This could be the reason why the visa officer felt you wouldn't have enough money while you thought otherwise. Also the cities you mentioned are among the most expensive ones.

I guess the reason why he was not selected is because interviewer does not felt that he would able to finance his trip as he also mentioned to visit Las Vegas. And also interviewer would have felt that he is not genuinely interested in visiting American by his answer of "purpose of visit"
First is being well groomed. And he should have told truthfully he was a student. Even before he came to embassy. They have all details about a person. You are dealing with the US People. Indian gov gives all details to US embassies. They know everything. He was rejected based on not being truthful. My brother worked in US consulate in mumbai for few years. So he told me many things. The last thing they check is finances. Finances are secondary. Coming to Japan why visa is not strict. Japanese have the strongest immigration policies. So no one can just enter and start working or being a illegal. Once you enter USA or Uk you are a free bird. No one checks on you. Probably I should start my own channel. I traveled all over the world.
I had this experience due to my look at panvel local train station. I have grown my hair and not shaved. police came to me and asked questions couple of questions like why I came to panwel? Where I am from? Kind of basic questions. But that day I felt that at some place grooming is important else everyone will misunderstood with the naksals or terrerist.

@@navankurchaudhary8038 you are also medical student and i am too in psychology we study personality and what is the first step of personality that is grooming it doesnt mean how you look it only means how you maintain yourself
I have some other points to add to this topic. It is not about bhav bhadane wali bat bro. Every country has a set of procedures and we have to respect that. Our country India also has a lot of procedural delays in most of the things even for Indians. Shakal wali baat is not true to a great extent unless koi alag se rockstar ban ke nahi ja raha hai. (I have seen someone in the embassy wearing flashy clothes with a lot of gold chains and all). We might think they have not seen anything while interviewing but they actually do. If anything a person says which doesn’t match with the information in the form is definitely a red flag. Other thing is as you also mentioned about people coming through Mexico route. Illegal immigration is also a big factor for extra scrutiny and due to this even genuine people have to suffer as happened in your case. Intent of coming back to the home country is what they mainly want to see during a tourist visa interview. Unfortunately, a lot a people work illegally on US tourist visa (B1/B2) and even worse they stay back even after visa expiration. Due to this people who genuinely want to visit and travel face the consequences. I shared my perspective as I think these things are also important to consider while discussing this topic. The information could also help some future US visa aspirants.
Trump administration was always in favour of stricter immigration rules. Whenever a rule was passed especially regarding H1-B visa, Indians used to sweat out. Now the new government has reversed everything.
U r not alone, once I have read even our railway minister Shri George Fernandes was made to take out his pants in checking at us airport, so I think us is worst country, u can see racism over there
5:50 "Apne hi desh me" Embassies and Consulates are considered as foreign soil... they belong to the country whose embassy/consulate is situated there and it's governed by a lot of international laws and treaties....
V informative. U are exactly right. Mine USA was refused 3 times from London. I visited Japan, New Zealand, Canada, Germany, Switzerland, France. I live in U.K.. they only give visas to those who intend to go and work in USA. If u are genuine visitor they refuse. They choose wrong
Sir, Getting Usa visa is not an ultimate destination , Yes i would like to touch one of the important aspect of psychological aspect of our societal behaviour, and even u may have experienced yourself. The general belief in the society is that American educatiin system, their lifestyle and security is much better than our own country. Which many times disappointed me. We need to see our society in broader spectrum . We are best in education, culture, tradition etc. So Dear the rejection from so called intellectuals should not demoralise the confidence of any one. Be postive and be Confident We should always have a dream and work for its reality that one day there may be reverse brain drain and we feel and give pririoty to our own place/ country rather than sacrifice our own self esteem for sake of money. Trust me there is nothing outside this country which we cannot achieve here. DR. SANJAY MATTOO
For all those who have gone through rejections or plan to apply for visas to first world countries. The most relevant aspect is how well you are anchored in your home country. 1. They want to be sure you are not immigrating in disguise and have strong reasons to be back. Second is financial backing, part of which is linked to point 1. 3. Be honest. Your interview is a mere 20% of the decision. An extensive background verification is usually already carried out before you see them. This is why submit only facts in the form, facts which can be verified by a third person. If you are a student, say so. If you're working, give all the info about employer. Embassies have a battery of staff involved in processing visas. US being in high demand, you can expect scrutiny. This was through my personal experience applying for visas to various countries including the US. Although I am no expert, hope this helps. Safe travels!
the students who visit usa for studies and eventually end up applying for permanent residence, do they also state that they will return back to their country or what is the statement?
U r not alone, once I have read even our railway minister Shri George Fernandes was made to take out his pants in checking at us airport, so I think us is worst country, u can see racism over there
Whoever is planning the apply for B1/B2 visa , don't try to lie while filling application form. The moment you submit online visa form your background checks starts. Somehow the embassy has all access to your information. Physical interview is just a formality and the decision is already made whether to grant you the visa or not.
Can See Your Frustration, This Is My 4th Passport (Traveling around the world so getting filled fast) and I have a ton of visas stamped and pasted in my passports. I gave them all the documents along with my bank details which are healthy in all the way. But that guy rejected my visas just because He wanted to, He rejected my visa just because I am single at the age of 34 and as per him I will not come back as I do not have family here in India. that bugger was not aware that i have parents and siblings here and I have land here and have a beautiful life here In India. If someone will give me American visas in free also then also I will not take it as they think we are baggers and want to run away from India.

