The hydrogen bomb opening move was actually really smart. Since Jibril was outside of the protection of her own sealing magic (thus taking the full blast), Sora and Shiro were able to quickly measure her durability! They could then immediately understand that to kill her they would need something beyond human capability. If they hadn't opened with this, it would have devolved into a trial and error of her vulnerabilities, which would have wasted time if she then got bored.
Bruh if she had just been late to react or didn't protect them they would've lost. What if she doesn't know that the thing explodes, it would've been gg if the mc got no plot armor.
@鄒靈 Yes, she acknowledges in the show that they are pretty insane for trying to self-destruct immediately. I won't argue about plot armor in a show where the protagonists never lose. Also the protags only stand to gain from challenging her, letting her read their books was bait.
@@mike-gx1sc Not really. The entire purpose of Jibril's game is to extract as much knowledge from her competitors as possoble. This is doubly true for her match against Blank since they're a complete unknown. She's also arrogant enough to believe that she can win easily against Blank. And they confirmed both factors by a) proving that they came from another world and b) seeing her attitude towards Imanity and how she immediately assumes she'll win even before the game begins.
It was definitely a gamble, but it was a gamble with a high probablity of working out.
@@mike-gx1scU're watching a show where Sora is supposed to hav an insanely high EQ, while Shiro has an insanely high IQ. Although, they both hav decent levels of both. That's their cheat ability that's well established and constantly being reiterated upon. Less of plot armour and more of their cheat ability. Blank just cold reads Jibril and uses what knowledge they hav of her and their race. They're a super powered war race with a thirst for knowledge, especially with anything new. Why do u think it's unlikely that Jibril would be able to react to a hydrogen bomb and her attention wouldn't be all over a new object she doesn't know about, let alone the fact that being able to react to rapidly changing conditions is probably a requirement for why their race was so successful during the great war.
Yeaaaa??
The animators didn't censor the episode by removing the nipples, it was Sora who said nipples as one of his first words before mentioning women's clothes and that's why the nipples were removed XD
That was smart of the author to have him do that.
@@electronicmayonnaise5692 Its been awhile so I don't quite remember exactly but the canon reason is that Sora always self censors for his little sister, which actually shows that it was planned by Sora lol. Also, weird streaks of light, mist, fog, etc always appears during saucy moments in their world for some reason.
@@1ProAssassin that’s part is the show censuring
@@Louis_2568 Doesn't Sora mention it outright in the show and light novel that it keeps happening?
@@1ProAssassin I’m not sure
This was the episode I was looking forward to the most; this is definitely my favorite episode.

One of the episodes I rewatch just to rewatch
Definitely a giga sussy episode
the best episode too actually.
Crazy how well they glued together SUS, Ecchi, epic and brilliance all together
“Shiritori’s rule”
Firstly one of the person joining the game, starts up the game by speaking out a word.
Then, next person speaks out a word that starts with the last letter of the mentioned word.
and then, game will move on by the same rule.
Basic rules are follows.
1,Two or more people take turns to play.
2,Only nouns are permitted.
3,A player who plays a word ending in the N (ん) loses the game.
orRun out of answer
4,Words may not be repeated.
Example:
Ha-“ru”(はる,Spring)→ “ru”-ru(ルール,rule)→”Ru”-pan(ルパン,Lupin)
The player who used the word Rupa“n”(ルパン) lost this game.
Some versions also have you add another letter onto each new word.
Using your example "Ha-ru" -> "Ru-Ki-A" -> "A-ma-ri-ko" and so on.
The reason for losing if you end a word with N is because in the SYLLABIC japanese "alphabet" there is no single consonants without a vowel included... except for the letter N... but no word in the japanese vocabulary starts with that single N... so if you say it there is no way to continue the game...
So you can’t use the N word? Got it.
@@Sam-vk8xd there is no word starting with just “n” so if you end with it, the game literally can’t continue
@@Sam-vk8xd Na/ni/nu/ne/no exists, but nothing exists that starts with just "N"
2:50 I can't believe this is real. The mad lad, MVP editor is actually making our dreams come true. You're amazing, hahahahahaha.

