Genuinely bruh, my mom is a fine arts graduate herself, and I've got some of here genes which make me appreciate art, but again I can't study arts specifically cos gotta pay em bills and I ain't good in any art stuff.
Every time Hakita says 'Um' as a nod to the interviewer, I imagine a Hakita Prime being interrupted by a parry (like Sisyphus Prime) 42:00 "...and then there's a sort of scrolling texture that's very subtle to it but that adds a little bit of emotion to it..." Hakita the kind of artist to give emotions to explosions
the way hakita described how the team started working by joining discord calls and making things on the fly is extremely reminiscent of how my friends and I create stuff, was very surprising and inspiring to hear.
I find it so fascinating that ULTRAKILL as a project began as a title screen test specifically. Even now, with as big as the game has become, that origin still shows in how often coverage of the game focuses on that introduction sequence. It is instantly captivating
Hakita is probably one of the most talented people in the industry at the moment, and it really shows in Ultrakill. The entire game is a 10/10 and super inspired.
42:28 Yeah I absolutely loved the new explosions, especially on this like seeing sisyphus doing "This will hurt." The boom is so much more powerful than before
Hakita doesn't feel like some corporate robot or a silent mystery man who never says anything, he's clearly very passionate about Ultrakill and knows what his players would want
I can super get behind the working with other people and just hanging out while doing stuff thing. I find my most productive moments are when im kinda just shooting the shit with a friend streaming in discord, just cuz you can go "hey does this suck?" Or just have someone to hold you to the standard of doing a thing, it really does work
22:43 this is great. I struggle with this a lot and i cant believe i didnt think of it earlier. I remember doing this very thing for a group project during covid and it really helped, so there's no reason why it wouldnt work for other things too

Hakita -FNAF lore master
36:14 he says spoilers but all the clues are already in the game, as long as you have the context from the P-2 ARG. We know who "red text" is
it's too early to outright confirm it though
also it could still technically not be what we think it is, even if that's PROBABLY unlikely
@@randomcatdude very unlikely that it's not what we think it is, simply because Hakita doesn't pull shit out of his ass and actually builds stuff up
Do keep in mind though that not everyone keeps up with material outside of the game like the ARG.
