The best bike ever built. We had these back in the day when you had to build, not buy, your hot rod bike.

I know this video is years old but I had to say that it is one seriously handsome motorcycle. Very envious.

my mate let me ride his, never got out of first gear,no license but it was a beatiful thing you knew it was an animal
It too was an import but from Canada your build is very tastfully blended with old and new,its very easy to see why the 1200 bandit was so successful dont ever sell it!

this is a really pro restore job !
I mist the ''80'' all of my friends add this kind of bikes,,,with there own personality...more then now I belive ! My friend add the 1000 Honda like you !
Me I start with Yamaha XS 1100 red win square gaz tank, then change for Suzuki GS 1100 e black square tank..the first 16 valves.
then FJ 1100 Yamaha...The Kawasaki GPZ red , Then Suzuki Rg 500 Gama, then Suzuki GSX-R 1100 1986...it was my last one.
and now 30 years later I have a project of CX 500 Honda cafe racer....not for speed as you can see !
But I would love to have a Suzuki 1100 1982 with new componants forks wheels...and the sound of a 4 cylinders...so strong !
    Nice bike !

Nice bike but that shaking camera things doesn't work.
It's not helpful and makes it hard to see the details.
    Also annoying AF.
    Just an FYI.

I just drove my 82 GS 1100EZ the other day. It is rough it needs a restoration mainly the upper end and carbs. In heavy winds it got about 24 mpg US the other day. rear sprocket is too large, great for wheelies but not good on freeway. I look forward to tinkering with it soon. It also needs help with carburation. Never set up properly with stage 3 kit and so it doesn't pull smoothly.

In 1-year this unit will be 40-years old. Unmodified. 175mph+ by empirical data. No time to look down and verify after that but close to 200mph...

    Change the engine Hayabusa.

    • @AndieBlack13
      @AndieBlack13 6 років тому

Yuji Cobayashi The Hayabusa engine is a completely different engine, very "industrial looking", with lots of ancillary components...many of these components are essentialy "tacked on" & not prone to removal or relocating. It could be done of course but would require lots of fabrication to get it to "look right".

Sold bike and nearly have the Thruxton done with usd forks.