Me finding out that the sun will explode after 7 billion years:
REJECT IMMORTALITY RETURN TO MORTAL
Our sun won't actually explode since it's not large enough. It'll slowly expand outward as it runs out of hydrogen to fuse and eventually engulf Earth. After it's practically evaporated out it's outer layer it'll be nothing but a hot core (white dwarf)
Episode 6 might be my favorite. Jibril is great but the game they play is so intense
Really? It didn’t feel that intense to me. I was kinda just waiting for it to be over.
@@Sam-vk8xd to each there own. I loved it
I though it was awesome how he started off with Hydrogen Bomb to set the tone. As well as all the steps used to setup the victory. Its my favorite game in the show.

Not really. Them winning is literally just ass pull. Not fuking sure how can they survive In space with that much radiation. Also, when they created the big bang, they should die first not jiburi. So, jiburi should have won, but obviously the author ass pulled it and say jiburi died first so they won. Knowing the fact that juburi can withstand hydrogen bomb and radiation, shiro and sora should have been way dead
@@edwardso8903 Actually the human body can take loads of radiation before it dies from it, since people never die from radiation itself but rather radiation poisoning which takes a couple of days or even months to show effects they would very much survive a couple of second it not some good hours.
As for the big bang, they climbed the stairs of that temple so they would be higher up when they removed the surface of the planet therefore jiburi was closer to the explosion and died first, since the game finishes when 1 of the participants dies first, it doesnt matter that the bib bang moves faster than light, it was a very well calculated plan.
@@edwardso8903 The explosion they created was so hot that it instantly incinerated her, even if she can survive an atomic explosion, the 'hypernova' they caused was an dozens of orders of magnitude hotter and even if it was moving at the speed of light, it killed her before the explosion reached them. A hydrogen bomb releases about 1x10^17 Joules of energy (100,000,000,000,000,000 or 100 Quadrillion) while the big bang is estimated to have released 10^68 Joules of energy (100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 or 100 Unvigintillion). For reference the universe is about 436,117,076,900,000,000 (100 Quadrillion) seconds old.
@@edwardso8903 She only says she would have been fine, but remember, immediately after that shielding spell, they removed spirit circuits, vastly limiting what she could do physically/magically in the game specifically. I would think much of their strength mentioned in later about the old wars is because they can wield such massive amounts of magic. I don't know what the top 5 races in the world are, outside of likely dragons and the old deus, I would estimate anything less would likely be only about as durable as regular people without magic, maybe 2x more durable, but remember, they made as much of a distance in elevation as they could before setting off the last series of words, and at the point of time, they only needed to be in the game for a fraction of time longer than the opponent, since they had set-up the reply earlier on. Even at a 2-3 durability, I highly doubt it's anywhere near enough to overcome that level of force in that short of a time period much less after the shock of them managing the reply in such a situation. It was entirely on her to reply to their word with one more, for her to win even if they both were made unable to reply to the other's word at one point.
@@edwardso8903 I actually did read science journals talking about this. Humans can "survive" in space for longer than u think so long as they're not directly in a stream of powerful radiation. I think a lot of ppl in the comments have a misconception on what radiation is but they're also not wrong on the effects of lower levels of radiation. As for Jibril, she was killed instantly. I don't get why u think that she'd last even a second in that.
The star explosion is actually real, thats what happens when a star explodes and weeks ago a star actually exploded light years away.
A hypernova only takes place when a supermassive star implodes. In other words, a star that's dozens of times the size of our sun. The thing is: Sora didn't just cause one hypernova. By subtracting coulomb's force from that reality, the overpowering nuclear attraction of atoms would draw them all together and trigger a universal fusion detonation. Basically, EVERY star would go supernova/hypernova.
Science
@@Slays_Media yeah basically a hard reset of every star and galaxy in the universe.
@@Slays_Media And since Jibreil was closer the to core, the greatest point of gravity near them, she got hit first by the nearest explosion as they were drawn together there.
@@Slays_Media Would there even be anything left after something like that.
Shiritori is a game where the first person says a Japanese word. For example, sushi. The next person has to say a word that begins with that last syllable of the previous word, and so on.
