Nice, it's the Master System version of the Labyrinth zone boss.
I remember that boss well, my cousin was stuck on it. If you hit Robotnik in the middle part directly in the middle, you couldn't get the momentum to make it back to the ground and you'd fall off the screen. You needed to hit him on the side to bounce back. Took me 5 minutes to work out the pattern and defeat him.

Nope, that's the classic Sonic fire sound. Which is weird when you think about it because the one time in the Genesis games one of Robotnik's mechs has an actual flamethrower it's completely silent instead of using the...the fire sound.

If you wanted to make that Scrap Brain fight a lot nastier, you could have Robotnik swoop in from either the left or right at the height Sonic jumps at to escape the electricity. You'd have to plan your evasive jump to just evade Robotnik's machine and hit him while then not falling into the orbs.

This game corrects one major problem with the original Sonic the Hedgehog 1: There SHOULD have been a "Scrap Brain Zone boss fight" just BEFORE the Final Zone boss fight! I would have loved to have seen what type of Egg Mobile battle they could've come up with, for the Scrap Brain Zone.
