I've only had the blender for a few weeks now, but have used the cups almost daily. I purchased this because my last Ninja mixer finally quit after 8-10 years of continuous usage. It has worked just as good as my other Ninja products. I really don't find it much louder than other blenders AND, I will happily listen to it if it continues to perform blending/dissolving up items the likes of FLAX & CHIA seeds in my shakes/smoothies so they are part of the smoothie!!!! ... and it does it with 5 to 7 PULSES! I must add that the cups & lids are very nice with the additional sealing and closing top that makes it perfect to carry & not worry about spillages.