Su-shi
Shi-i-ta-ke
ke-shi-ki
(etc)
Only nouns may be used, and if you repeat a word, can't come up with a word, or use a word that ends in N (ん - which no Japanese words begin with), you lose.
kitsune
Just want to add that there's an english version of this game too. In that version, it's the last letter becomes the first letter of the next word. For example, "Grape" "Elephant" "Triumph" and so on.
The creator of this series actually choose words and phrases that fit both the japanese AND english versions of this game. Quite a big brain move.

Lupa's reaction to the whole star explosion was priceless omg
Lupa having a whole reality check had me weak 😂
I LOVE this episode but it must have been a absolute nightmare to try and localize.
This episode is simultaneously the most ridiculous and most hype episode ever
After a second watch I can confirm they have said "Yeah" and/or "YEEEEEAH" a total of 25 times.
The YpM (yeah per minute) is high in this episode.
The crazy thing is yall be having me say "yeahhh?" Irl when i see some bullshit💀

GOD DAMN I'VE MISSED THE ANIME. watching this as a young'un made me feel so big brain lmao, it also made me love all sorts of strategy games.
Damn, Roshi just got the concept of shiritori just from seeing it in action. Never seen someone get it that fast.
That's because people too busy reading subtitles and not listening carefully
is it that uncommon of a game? I have seen variations of it multiple times
It was also a game/life or death test situation in Yu yu hakusho. That's where I got the concept of it and I'm sure he watched it as well
waiting for Sheera to blindside them with "no bitches" in one of these intros
God I've already seen you guys react to this so many times but still funny as hell when Lupa looks out the window being like that could be our sun at any moment
I love how Jibril got reminded of the mcs in the movie (zero) after they won. Just beautiful
God I’ve loved these reactions can’t wait for the next EP also can’t wait for y’all to give the movie a try
A day for Blank is from when they wake up till they go back to sleep = several all nighters and days later dog could still be in effect on Steph.
i ddnt expect for them to understand the game. i just seriously thought that they would be confused until the end.
The crunchyroll subs fucked up this episode so bad. They made up words and shit when they could have just translated it properly...
i agree. kinda ruins the game with nonsense words
Rip to steph. She experienced death multiple times during that game. She was the one who disintegrated after the oxygen was removed.
We have this game in America, but we play it where the next word you say has to begin with the same letter that the last word ended with. In the Japanese, the word has to begin with the same mora/syllable that the last word ended with. It makes translating this episode tricky. I’ve seen two versions, one that is literal and they show the hiragana with the linking character circled. And I’ve seen a version where they try to nudge the words so it fits the American version rules. I like the former better because the later has some weird translations.
And of course this version toggles the existence of the thing the word they say represents, which is rather interesting.
Techiniqually yes that is what happens, some expand slow...some extremely violet and large beyond comprehension. Some are bascially star matter cannons (theres one pointed at us) that shoot off into space vaporizing everything in its path.....
Still, that wasn't just a supernova. What Sora did was remove the electromagnetic force, that removes the electromagnetic fields that keeps the atoms together, making the WHOLE universe to collapse in a singular point in an infinite nuclear fusion, which makes an explosion of infinite degrees and left absolutelly nothing behind: basically, an inverse Big Bang. (this is *theorically* possible in Physics)
Shiritori, if I recall correctly, is a word game. Basically one person says a word, then the next person has to say a word that ends with the last syllable of that word. So, for example.
Promb(lem) to (lem)m[ing] to [ing](ot) to (ot)[ter] to [ter]mina(tion)
no one:
literary no one:
sheera: they could of said the N-word
Funny thing is, they actually couldn't. That would mean the player before them ended a word with 'n', which is an automatic loss (at least in regular Shiritori)
@@ZaberFangAT cool to know
@@ZaberFangAT not in Flügel's shiritori
Someone already explained what the shiratori game is. However as a twist in Jibril’s game. In every word they say, if it’s existing or if it’s already there then IT WILL DISAPPEAR BUT If it DOES NOT exist then it will appear or manifest itself in its place. Like when Jibril said horse, a horse appeared and when Sora said nether regions since everyone in there has one, it disappeared
9:20 LMAO that's what happens when a star...
