I’m so happy about this, just years ago there was absolutely nothing MBTA in any train simulator, and now we have two routes in TSW, talk about a glow up!
And hopefully more to come after this since they did a dedicated recording trip! Usually they when they do these they capture more than what they need 😮
@@potatoman451 MBTA has been always interested in joining into various Train Simulators. People always throw out "licensing" as an excuse that DTG didn't add MBTA content forever ago, when they had every opportunity to. I'm glad we finally do get another MBTA line, but dang, it doesn't have to take decades of evolution from RailWorks RailSimulator just to get all the way here for some simple MBTA fun.
I am looking forward to this route! MBTA must be keen to work with DTG. It will be great if we get a layer on the Boston Sprinter too. I think Dovetail is actually going to do America Justice with one.
Thanks for the great video as a fellow MBTA rail fanner I am psyched for this. I really enjoy your stuff and thanks for explaining Mohr October 29. I’m gonna become broke.
If they don't include the Wilmington Wildcat branch and(/or) the Tewksbury Wamesit former-Pan Am branch for Lowell/Haverhill if they were to ever develop those lines eventually, then I'm not buying it...
@@potatoman451 They sure as heck took their time back in the day when making the longest routes for TS Classic such as Donner Pass, Marias Pass/Hi-Line.
I am SOOOO excited for this route! The screenshots look amazing apart from an equipment numbering issue at 8:32 & 12:31, where the equipment number should be in the 1500s not the 1800s. I'm hoping the bug where in the CTC-3 the ATC/ACSES panel freezes up is gone. To answer your question about speeds: MBTA commuter rail is indeed restricted to a maximum of 80 system-wide. Also, FYI it is pronounced "Frame-ing-ham" ik both names of the cities in this route aren't said how they are spelt lol
I used to take these trains when I was in college in Boston. Very comfortable and fast. I wish they add MTA NYCT subway but because of license and strict rules and regulations that might not happen.
What i find odd is that the MBB single levels will have door controls despite not using them IRL. They also messed up the numbering for the single level mbb cab cars (18XX ingame when irl they are 15XX)
Speaking of upcoming routes. I'd like an opinion on an idea that I had: Bringham-Gloucaster, about 55 miles long, it is the piece of line with the lickey incline.
i’m new to the game and seeing that this route is $40 is a bummer, i mean in general the dlcs are super expensive on top of yearly releases is definitely steep, unfortunately i want it so im going to buy it
Since they are updating them to have new safety systems. Does that mean I can access conductor mode without having to buy the new route? Using the old route
11:09 Yeah, ballast, sure. But look at how inaccurate i90 is. The real thing should have 4 lanes, with the right most lane barreled off and the lanes continuously shifting left and right due to the decade long road relocation work zone. Instead they made it look "too clean" here. Even in the 90s before all this construction hysteria, it was still four lanes. Wish they would put as much love in the surrounding detail than just the immediate view around the train, as I drive on the stretch of Boston almost every day.

they need Middleboro - Boston
@@RoyalcaribbeanFan-g5l Would be amazing if the did the Old Colony Lines, those are my lines.
i really love how dovetail is making an effort to improve their US content and not just giving us dlc to make us shut up. great job DTG. 👏
Remember mbta were really cooperative and helpful as well. It goes both ways.

I think the T asked to be in the game. Dovetail has been around recording equipment, so they better not have half assed anything lol
Absolutely agree!!

Now we need NEC: Trenton - Philadelphia
YES YES YES. Septa needs to get on BOARD!! 😩
@@trainsimsociety Yes Septs needs to!
i agree!
All of NJT too if its not already
32mile line Trenton to Filthadelphia
God damn the bi-levels look SO DAMN GOOD! The modlers for the game have been really cooking for this. But yet Im really hyped for this route! :>
Been checking for this every few hours
thats really cool on how the locomotive shuts down after a few minutes because as a conductor i see it happen constantly in the cab loll
Glad to hear that bc it happens to me with the loco moving freight smh

This is gonna become one of TSW’s best routes, mark my words 😌

They need MBTA north side service, the Lowell and Haverhill lines share services and an Amtrak route, so many opportunities

I live about 2 minutes from the framingham station and have riden this line my whole life so im very excited, im hoping the scenery is on point!!
Well so far, i90 @ Lansdowne is not on point whatsoever, so let's hope the rest of the route actually feels legit.
Been waiting for this one
It’s my local route I’m so damn excited for this!!! Hope that CSX is layered into the route
I hope so!! 😩 I remember reading that Joe was considering freight so I hope it makes it into the final timetable 🤞

it would be cool to see the lake shore limited as the Boston section runs on this line
If it's added, it would use the same trick as Boston where it's using 2 acs64s because of no appropriate rolling stock
@@potatoman451 yea true we don't have viewliners amfleet 2s or the gensis. Just saying it would be a cool layer

Yessssssssss
Why they ain't make the comet coaches? Those are super common on MBTA. More common than the coaches they are using in the mixed sets.
Do mean the Comet II coaches? If yes then yeah I don’t know why we are not getting the Comet II for MBTA

New Jersey transit New York to bay head coming October 27th 2025. They are gonna add the single decks and the alp45dp yayy😅
Pleaseeee YES!!!
Wait really?
MBTA max speed is 80 because the coaches are only rated for 80. If the coaches were rated for higher the mbta could go faster.

Which sucks because the HSPs could go 110, there are plenty of stretches over the entire system that could easily be upright to 90 or 100 mph service

If you think that’s bad, look at the Prudential Building and 200 Clarendon (or at least what’s supposed to be them) in the background lol
