Yup that was the main question overall or rather HD opt out from the project and QJ continued the project and bringing as their product in Indian market,
Importing CBUs or even CKDs makes Harley pretty expensive with the extremely high customs duty and taxes. I am not sure there is a large enough market for HDs in India considering their absence in the below 700cc segment.

I was planning to buy a bike around 5L. I thought of zontes 350r but when I say SRK 400 , its inline twin seat height is less , I am thinking to go for it. What do you recommend? I need a bike with power , smooth engine any easy to slip in Bangalore traffic. Recently I have visited Honda cb500F , it looks great but its onroad price going around 7..

Why do you need to include 150cc motorcycles in every conversation like i swear i have seen videos with Ducati's and triumphs and someone will include it like why it's not even the same segment

@@MAKOS-ky5my ...my dear !! India is a price sensitive market. Customers here want every thing at a low budget and the fuel efficiency is a big issue as well. Mt and r15 cater to the wants of the masses here in this country that too at prices which people here can afford. Mt and r15 r equipped with all the bells and whistles of a proper sport bike like a perimeter frame, alloy swing arm, usd forks, link type rear mono shock, slip and assist clutch, a very high revving yet a very frugal engine which is liquid cool , has 4 valves and its comes with a 6 speed gear box..... yamaha being a japanese giant offers high quality machines and thats the reason that they r selling like hot cakes. Talking about these bikes, they r just some other bike makers for whom the indian people dont care much !! Sad reality.
@@ampassionstruck9138 R15's main market has always been school and college kids with parents money. That is reality tbh. It's not for mature riders due it being underpower and unpractical.

Bonneville copy? All bikes from that time looks almost same. Japanes bikes also copied European bikes. Kawasaki W series copied Triump.

Inline twin is same as in Interceptor 650. This is basic motorcycle mechanics.
