- Dometic RV Absortion Refrigerator Removal.
This video covers how to remove your RV fridge.
I've tried to cover every step, including:
-- Disconnecting Fridge power and gas
-- Removing the screws at back and front that hold the fridge in place.
Here are some of the equipmets we used on the making of this video.
Canon EOS 4000D / Rebel T100 Digital SLR Camera. amzn.to/42svJi5
Canon Stereo Microphone DM-E100. amzn.to/49eJhQC
BONFOTO B690A Camera Tripod. amzn.to/491xB3L
thank you for the no bs get the job done video without the endless chatter about your dog or unrelated subjects, great job!
I agree. What a great video. No BS this is awesome
Thanks for watching!
Yes!!! I love this video! Simple and to the point! 😊 Thank you! Now I gotta change mine out.
Outstanding video! To the point, no nonsense. Thank you.
Thank you
Great video. Straight up got er done. No gossip. Thank you Sir.
Thank you! I really just needed to know where the screws were and you so clearly understand how to give the information that MATTERS! You make a difference!
Wow. I went through all the steps and I sure wish my fridge would just pull out like you just demonstrated. Hence my need to research on UA-cam and I saw your wonderful video. My fridge is exactly like the one you have here. Wish me luck tomorrow when I try this again. Update the next day: Ooops. I discovered a screw that I didn't see before that I had not removed. It pulled right out! Thank you again!
How much would you estimate it weighs?
@@littlet-rex8839 Perhaps 50-60 lbs perhaps. Hard to judge but I'm guessing. My legs did most of the lifting and it was easier to lift after taking off the door. That way I just put my hands on the underside of the top and lifted it out. My arms are not that muscular but my legs are. It's out!
Did you put a new fridge in if not how did you plug the gasline
I did install a new fridge in the RV. 12V Ever Chill from RecPro. It’s not the exact dimensions but I use the extra space to put other items out of the way. Dust pan Broom etc. I also installed 12V to 110V converter. When the power goes out I unplug the cord from the 110 outlet and plug it into the Jackery. I have not done anything with the propane line. However, it is not hooked up at this time so I'm not worried about it. A friend who happens to be an A/C or HVAC licensed told me that he would just crimp it or put a stopper at the open end of the line. But don't take that as gospel. I would ask a few HVAC pros what they would do.
Like a proper action movie hero, all action and doesnt say a dam word.
Thank you for making this, information walk-through helped me greatly!
YW, thanks for watching.
I salute you. I thank you. Yeah, you make it look easy. But your video is Clear and concise . You may be younger than me but you remind me of my Dad. No nonsense til the job was done. What I call "old school". It didn't matter what the job was. Repair, Replace, whatever the case, when he was done, he left the work site better than he found it. Excellent, thank you again
.
Exactly what I needed and nothing more. Thank you.
Straight to it. No life story or other BS. Excellent Job!
Thank you
I have the exact same refrigerator and the video was excellent. I hope I never have to remove mine but I know how now. Thanks!!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks. I will do that today. I appreciate you getting to the point.
Excellent. No BS. Adding this channel.

Best self help video I've ever seen. I have the same unit in a well preserved 2007 FF.
I went to the trailer last week to a dead frig and the aroma of ammonia :(.
I know what and how to do it. Thanks.
I have to replace my fridge. And I have the same (I think) model. So this helps MAJORLY. The video was simple, straight forward and yet VERY concise. Thanks for your video!

Thank you! I just bought an old RV with an identical fridge that doesn't work. I have to remove it and turn it upside to see if that will get the gas to flow.

How to take this oldy out the RV and the newby IN? As my door of the RV is only 28 cm and the cooler 52 cm, there's a big ??????
Good video
Thanks for the visit
Hello, at 3:57, those two metal bracket like where the screw goes in the hole are cut off at the base. Any suggestion for repair and tighten?
Just done this myself and it fell on my left foot. Luckily it wasn't too hard to break anything. Now i have to wait to get someone to help me bring it out the door because the slide out doesn't work and i can't find the manual way to extend it.
I'm planning to do this in the next few days and replacing it with a residential fridge. I will need to cap off the gas line and looks like I will need a 3/8 inch male end cap.. Can anyone confirm that this is correct.
Does the propane line need a cap?
Yes
I couldn’t pull my fridge that easily it was rusted so I grabbed a pry bar and got to work 😂
How do you plug the gasline?
Just a Flare Brass cap
How to get it out the door
So I should be able to do this in 5 min and 34 sec? 😂😂😂. Great video.
Try it
What's with the gas ?
Can you remove a camper refrigerator and replace it with a regular refrigerator I don't like mine.. our camper is on our property and won't be moved so the need for gas or battery isn't necessary. I just want a regular fridge in there.
That’s exactly what I’m going to do, I’m going to replace it with a Magic Chef 10.1cu, all you gotta do is all little bit of trim work on the edges.
