Am a beginner n was wondering why are we adding 2inches instead of one at the bust/waist
The dart only takes 1inches

Heyy, so I used 2” because this is a bustier with a breast cup, so it could hold the breasts properly. If it was a normal top without breast cups I would use 1” for dart.
so the size of the dart differs according to size and how busty the person is.
So how I know how much to take for the dart at the UB is I minus the underbust circum. from the bust circum.
if the difference is
4 to 5 inches I use 1.5”
6 to 7 inches I use 2”
8 to 9 inches I use 2.5”

Bust line- 25.4cm
Underbust line-34.3cm
Chest line- 7.9cm from lower shoulder
These measurements vary from person to person so it’s better to take custom measurements.

@@Thelafashion girl I no nothing about sewing , I only know how to cut and bend and shape cloths . But I really want to learn how to sew so bad. I just bought a pattern from Amazon I hope it works

@aliceumo1109 try to take it step and step, trial and error, the more you try to sew the better you become. Eventually you’ll get it 💕
