man, having adhd makes guides like mtq's so difficult to comprehend since i have issues processing words. actually seeing diagrams and being able to read them helps so much, so these guides are an absolute godsend! thanks so much for making these!
As someone with learning disabilities, your guides are a god send. The moving diagrams help me MASSIVELY towards understanding mechanics and bosses in general, thank you so much!
originally I watched some unsync guide but the guy was really quiet, and the information he gave was good but the gameplay was confusing since there was trolls in his group but this guide has been really easy to follow and the diagrams help so much, I definitely will be using more of your guides
Just wanted to say that with three others + PF in a learning party along with this guide, I was able to get a first clear on Seat of Sacrifice before ShB finished. I still don't have it down well enough to feel comfortable setting up a PF for it on my own, but honestly? It felt incredible just to get the clear, and I felt relieved that I knew my role (WHM) well enough to do something like the full party heal at the start (Temperance, Plenary, Medica 2, Cure 3 was my way of doing it). I know that's a small part of the fight, but for someone who started in 5.2 and is only recently getting into (then-)current EX content, and with this fight being as complex at it is, it felt great to have that down. Every pull, I just got into the habit- Temp, Plen, Med2, Cure3, and no more Doom. Thank you again for all these guides- hope you're enjoying Endwalker, when you can get in the servers! ^^;
Just beginning to learn extreme fights and these guides are super helpful with the diagrams and text. It's way easier to re-read slides than to re-listen to a video and these are very well structured!
Your guides are so impressive. I'm not even a raiding yet but even the Big Pull videos helped me a ton. Your video format and your animation work is top notch. Easily the best channel for PvE content.
OH MY GOD? I never knew there was these types of guides beforeee this neat!! it is so beautifully made ! thank you so much I can't process guides where someone is explaning things on top of each other.. reading the notes help a lot!
Great stuff as always! Just a little thing about SMN x WAR phase: if your tanks are willing, they can take both the tethers because the fire debuff actually falls off before the second one. They can use light mitigation to deal with the combination of marker + tether damage. This gives their partner DPS maximum uptime, especially if they are melee. (And you also don't need to worry about those finicky server ticks trying to pass the tether).
But mah uptime! Tanks want to hit things too! A Paladin can use Req there (I don't think it lines up well though depending on phase order) or Cover a ranged dps who takes the tether if you only have 1 melee (distance can be tight though).
Excellent guides as always. As an addendum Quintuple cast isnt in a "random" order there are actually only 5 different Sequences based on which spell is first, but that's a minor thing and doesnt need to specified to learn the mechanic. Keep up the good work I look forward to more ^-^
I haven't even reached the phase where I can access this yet and I already feel like I know how to run it. Amazing vids. Diagrams are the best bit. Keep em coming man you're gonna go far. Thank you!
I’ve been watching a lot of your guides lately and as fellow FGC I really appreciate all the cameos you’ve put during these guides. It’s also so well edited that I initially thought that phase 2 ost was the extreme version only or something lmao but then i was like no, this from KOF02UM! Again, your guides are awesome tysm! o7
bless you, i've been in so many party finders and finally got my clear the other day, but now that your guide came out i'm hoping people will have an easier time understanding the fight now being stuck on blm/whm towers for 3+ hours was too much >_>
@@vivivachi Lol less than this in a pratice is just not worh to learn every thing in the fight. Im doing Kefka Savage and yesterdey i feel so upset the people in pf leaving the pratice in 1 hour. For me the pratice in savages and extremes is 4 hours or more to everybody get the mechanics well.
Thanks for the guide, got me through my first clear today, amazing edit, also Kof music making this video so exciting to hit replay button just for listening it haha.
Fairy, Goodbye Esaka and Zhe Prime? Your music choice is impeccable. Your guides are clear and concise and have become the favorite of my static. Keep it going, and hey, we'll see you at KOF XV I'm guessing?
There's a strat that simplifies Quintuplecast and sacrifices some uptime for safety. As of 5.5 damage isn't a concern if you don't have a lot of deaths. Get in his hitbox, in clock spots, facing out. This resolves Stone, Holy and Gaze. Just remember the order of Fire/Ice and handle those in order.