This is the best episode from this anime, and yes, that's basically why when the sun dies, the earth will be destroyed
It is? I was hoping it’d get better.
9:20 yes that is what happens when a star blows up and not just our sun a sun could be lightyears away and the explosion could still affect us
It's a word chain game. One person starts with a word and the next person has to say a word that starts with the letter at the end of the last word (or japanese character in this case) and so on.
That guy who predicted all those yeah's hit a homerun.
His face after the star explosion and realization lmao i loved it especially when he looks out the window
LFG, This episode is goated 😏
Shiritori/Word Chain is a children's game in Japan. You say a word and your opponent has to say a word starting with the last letter/character you just said. For instance: Skateboard, Door, Rollercoaster, Robin, Nitro, Oxygen, North, Heat, Trees etc. But in the show they use magic to enhance the game. When you say a word, if it exists, then it disappears and, if it doesn't exist, it appears. For example: Sora said "Hydrogen Bomb" and an A-Bomb appeared and later said "Oxygen" causing the Oxygen atoms to disappear.
9:26 Lupa contemplating Life 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
After the supernova scene
You're probably the first reactors I've seen who got the circular breathing thing. Kudos
new episode = new time me asking to get a glimpse (at least) of their reaction to Ep 11's OP in the YT edit 😍
“That’s what happened when I star explo-“😂
i believe the point of the game is to start the next word with the last letter of the last word. no repeats etc. example ocean - newt - time - entertainment - toxins -snow etc. but translated to english they seem more random since japanese ends with shi to etc. you cant repeat a word and you cant use a word that means the same thing. if you dont answer within a set time you also lose
Lupa about to call up NASA to make sure everything ok with the stars🤣🤣
😂 in near future. Maybe.
9:20 no, that is not what happens when a Star explodes. You are thinking of a supernova.
This is a Hypernova. It’s _Worse_
shiritori is a japanese game translated as word-chain in english. basically whatever word you say has to start with the last letter of the previous word.
One of the smaller but vital big brain moments is that Sora and Shiro jump so that they'll remain above Jibril when they make everything explode
Roshi been saying all this time "SCIENCE"
Well, they best thing about a star going supernova near us is we won't have time to notice or panic, it would be over before the flash even registered, there is no defence against a star doing a little trolling... so don't worry about it.
imagine working in military project and hydrogenbomb you worked on just suddenly disappeared 💀💀💀
9:21 My lungs hurts 😭
Honnestly as much as i remember i loved this anime when i watched it ... this is literally the only episode i remember from it lmao this episode is a masterclass
Shiritori is a Japan Favorite wordplay chain game, meaning whatsoever prefix, syllable, glyph or ending letter on the last word your opponent gave must correlate by nature of denomination.
RULES
•Words can't end with the letter N and since the battle is traditional, they can only use nouns only - no verbs, adjectives, etc.
•It's a battle of wits following a format until one of your opponents can't think of any more nouns matching with what was said.
*So yeah it is a roulette*
Props to the editor for using footage from EveTaku's subs for the shiritori game.
Hands down my favorite episode, also:
Jibril: *favorite character has joined the party*
Jibril is amazing, especially in english, her english VA alone is enough to justify watching this in dub.
shiro was basically abandonned to a facility where they test kids about intelegence but the place has no colour but only black and white she was super big brained thasst the other kids stopped talking to her and even the adults in white stopped interacting with her until her mom introduced her new husband soras dad and sora challedgenged her in a game sora basically gave colour to her world and vise versa thats wehy they cannot be seperated they basically the other whole world cause their parents abbandonned then shortly after
5:20 i think its just like you continue to say the last syllable of the last word to be the first syllable of your next word and continue until they cant or dont have words to say
9:20 The Lupa realisation of how Universe work🤣
Hahaha!
