I have a large clump of lady palms in my back garden in Phoenix AZ. They spread through their roots. Mine are 7 to 8 feet tall and dark green. They like more shade here in Arizona so mine grows under a Senegal date palm.

There's not much info in English on watering anywhere on the net. I'd like to know how often you water yours if you don't mind sharing - just to gain some insight :-) Your knowledge is appreciated! Thanks

Thanks for the video! Any idea what causes dark brownish spots with yellowish halos on the lower leaves? Is it lacking a particular nutrient?

My Laoensis and Humilus cross flowers every spring and the flowers smell sweet.

Awesome! I’m happy you got around to Lady Palm! I have a green leaf one that put out a flower, I guess it’s a male, because there wasn’t seed, as you said. I’m growing it as a house plant. How often should I repot it? I’m just getting started with palms, but I live in zone 6. So my Needle Palm is still kicking after a week of -5°F!! I may try a Sabal minor if I can get a decent sized one. Nishiki likely means “beautiful” in Japanese because Nishikigoi (Koi) roughly means “beautiful carp”

I would actually overpot these palms so the new suckers will have room to spread out. That name sounds right, I will try and translate it somehow!

May I know the name of the other plant that appears from the very inception of the video, which foliage texture resembles a cycus; but I hope it is not so...

Can it grow in very low light conditions?
Almost no natural light just normal household LED-based lighting...
