    It's so nice to see real life with kids who have different needs. People have no idea how hard it is to parent kids that are not neural typical. The struggle is real, but rewarding to see the growth and progress. Thanks!

I love it how you don’t just show the positives to a day to day life. I can totally relate to how anxious it must of been leaving him on his first day. Hopefully he’ll settle soon and enjoy his time at school. Your little Lincoln is absolutely adorable 🥰

    I understand how hard it is to not be able to explain to your little one what's about to be happening. My daughter's first year of school she was in Head Start. It was awful. The people, and the school were not a good fit. I suspected she was autistic but she had not yet been diagnosed. We both cried every day. It felt like I was" feeding her to the wolves". Last year she was in Pre-K. She was diagnosed with autism, and the new teachers & school did so great! We are at a whole new school this year. I'm so happy to say that this year she's in kindergarten,and doing great! Neither of us has cried once. Thankfully she has a wonderful team of people on her side. It's hard at first, but it will get easier. You all did great for the first day. Sweet family. 💖

    what an exciting new phase for you all. One of my children hates short sleeves and trousers too. So my mom sewed pants and long shirts with really thin fabric for the summer with patterns that he loves. and she made the sleeves just a tiny bit shorter like 7/8 trousers) so some air can come in.

    The trend of not showing kids is more bc people are waking up to the truth about social media and how kids are being affected. As we know, Their privacy is really important. Alot of them now that are older are being more vocal about it. Its hard not to show them, specially bc as a mom your kids are your life if thats what your filming, im trying to transition myself to that now so lets see. Its hard and their so cute so why not show them🥴🥴 its a sacrifice.
    Great video girly! Love from New York!

      Yes, I know the full reason! I didn’t want to go down a rabbit hole because I tend to lose my train of thought 😅 it’s so hard! Sometimes I want to take them off then on the other hand I feel like I don’t share them a whole lot. I’d say 75% of our lives are private. There’s sooo much I don’t film. Like you said I can’t film myself without my family with me because that’s my life 🙃 but I’m trying to be more aware of boundaries ! 🫶🏻 and thank you!!

    I have a tough time getting info out of my son how his school days are too. My husband saw something that said instead of asking "how was school" or "what did you do at school" ask "high, low, buffalo" so basically what was the best thing to happen, what was the lowest part of the day and one silly thing. He's also a big numbers guy so we get him to rate is day 1-10 :)

      I think it works best if you ask less open questions like “did you seat next to a friend today ?” I feel like open questions never give me an answer with my boys. Then from a more specific question we can usually start a conversation

    Texas has been 110-115 degrees with humidity. It has been absolutely miserable this summer. We got in our car and it said 116. I have a two year old and I feel like we’ve been so cooped up because of this heat. It finally let up this week.

    Any tips for getting kids to tolerate brushing their teeth? My little boy is 20months and it is a battle! He cries so hard he stops breathing and passes out. I’m amazed Hudson not only did some himself but then just stood with his mouth open to let you finish.

    • @MadelieneVanMarter
      @MadelieneVanMarter  11 місяців тому +2

      Oh no I’m so sorry 😢 the dentist said I don’t have to brush for more than 30 seconds. I try to sing songs or even take a few second breaks because I imagine their jaw hurts from keeping their mouth open for so long. Hudson’s almost 3 and he JUST started letting me do this with a battle. I mean literally last week 😅 so I understand your struggle somewhat! I’d ask your pediatrician what you can do :)

    I think with the filming the kids part you mentioned. Its just about boundaries. Not filming anything of your kids that you wouldn't want filmed yourself. E.g. bath time, illnesses or sharing detailed information about their medicines etc.
    From the videos ive watched of yours I think you already dont film those elements and tbh most of your videos are from your POV versus the kids.