Don’t worry you can try again after you travel some other country’s. I am in USA for more then 35 years and I own 2 companies so I can help with invitation latter and also for your stay because I own 2 timeshares .
I understand your frustration but no one forcing some one to apply and pay the embassy fee. We should understand well before applying that there is a chance of rejection and prepare for it in advance. As for the guy in the video, I think he has the inferiority complex. No one judge you by your face. Personality on the other hand plays an important role. The interviewer try to judge you from your behavior and answers whether you are a genuine traveller. But they are also human so they make mistakes. But I think confidence and preparation is the key to cracking this interview.

The USA Embassy rightly rejected your visa application. First, because you concealed the fact of your being a medical student from them, something you should not have done . Secondly, being a you-tuber, you may pose security problem by filming their vital installations and making the video available to all and sundry on the you tube.
You should not have told the guy who was taking your interview that you are a UA-camr. This implies that you are applying for a Tourist visa to USA, but will get paid from UA-cam for your videos. That directly means you are going to work on a Visitor visa, which is a big red flag. This could have been the reason for your denial.
Bhai Australia is a good country, I am here since 2008. If your documents are right, you will get visa 100%. As per my experience, in Australian nobody will reject your visa on your looks.
Most important for US visa if you are young man/woman: You need to prove you have reason to come back such as you have permanent job and property. If not, you will be straight away rejected.

Another thing is your age is probably in 20s and you probably unmarried that’s red light for them. If you are really interested and want to get it, why don’t you get visa for canada and physically go there and apply for US visa from Canada. I feel like the reason of rejection is you, not them.

