I love these longer videos that are not jumpscare screaming like most youtubers seems to be. Feels like listening a friend talk about his day if that makes sense. Brilliant!
You should utilize the craft sim addon. Your alts are going to be set up the same way overall so you can actually account for multicraft, resourceful, etc. for more accurate gauges. For example I think blacksmithing is pretty solid right now when it comes to alloys especially factoring in frameworks. Its super complicated and craftsim will help show when its worth to use those optional reagents for larger profit.
i will second this it also allows you to simulate diff builds by adding kp and it will show you breakpoints you need to reach for example spell threads so you dont have to actually spend the points and see what kind of profits/minimum mats you need to use, i did this on my alt army to min/max what level/kp i need to reach a build and move on to the next toon
I was saying for a week before release that tailor's needed to be using concentration on the spell thread's, you don't even need that much knowledge to be able to craft them with rank 2 materials.
I mouse over to see the priority like i prioritize the KP ones over the 30 AA ones and the 30 AA ones over the 10 AA ones. Assuming that addon does what it says it does, Then I would see less orders? Could you perhaps provide more context thanks others read the comments too so other can benefit from your comments not just me.
@@Goldzen_tv I've been using this addon too. The original purpose in DF was to filter out Public crafts that were trying to swindle you by not providing mats or not enough gold, but it's been repurposed for TWW to just show what the commission rewards are for Patron orders as well as what they require from you. It won't hide anything from you.
The new crafting system is much less lucrative this time round then last. Everyone for the most part knows how to make a profit out of it all and has a better understanding of different builds. I know for sure there will be a lot more people crafting this expansion than last. I like your idea about the long haul for gold making Instead of the quick 5 minute route that gets destroyed in 2 days. Not sure if concentration will introduce much more rank 3 materials then DF as we relied on inspiration last time and using mettle to craft the essences to increase skill by 30. Last time I made a lot of gold from selling rank 3 blue silken linings by crafting my own azureweave bolts at r3. I might go a similar route but not sure which embellishments will be bis or if they even have as much of an impact this expansion
This expansion is a deflationary expansion meaning gold profits will be tighter and less lucrative for sure. The days of making big gold consistently are over some people will make bank early days which is always the case but the vast majority of the gold will come from providing value to the market via utilising concentration and rank 2 materials. Just the way it is now and I'm very much happy about it. Proof of Work systems in general are way way better for economies.
One thing I didn't see you do is the dirt/treasures for 2 profession points every week per profession per alt. I understand this can take a good deal of time and trying to do it on so many characters would probably not be worth it in the long run. Would you suggest skipping this step if you are doing setups with multiple characters? Like 20+ characters doing dirt every week right now for me, but it eats up my time when the drop rate rng decides to be a jerk. Sometimes I get stuck spending 30 minutes just doing dirt and that just doesn't seem productive, but I remember to stick with it cause it has added up. Also the inscription books that give one point a week, I don't know if they would be worth it if I didn't have an alt that could craft all of them. Thank you again for showing your process and building your guides. They have helped immensely with my alt set up so far. Just wondering if cutting back to just work orders and weekly quest would be more productive then what I'm currently doing.
It is 100% your just wasting time gathering inefficient knowledge points. Same reason why I'm not going to the DMF every month it's just not worth it for me specifically. When time is a factor you think and make decisions differently. Ofc if I only had 5-6 alts for sure i would have plenty of time to min/max every knowledge point. I think you know the answer and are just looking for confirmation bias - Just let them go you will suffer less and benefit more in the long run.

I was thinking of having one main tailor learn the spell threads so with max reagents he/she could make an unlimited supply of spellthreads. That way my alt army could all stay with CD's for rank 3 bolts
I think this a wise step long term. But short term you have to use more concentration to get enough rank 3 bolts but if you spec each one into threads then they use way less concentration for the same end product.,
I'm speced into churning out rank 1 bolts with the lower cooldown. I've been eying the spellthreads. You can micromanage the crap out of a bunch of alts, or you can buy millions of gold of Weavercloth Bolt at 5g and sell it for 50g. Looking at the market night now, and with the benefit of hindsight, one is way easier than the other to get you to the objective of 100 million gold.
Yeah people will always take the easy road. The hard road is barely taken that's why I will still earn 100 million long term. Once the profits drop to the marginal cost of production people will just wait for the hype season to make their gold again meanwhile i'll be chugging along slow and steady.
On start of video how do you come to 42 crafts per week at 1,100g? With max you can guarantee 3star? either I am seriously dumb with math or it should be 450g instead 1,100...
21 charges per week of the bolt. You make 2 bolts for each craft so thats the 42. The 1100 was probably the approximate profit between the base crafting cost and the actual market value of the item without factoring in any procs.
Honeymoon period in TWW of goldmaking I feel like its over. A lot of markets are crushing like profession tools that we know will be very profitable at start and fade fast. Soon things like contracts will go away.