Am loving the content that’s coming out and the streams would be fun having lupa be on a stream
I have rewatch this 2 times since you started this series
no matter how many times I watch it, this game is always amazing
no just strategy but actual cultural test, where you can see how much stuff you actually know
For who didn't get the coulomb's force
Basicly the atoms are holding each other with two powers, the coulomb's force and the nuclear force, they are opposite
So if the coulomb's force disappears, basicly every atom will turn to nuclear bumb
So long as there is mass and intense heat heat to trigger that reaction when they collide, hence the exposed core of the planet, and since the nova originated there Jibrel was hit first and lost.
This video set the new "yeah" record.
And then episode 8 is next anticipated episode. Where they challenge the war beast. Its hyped
6:09 actually they technically didn't censore anything, well they did but ... they way they did it in this episode was very smart. You see, in the game they played in this episode, anything they say that wasn't there will appear, and anything they say that are there will disappear instead. If you pay closer attention, you'll see that Sora actually said "Nether regions" and "N*pples" before he made the girl clothes disappeared, so they didn't get censored, they literally disappeared within the context of the story.
I'm not sure it is the same standard day, since the game literally bent reality so maybe time reset to when they started, or if time moved forward during game play. But Steph's punishment would last longer anyway because Sora and Shiro's terms of "how long a day is" is longer than the 24hr day Steph expects (and winners set the terms). Like because they do all-nighters on a daily run, they see it as like 30 hrs for example.
Just like others have said this was “shiritori” but with a twist, it’s actually “materialization shiritori” where it plays exactly the same as the former except with the added rule that depending on what you say if it was already present in the pocket dimension before saying it then it would be erased. Such as when they said “nipples” and then stripped the girls as a clever way to censor them (they literally lost their nipples due to the game but obviously after the game everything was returned to normal)
I need a parody of that one Big Smoke video, but with Roshi's long drawn out YEAH just inhaling the universe.
To be clear that is not what happens when a simple star explodes. That was a hypernova. That rivals the big bang
its a game where if you say a word and the item or thing exists, it vanishes. If the thing in question is not present or does not exist (the nuke) it appears
What Sora did when he showed "Coulomb's Force" was remove the electromagnetic force (one of the 4 fundamental forces in the universe), that removes the electromagnetic fields that keeps the atoms together, making the WHOLE universe to collapse in a singular point in an infinite nuclear fusion, which makes an explosion of infinite degrees and left absolutelly nothing behind: basically, an inverse Big Bang. (this is theorically possible in Physics)
Easy game. Basically start with any word. Then the next person has to say a word that starts with the last syllable of the previous word. If you wanna do this with the English language: i.e. start with plane, then use "e" to say elephant, then use "t" to say trombone, etc. etc. etc. until someone either repeats a word already said or can't think and gives up. In this particular game if you say a word of an object that is not there, then it will materialize. If it is there, it disappears.
It actually worked well in English and you could understand the rules better. Plus I like her voice in the dub so get how her tone is when she talks to creatures beneath her
This episode to me is definitely one of the most creative episode in anime history. The animation, the play and just over all the genius behind the game itself and how it works in this world is just amazing!
I was not notified of this for some reason. Luckily it was in my recommendations.
12:01 Lupa used “Subscribe Blast”…..it was very effective.
Not trying to freak you out, but when a star collapses in on itself. It can obliterate solar systems, or even galaxies depending on how big it is. It’s horrifying
The sudden realization from Lupa that the sun is a star......................ruh roh
cant help but laugh every time when lupa see's the star blowing up.
YEEEEEEAAAAAAA?
was my favorite moment
Now this is what we have been waiting for
Bro, there were some mental gymnastics going on this episode to translate all the words so they still followed the rules of the game. Kudos to whoever did that, because I know I probably couldn't
I cant wait for u guys to see what has Jibril done in the past
Definitely should've watched this dub lmao. This animes a blink and you'll miss it, so reacting and talking is just gonna leave yall confused.
So basically if they mention a subject, it will either appear or disappear. For example Sora took the first move and said Hydrogen Bomb but there was no certain object in that area so the former appears and when he answer's Jibril's Horse (U/Ma) by saying Vagxna (Ma/N/Ko) that would result in having every Vajayjay found in that area disappear. In short, what is in there, disappears and vice versa.
In the US it's known as WORD CHAIN
My mans had an existential crisis after seeing how a star blows up.