you have to learn the process, the visa for tourist is based on an algorithm, at a current point of time, the only limited visa is issued. and following that based on situations. for example, if you want to attend an event, conference, marriage, etc. as you mentioned you are going for visiting and tour... it becomes nonpriority for them. They already have enough tourists in that time frame in the US. The amount of people who wants to visit the USA is triple compared to Israel, you are comparing tomato with potato. Secondly, the US is not a very tourist-oriented country, Europe is... The USA is more business-oriented, anything that makes business sense, or professional need is considered on priority hence all the people visiting for meetings, seminars are preferred because they have an itinerary. You told him about which places you wanted to visit.. if you could have given him your travel itinerary.. high chances of approval even in case of tourist visa because it should you have business sense. Desi bhasa mae hr launde ko bhejne late USA tho, USA India bnjayega... kyoki hr indian ko USA jaane ka but shawk hai. The Line that you mentioned is due to the demand of people wanting US visa. the more the demand, the strict the rules to maintain system and prevent chaos. Its so evident, that he is interviewing 100 people in a stretch and you go to his face and say Uncle mjhe USA ghoomne jana haii kyo jana haii... bs avaiiiii tho cancel hoga hi visa...
@@UnmeshaMishra They know. They have enough data at their disposal. Govs share data as well. One Google search can tell you what someone does. Sirji, I agree with you, Hamne sabse jyaada chadake rakha hey USA ko. I have seen these kind of long and long lines in Mumbai. Go to some other country where we are respected. In some countries Indians are really respected. and we will respect them and start go there.
Bhai saari problem ki wajha yehi hai ke tum ne unko yeh bta diya ke tm youtuber ho aur tmhari income youtube se hoti hai jiska mtlb yeh hai ke interviewing officers ke pas ab yeh point hai ke tm agar us mein ruk jaatey ho toh bhi tm paisa kama sakte ho aur apne desh wapas nahi aaogey. Aap esa bol skte ho ke haan mai youtuber hun aur mera channel gaming pe based hai aur mai E3 attend karne jaa rha hu, 90% chance tha visa hath mein hota tumhare
Sometimes it’s all on the visa officers mood, I think he was in no mood to give you the visa when you already told us he didn’t even check your passport. This means he wanted to reject you before you even started the interview.
If I Was the visa officer and a 20 something unmarried guy who looks like a homeless person came to me with attitude, who has lied on his visa application by not disclosing that he is a medical student, who considers a piddly little youtube earning to be stable source of income and does not have a stable job, chooses to give interview in Hindi, doesn't show any bank statement proving that he can pay for himself and above all shows NO ties that would make him come back to India... then I would ALSO NOT bother to open the passport and slide the "Sorry you are rejected" form letter through the glass partition... LOL
They only look for "Immigrant Intent" especially for young applicants. You should have a mentioned Medical Student undergoing classes. Surely, you have to then give leave approval from Medical school. The look for strong reason to return.
Your answers were wrong in a lot of sense. The answer to the question "what do you do" can be “I am a medical student studying at this college, I am currently in this year. I am also a UA-camr where I share my knowledge on travelling to various countries”. The answer which you gave was simply not convincing to the interviewer. The purpose of taking the passport from you before the interview is to decide whether to keep or give you back. They will never ask you to do something like to bring NOC from college, during the interview and then come, they also know that it is not possible. Your answers have to be prepared and rehearsed at least a few times, that's one thing you can do since you are spending 14K on application. There is a reason why the USA visa is the most powerful. They reject candidates on the basis of lack of information or you might not be able to convince the interviewer that you are actually going to travel or not do something else. And regarding long lines, it is our people's choice that they are going. I am sorry but your words in the video are kind of discouraging and biased.
Same thing happened with me as well bro...back in 2016....i had to wait outside in queue for at least 1.5 hours and the interviewer asked just 2 questions - What do you do and purpose of visit....even though I had genuine invitation letter, my visa was refused. Interview finished in less than 2 minutes
Bro i think its your mistake for this rejection.. You should have proper document. If you saying you doing medical then you should have holiday letter from medical. It is too easy too get usa visa. I have usa visa also i have UK visa too. You saying they having too big form to fill up, but i think all the question they ask is all neccesary. They dont want to waste their time in interview for asking such question. They all people are very smart & I think that is nothing bad in that. So i vll say the form is too easy too fill up. Everytime i fill the form i am enjying. I help my friends too.. They all have visa as well now..
yes.. very harsh usa embassy... i suggest use 'doctor' profession as introduction everywhere... people of older generation generally do not understand concept of vloggers and travelers ... best of luck
The US Ambessy do a thorough check on you even before you enter their premises .They know every little detail of you as they go though your social media . This is what I was told at the US counslate in Mumbai back in 2018. Next time if you want to apply for one do disclose all your details and try not to be nervous and also if possible try to tell everything in extreme detail cause this will make them believe your story. As it's USA they have to take ultra precaution because many Indians (10%) who go on tourist visa end up working illegally in US or try to sneak into Canada.
OK whatever you told ... It is ENTIRELY your fault for not getting the visa. Why do you think you are so oversmart all the time? Why not say you are a medical student truthfully. If you REALLY Are a medical student you shouldn't have ANY problem getting supporting documentation. Also let me tell you, a youtube earning is NOT considered to be a stable income source. Between a medical student and a youtuber... It is not rocket science who is a preferable candidate for a tourist visa. You stating first that you want to interview in Hindi which in reality does imply that you are not having good education ( wrong thinking but that's what the perception is), lack of a proper stable job or self employment ( NO UA-cam IS NOT stable self employment) and finally your unkempt look clearly provide the persona of a person who is completely at risk of going there on a tourist visa and NOT coming back. Also Hindi and Punjabi is good option for old age parents who anyways are going to show their kid's bank statements in US who will support them if needed. Young guys like yourself who choose to interview in Hindi and do not have a stable job or any roots tying them to India ( you being a MEDICAL STUDENT was THAT TIE) ARE DEFINITELY a risk. So it is NOT the US embassy's fault AT ALL. ALSO Embassies are considered to be that country's land.. so US embassy area is NOT "your desh" so your rant about standing in line "Apne hi desh mein" is ridiculous. PS: BTW your rant about not wanting to go to US AFTER your visa rejection is clearly a case of "sour grapes".
Bro you shouldn't have lied about the first question, you are still studying right? So you would have wrote it on the visa form. They just caught you lying or should I say hiding information. I know USA is over rated but they too have their rules and norms.

