Stunning car. I had a 73, perfect condition here in Canada, with side pipes and stock engine. Sold it for $800 in '84. Such a mistake! Thanks for maintaining such a beauty
OMG, my late brother had the very same car. Centerline wheels, brush finish, mopar blue, 318 engine, automatic, clean. Many great memories, thanks for the post.
I had a 1971 Satellite Sebring Plus that I bought in Colorado in 1981. On the way back to Minnesota I drove it through Nebraska on I-80 keeping the speed between 115-125 m.p.h. I drove through the middle of the night, sometimes with the headlights turned off. I was burning so much fuel I had to crack the drivers window open a little to let some fresh air in
thanks all komments :) .... this car was 5-6 years my ex fife daily driving :) ... original sebring plus but i make interrior and painting then :) .... 400 bb now ...original 318 car .... seats and console challengers parts ...original long seat :D
Aww! My 1st car I got at 18 in '84 was a '71 Satellite Sebring Plus! $1,500! It was originally a 383 car the previous owner put in a 440 out of a '74 police car for fine power on unleaded fuel, Mopars don't have hardened exaust valve seats till about '73. She was a really nice runner with 727 auto, 3.55 sure-grip and pwr windows, am/fm stereo, disc brakes buckets & console with shift. Black interior, white seats. It was originally Inviolet, Plymouth's name for Plum Crazy & he had painted it yellow with a black stripe to mimic Daisy Dukes roadrunner! lol. Enjoy your Satellite, I loved mine
GOOD LOOK'N CAR!!!!! WHAT HAPPENED TO IT'S BADGE'S????? ONE OF MY BUDDIES HAD ONE BACK IN THE DAY,IT HAD CHROME FACTORY BADGE'S ALL OVER IT!!! 1 ON EACH SIDE ,1 ON THE TRUNK,SOMETHING ON THE HOOD AND ON THE DASH!!!! MAKES ME THINK THIS MIGHT BE A CLONE!!!!!
Only made this body style for 2 years. 71 & 72 are identical grills. this one is missing the Plymouth badge though. I think you might be thinking of a 73' grills & bumpers very different.
@@guidosarducci3047 The 1972 model had a loop rear bumper with larger taillights than the 1971 models. There were a few other minor changes, but other than that, the body style was identical and yes, the 1973 models were completely different in appearance.
I had one of these in the early 1980's had a gutless 318 v8 in it, if I would of had money I would of put a 440 in it. It had the 160 mile per hour speedo in it. all in all a nice car.
The Satellite is the first car I ever drive. I was 5 years old sittin on my dads knees. It will, forever, be the best looking car ever, to me.
I don't even know how my grandfather has one of these... all I know is that he still has it.
