Bought new in 83.. best bike I ever owned. Shipped to Holland and rode for two years around Europe... Great memories. Added oil cooler, handle bar weighted end caps, Vance Hines, K&N filter, and steering damper. Most comfortable ride, could go for hours across the autoban...

I still have my 1983 GS1100ES, with about 49,000 km. Second owner, had it since 1987.

I purchased mine in April of 1983 in San Diego 40.5+ years ago, moved to Colorado in 1994, moved to Galveston Texas in 2017, it really likes being back at Sea Level again. Around 80K on the Clock. Fits me like a Glove (much better than the Juice's Glove), I will ride it until I no longer can. Randy AKA randog311

Very fast bikes. Should have bar weights ends in black as I can see and the oil cooler is extra. On the road the frame had a hinge when going around the corners. I know I had one in 1984 and another since 2004!

Bought a 1981 GS1100 with a thousand miles on it. The guy who sold it to me told me he was afraid of it. Super fast. Had a family member sell it a few years later while I was in the Army. Burned up in Two Rivers, WI motorcycle shop fire in the 1980's

Got one I'm currently restoring, belonged to a mechanic at Chaparral Race Cars in TX and is loaded with period correct modifications. 1150 head, Arkont spoke wheels, flat slide carbs, V&H Exhaust, and other goodies.

I owned this exact same identical motorcycle at one time, 1983 was the only year that Suzuki made this bike in an 1100 cc mine was the exact same also. They made this bike in the 700 CiCi's in 83 and 84 it was a brute

Bought one new in 83, I've owned a lot of bikes since, but my ESD left the greatest impression, miss it. I was an absolute idiot on it for 30,000 KMs, not sure why I'm still alive.

Very nice example. Too bad the owner decided to drill and bolt the side covers. There are alternatives.

Yeah in 85 I got one in Tucson Arizona and purchased it at a shop it had the Yoshi 4 into one on it and the individual selling it was from Italy and did not want to take it back it had a Milo alarm system with a walk away chip and one day the clutch cable broke at the handle and I walked down to a little motorcycle shop it was a Harley shop and needed the temporary adapter to tighten onto the cable for the handle and there was a picture on the wall behind him exploded in size with a naked lady sitting on it leaning forward and it did not have the name of the motorcycle but all of the color and the rest of it spoke for itself it was the gs1100 ES and I told them hey do you know what this little piece is going to he looked at me and said no I said well I'll bring the bike down the road when I'm done and show you they were freaking out it's probably the second fastest motorcycle stock I've ever owned the first was the Honda CBR 954 super blade
