story location for the second game.
If you look closely at the symbol on every Thargoid ship the symbols appear to have a “star map” intermixed within and the “blotches” that people are trying to decipher. Is it a star map? I believe it is because the dot pattern io each Thargoid appear to be the same as opposed to the blotches which have differences between Thargoid ships. If it is a star map as I theorise . . . Could it be the same revered star map as seen In this report . . . ?
Is the star map a different galaxy, or are these stars that exist in witch space? If the map is a young Milky Way why are we only encountering thargoids near Barnard’s Loop? Is the Loop a giant thargoid mothership existing in witch space and real space simultaneously? These are the questions that keep me exploring. The galaxy is not just huge in size but huge in possibility. All you find out there in the black is more questions. Endless wonder.
@MATTIUS has anyone tried to cross reference it with the galaxy map to your knowledge and has anyone even considered that it could be when the milkey way was still young, the thargoids could also be like locust where they only emerge from slipspace and make themselves know every certain number of years and the last time they emerged they encountered the guardians and there technology back when the milky way was still relatively young and sagittarius A was still whipping the galaxy into its iconic spiral shape? I have my own theories but I also have my own tests to run at various sites.
I was just at one of these sites, HIP 14909 2 A. After the device was activated, I acquired 2 unknown signal logs. Does anyone know what these do, if anything?
Those signals are specific to the links in that mega structure. You put them on your ship and use them to find other thargoid mega structures in different star systems. Enter the star system, get out of super cruise. Eject the link and play the correct signal recording. If there's a mega structure in the system, the link will point a beam at the structures exact location. Check its vector, scoop it up and repeat the process, til you find the site. Use a star system in which one already exists for practice just to make sure you're doing it right. Also it'll be easier to see when one isn't there and you're not second guessing it. Use the galaxy map to see all the thargoid controlled systems to find the edge of "unexplored" mega structure site possibilities. By now tho, much has been done already in that regard. Canon has a long list of mega structures found, active and inactive. Its super cool to try. Highly recommended.
I was struck how the map looks like the map of the Milky Way once you factor out the main sequence stars. Has anyone done any research into this? I would be interested in the findings from such a research endeavor as I do not have the tools to do the research myself.
Sorry MATTIUS love your work.... But OMG... so wrong on so many levels... Dude the "truth is out there" and is so much more interesting on so many other levels.... but It wont fly... 1) You said it yourself... "Thargoid Surface site"... (Machine) (Hive) Given there are dormant Egg (sacks, pods) meaning they are "still pulsing" on the main chamber ceiling, And are of an unknown configuration.... It cannot be ruled out these egg sacks are not Thargoidians... 2) Given these bases appears to be made of "Secreted" material not unlike the "Bad Guys" in "ALIENS" further adds to this... Plus the dripping water, wet floor, shows the internal of the base, is "warm" a very different environment to a Thargoid "Green Mist" which is "Icey cold" as per NPC comments.... Added to this the Bases are further environmentally controlled by an unknown gas blowing in.... 3) Now a really important point... While they say there are two basic types of Bases "Active & None Active" in simple terms this is true... "Active" meaning the "Machine" is working.... Only very few bases out of the 162 known A-bases are actually fully functional with all doors working... The others all have collapse doors, walls, sections which can not be access.... So importantly... these are more likely to be an Ancient, Abandoned, much early thargoid civilization outpost(In a bubble) in the game... All simply waiting for Odyssey.... 4) Add to this; Current Thargoids do not patrol or protect this sites... Or are they found in all "Systems with Bases" Thargoid ship movement & Bases are separate over lapping bubbles... 5) "The Map Room" Yes once you active the map... Between 2 & 3 messages are downloaded into your SRV... It is of note they are "Thargoid messages meant for Thargoids".... As per the "Eagle Eye" we intercept them translate to workout what bases are about to be attacked etc.... That being said every active base has it own messages.... "When" these messages may change.... sorry i dont know... 6) Clearly these A- bases act as commutation hub linked to Home world... 7) Yes theses interaction give us "Home world" location (Solid theory) we have a location... But something is very wrong with this location ??? What ??? is my question ... No spoilers 8) Back in the "map room" Is there more too this map ?? At the start of the game the map was fix at point turning clockwise.... And in 2018 it started to move.... Why ??...We know the bases act as a commutation hub therefore it makes perfect sense that the white spheres are 0's and yellow spheres are 1's in a binary Code.... Because all sites have different maps, we have a very complex problem.... Given now we can see the center of the map (its black hole) maybe the very last lights going out highlight the Thargoid Home world System... ??? Alas know.... So what is the actual Thargiod map of.... I have solid theory... but for now No spoilers.... To read the map best we all read it the same way... Ideally while facing the machine have the Senor on the left and the probe on the right... Start the machine and head camera view to the roof (looking down on it).... Stay still, watch what the map move, note distance and direction... then make a B-line for the "black hole" location... record the last few seconds... In play back frame by frame... see what comes of it in basic Binary .... Yes the whole thing may get very exciting OMG something is written there.... Yet on another map, it make's no sense.... zip So the truth is out there, a much better story, you wont believe how this ends (In theroy) .... Cheers
Fair enough, i respect your opinion on this matter and i guess we are going to have to agree to disagree. I guess we will see this year what these sites/Hiveships/bases truly are.
Those aren't motherships... they are fatherships... stop holding down aegis core..... anytime I tried to get them a footing again groups quickly shut me down.
Great video and I have often wondered the same thing with the map, maybe when we find that Raxxla stargate that map will come in handy.... Keep up the great work and thank you for the shout out !!! :-)

Yes.... They can be decoded and will send you to another site, base, crashed ship, or an attacked base
I was struck how the map looks like the map of the Milky Way once you factor out the main sequence stars. Has anyone done any research into this? I would be interested in the findings from such a research endeavor as I do not have the tools to do the research myself.
I don't play ED; what is "O7"? I've seen it in comments of Fuel Rat videos and you ended your video with the phrase.
the "o" is a head and the "7" is the arm saluting. Its a term used before elite but has been adopted by the community to signify you play elite.
I like too think the map is of populated sectors in the milky way but yours is more likely too be true :P
It aint a competition haha. Id love to be wrong, or right. As long as it's something.
If you ask me, the map looks like IC 1296
I'm new and just found one accidentally when searching for a barnacle forest!

No spoilers
8) Back in the "map room" Is there more too this map ??
Yet on another map, it make's no sense.... zip
So the truth is out there, a much better story, you wont believe how this ends (In theroy) .... Cheers
Fair enough, i respect your opinion on this matter and i guess we are going to have to agree to disagree. I guess we will see this year what these sites/Hiveships/bases truly are.
What if it's just thargoid systems in the Milky Way?
Could be, could be a list of all ammonia worlds in the milky way.
Nice krait
Those aren't motherships... they are fatherships... stop holding down aegis core..... anytime I tried to get them a footing again groups quickly shut me down.
Are you sure they aren't Uncleships.
Any one been to ngc6357 I heard has some thargoid history but I'm unsure
I'll look into it
Amazing 😄 loving all the videos too
