  • Does Bladderwrack Work and What Are The Benefits? - What’s That About?
In this episode of What’s That About, I explore bladderwrack uses, the question being Does Bladderwrack Work? and what are the reported benefits of using bladderwrack on your skin and including bladderwrack in your diet.
Also, what are the side effects of sea moss and bladderwrack, and how to take bladderwrack?
Bladderwrack is often mentioned in the same sentence as sea Moss and Dr. Sebi.
Historically bladderwrack was used to help with thyroid conditions such as goitre due to the its high iodine content. I explore how bladderwrack has been used historically and how and why bladderwrack has been used topically in cellulite creams today.

Yes, I just incorporated bladderwrack into my last sea moss batch. The smell was overwhelming when I first opened the bag, almost sent it back to the seller, lol. I soaked it with limes and added honey; tried it in one of my juices that I made and didn’t taste a thing. It blended really well. I think I’m gonna stick with it. 👍🏾

Do not use if hyperthyroidism is your problem. Take NAC milk thistle and dandelion root tea. Avoid excess iodine. We all need a little iodine. Hypothyroidism needs more iodine. It's the opposite with hyperthyroid. And no person should use white table salt ever. Use kosher sea salt at minimum. No processed foods either

Just my opinion but be careful mixing sea moss and bladderwrack they both have high amounts of iodine and to much is bad for your thyroid. Thyroid plays a major part in your body.

Hello. I just purchased some and I'm considering using it for tea. However you sparked my interest in using it in smoothies. How much do you use? And I'm assuming you liquefy it first because you strain it, so is that the liquid base you use for your smoothies? Also, if you dont mind me asking what are you using it for and what benefits or improvements you've seen?

Really strange that many years ago I took a lot of Sea Kelp as I heard it helped normalise the Thyroid! At the time I had an Overactive Thyroid, but had put on a lot of weight due to over prescribing on medications and the Kelp helped me shift 56ibs of weight in under a week, however in recent years I turned to the more synthetic Lugols version of Iodine, but found myself going in the opposite direction and developing an Iodine Induced Underactive Thyroid (Wolf-Chaikoff Effect)!
So overdosing Iodine can be dangerous, but I’m not sure if consuming in it’s synthetic form versus consuming it in its natural state with fibre and a ton of other nutrient and minerals offsets the effects!

@@elizabethrllm1868 I’m also a bit confused at what is being said. From what I got from this is that they cursed themselves however developed a reverse problem by replacing the sea kelp and consuming a synthetic version of iodine.

I don't know if you see it, but there is a comment above by Darline Calixte. She says that «bladderwrack is also known to cause menstrual bleeding; I experienced this. As mentioned in the video it mentions the hormonal effects. Therefore, it is best for women to research the effects before consuming, and limit their consumption of it.»