Some points I feel would have helped getting the visa (assuming an unbiased visa officer):
1) Language: I think the rate of selection of those giving interview in English would be higher due to first impression of being confident in English.
2) Funds: US generally requires you to have funds comfortably enough for a US trip rather than just enough. Also you mentioned that your parents will fund you "in case you have some shortage of money" might have given the impression that you are likely to fall short of money. I feel it would have been better if you had mentioned your parents are fully funding your trip (along with their bank details and relevant documents) since their salaries would be higher than you therefore giving more confidence that you have enough money. Along with that, channel income as additional income.
3) Assumptions: Although you would be using hostels, couchsurfing, airbnb or other cheap options for your stay, the visa officer assumes hotel stay price for his calculations to determine whether you have enough money. This could be the reason why the visa officer felt you wouldn't have enough money while you thought otherwise. Also the cities you mentioned are among the most expensive ones.
Totally logical points. This would have been the case.

For my USA visa interview I was asked only one question "What is the purpose of visit"....It was just 2 minutes interview.......In Chennai USA Consulate 2017.....I was lucky........Also I had a invitation letter from Apple Texas office so I think that helped a lot...moreover office financed it for me.......I have visa valid till 2026. B1/B2 visa.......
Chances of success are more from south Indian embassies than from delhi as maximum illegal staybacks are from the north.

Why we should go to USA...

That's bullshit...
Be postive and be Confident
We should always have a dream and work for its reality that one day there may be reverse brain drain and we feel and give pririoty to our own place/ country rather than sacrifice our own self esteem for sake of money.
Trust me there is nothing outside this country which we cannot achieve here.
DR. SANJAY MATTOO
Sanjay Mattoo Sir, very nicely explained.

But I think confidence and preparation is the key to cracking this interview.

you have to learn the process, the visa for tourist is based on an algorithm, at a current point of time, the only limited visa is issued. and following that based on situations. for example, if you want to attend an event, conference, marriage, etc. as you mentioned you are going for visiting and tour... it becomes nonpriority for them.
Its so evident, that he is interviewing 100 people in a stretch and you go to his face and say Uncle mjhe USA ghoomne jana haii kyo jana haii... bs avaiiiii

Sometimes it’s all on the visa officers mood, I think he was in no mood to give you the visa when you already told us he didn’t even check your passport. This means he wanted to reject you before you even started the interview.
Discretion of visa officer might be less. I bet after background check , they have made up their mind in 99% cases and in 1 % cases it's a grey area.
Don't judge your look. US visa procedure is very straightforward. They return passport immediately if found little doubt.
They only look for "Immigrant Intent" especially for young applicants. You should have a mentioned Medical Student undergoing classes. Surely, you have to then give leave approval from Medical school. The look for strong reason to return.
Bhai, no issue! ye sab chaltey rehta hai. Gumo jaha log jaate nahi, dikhao hum kisi se kam nahi!
Your vlogging gives us very good feeling, like we know you
Your answers were wrong in a lot of sense.
I agree with you!!
Same thing happened with me as well bro...back in 2016....i had to wait outside in queue for at least 1.5 hours and the interviewer asked just 2 questions - What do you do and purpose of visit....even though I had genuine invitation letter, my visa was refused.
Don't b worry brother, keep it up 🇺🇸💕👌👌
