This may be the best Musician Birthday segment... Paranoid Android, Julie Andrews, Paul's bass. All amazing! However, doing the Nicks Buckingham harmonies is a TALL order.
This is the only part of the show I missed when it was live- and it was the part I was most looking forward to! So glad to see it now. It really was a great week for musical birthdays...
I can see why Thile is obsessed by the Buckingham song. This is the first song I did on mandolin: "Never going back..." (Lindsey B). Very simple, natural, easy, elegant; has deep spirit. Lovely cycle going on. Goddamn, are these shows good? Long live bluegrass.

My favorite part of this video? Critter looking pleased as punch in the background while Serena's getting her moment.
I love this music-centric show. Such a different vibe from old Prairie Home, which was good in its own way.

I know she's sung here and there before, but man, Serena has PIPES.
One of my favorite songs... you guys always lift me up to the best dreams. Much Love! Keep being amazing
This is my favorite part of the new run of APHC. Showcases the whole cast.
Wow...right on!!!! Incredible!!!!
That was an incredible version of Paranoid Android!
Punch Brothers, Chris's band, have done a full version. Love their Radiohead covers. ua-cam.com/video/bp-qVFNPYn0/v-deo.html
Aw Chris and Emily punked out on doing the glorious vocal harmony at the end of the chorus to Never Going Back Again.
