Jay ... You think that is bad, you should see the part that they cut out. At 3:50 Louisa Moritz can be seen going in for a second grab at Burt's junk. I saw a since removed clip of this interaction years ago that has her jump up immediately as Burt enters the stage and run over and grabs at his crotch...in front of the world. This is the same woman who accused Cosby of sexually assaulting her. Hypocrisy.

J H Robbins: I TOTALLY AGREE, Sir!! Fertilizer = bird turds (pretty big reach), but making chops does not = slice or carve. Judges could have given the nervous French lady a break, they had to KNOW what she meant! Notice that even Gene says, "Make chops ... he's going to CUT her up." I call total bullshit.
On a side note, it's a tad eerie that host, announcer, Reynolds, and the entire cast is DECEASED. I don't know, it just bothers me. Talk about suspending disbelief!

these really olde ones, gene had so much freedom during taping, to continue matches between contestants between shows. the PM game had more spicy offerings with dumb dora questions, but daytime tv in the early seventies the revolving contestants here just supplied the luminaries here with something to do. it wasn't serious like allen ludden and password. the contestants and prize money justified the entertainment. burt shaking hands really shows this.

Hypocrisy.

3:55 - Brett calls out the backstage homosexual encounter between Burt and Bert. Too funny. 4:38 - Richard Dawson... if this is interfering with your social life... basically calling him out as well.

It's a shame that Burt Reynolds never did The Match Game, but he was to busy with his career, to have time to, for any game show that was out at that time

Movie stars generally did Hollywood Squares instead of Match Game. Squares was seen as a higher class show while Match Game was a looser, less formal show, which didn’t appeal to everyone.