Great production quality, as always. Slightly sad that you don't include melee uptime for add phase. As in; DPS drop flares on cardinals, (melee drop it on tanks, ranged stack with healers, and melee and tanks get towers. ranged and healer also get tethers.)
Thank you thank you. A month into the patch, as much as I prefer it and pushed for it, the strat has not caught on at all so I chose not to include it in a PF guide. The 2 in the guide are by far the most common ones and what people coming in late will encounter. There's always the standalone diagram. :)
We do make a note of it in the text guide: www.akhmorning.com/raids/wol/#uptime-cardinal-flares Joon also made a separate shorter video for it here ua-cam.com/video/l4tQU75fqJQ/v-deo.html but as he said it hasn't really caught on, at least in Primal PF.
HR tethers is great for melee uptime if your healers know what they're doing, but highly do not recommend it in pugs. I find it's about a 50/50 that your ranged die because your healers don't heal them enough. Sometimes it's because the healer isn't pushing enough buttons, sometimes its because people made mistakes in earlier parts of the fights and the healer is out of resources or cooldowns for quick healing. I find I have a much higher success rate with t/h taking stacks and tethers. It's not as much uptime but it's a lot less pressure on healers, who can derp around and still pass that check.
I have to agree; I haven't actually done the fight a whole lot (though I did get a clear), and I don't think any groups I was in really tried for H/R tethers, but just from explaining the fight as we go, it's far easier to explain how to do DPS tower strat. The DPS check on the adds is pretty easy as well, so even with the lower DPS you shouldn't have a problem beating them in time.
Great Video as always. Here's a bonus tip for when to dps LB: From my experience the boss he may or may not choose to use HG (except if he's in the middle of a cast). And here's the thing: if he uses HG, just CANCEL your LB and wait for his invulnerability to fall off. He wont use HG more than once (I could be wrong about this, so feel free to correct me). There's absolutely no reason to continue casting and then wasting your in LB.
Any LB will trigger his HG if not timed well, if memory serves. I heard my dps groaning when i Healer LB-ed to try and save some people during their burst phase.
Ty for the amazing guide as always. One question though, when PF mentions SMN CW / CCW what exactly does that mean? I just usually swap with my LB partner and hope I don't mess up
Thank you! For example, if you're a DPS and your position is NE for LB3/Stone -- For the SMN markers, you'd go back North (counter clockwise) to bait the marker/cone. So yeah, basically what you're doing but PF ended up wording it that way for some reason. 😂
I'm not even planning to run extreme anytime soon, i'm just here to be in awe of the presentation and editing If you don't mind me asking, what programs do you use to make these videos?
I know this is unrelated to the video(good job btw love the mini map that help demonstrate what to do exactly) but during ‘ultimate crossover’ I wish to know what the song was used there, can anyone tell me?
@@rithli I see. I'm mainly on aether so it's probably just a case of different strats being more common on different DCs. Good to know and thanks for the excellent guide as well as replying so quick :D
I don't think I've seen a single PF group on primal for buddy towers. Always role towers. Probably just a case of it being a lot easier to explain and plan out, IMO.
For whm+blm you can stuck with your LB3 partner (move clockwise, so for ex: sw pair will be on w meteor) and just wait first meteor, then move to next. Ez.

Question: during lb3 as tank, when is it safe to use ur gap closer?
The move snapshots as the castbar is full so you can wait on that or wait to see if you get the Fire vuln debuff.
is this an arranged Chizuru Kagura theme version from KOF 96' ?
You got it
For whm+blm you can stuck with your LB3 partner (move clockwise, so for ex: sw pair will be on w meteor) and just wait first meteor, then move to next. Ez.
Is it just me or does the solo basssline in the song sound like tsuki no ookisa?
i mean it's KoF soundtrack it is always good
first theme name plz ? after the snap
Ah did PF go back to set roles for meteor again? Buddy system was the norm when I was pugging. EDIT: nvm, you raid on Primal, Aether uses Buddy system more.
Kinda sad you went with the THRM for the BLMxWHM. PF has to learn to stick to their partners for LB3 meteors >_>
It's not so much me -- it's what's common in Primal PF as of a month of this fight being live lol
What's this song 4:56 ?
these mechanics are way more complicated than doing some Eden Savages... (besides e8s/e12s)
probably why only 4% have the mount.
