I admire her for standing up and doing what's right. I disagree with her conservative politics, but she's a normal person deserving of respect, unlike the MAGA cultists who wanted to manipulate her.

I'm so glad that this woman of conscience just happened to be in the room for all this. Her honesty is the closest thing we're likely going to get to truth and reconciliation on the crimes against the Constitution that were committed by trump and his lackeys on January 6th.

These are very serious times indeed when a seasoned conman convinces millions of gullible voters to send him money while he breaks the Rule of Law and his Oath of Office for his own interests and not that of the citizens of the United States. At a very young age, my folks taught me right from wrong and I'm so glad they did. They also taught me to stay informed, learn about each candidate so one could make a smart decision. Trump had no platform; no foreign policy. I knew he had gone bankrupt and there were so many other red flags, it was a no-brainer, I'm so glad I voted for Clinton in 2016.
Knowing right from wrong is simple, extremely important and woefully lacking.

I consider myself a little right of center. I won't vote for Trump if he's the nominee. Having said that, I WILL NEVER VOTE DEMOCRAT. The things they stand for is so out of whack. It's pretty disturbing hearing someone who comes across as so sweet and unassuming talk wistfully about the feeling she got when she attended a Trump rally for the first time. Those events are cesspools of vitriol and cynicism and xenophobia. A young, college educated woman supporting a man of his character...yes, disturbing.
Cassidy has a trembling, anxious demeanor. You can tell she is fearful, and perhaps feels alone. But you can tell she is telling the truth. If she were dishonest, she would have never said something like “Others can corroborate anything I’ve testified to, so I’m hoping they find the courage to come forward.” That is *not* something a dishonest person would say. She also meekly but repeatedly instills her faith in the justice system. I think she is a very credible witness and I’m glad she did the right thing.

She’s 27 years old now, meaning she was 24 or so when this all took place. Put yourself in that situation and forget what you know…we were all naive at that age and perhaps a bit gullible. From the time he started campaigning, the man made perfectly clear who he is and what his values are. I'm sure there are some people who took jobs in his administration in the hope of moderating his impulses and getting some good accomplished despite his personality. But not one of them can honestly say they were surprised that he is difficult, and under qualified to a dangerous degree. "When someone shows you who they are, BELIEVE them!"

Cassidy described her experience attending her first Trump Rally: "But I was looking around and it was almost in that moment that something clicked for me. That he [Trump] was there to represent people I was accustomed to growing up around". This is a very honest and relatable admission. Cassidy Hutchinson will be included in our history as an American who represents the best aspects of our democratic system. We are free to vote with our hearts, but we are also free to exercise our own judgement and to speak the truth, if only we have the courage to do so.

Gaetz needs to be investigated. Seriously. There's something really disconcerting about the women he has his eye on, and he can work at Burger King or in an office somewhere and behave like that on his off-time, but he certainly shouldn't be representing the American public in any capacity. I want to know who has given him the clearance levels he currently has, and what information they looked at when providing him those security clearance levels.

I don't think Trump is alluring. It is the ambience of the event that makes people worship him. Similar thing happen if you are attending a concert, a giant church mass, or an MLM convention. It's the influence of the mass. That's why when you watch Trump on TV you find him repulsive. Because you can see him as he is, without the influence of the mass in your surrounding. So, credit should be given to the event organizer.

When you're in your early 20s and trying to get your career off the ground, it's easy to give someone who hires you the undeserved benefit of the doubt. She did not have to tell the truth to the committee. She dropped Trump’s attorney and got her own. She freely admits to an evolution in her thinking. She volunteered to testify in public. A lot of people didn’t. I think she did OK considering where she started from.

Great for Jimmy asking the tough question, "why work for Trump in the first place", she has been on countless shows now, and he is the first I have seen to ask this. Everyone else, basically gave her a pass on that.
She does a solid hour on Pod Save America and gets really granular about how she got there. Basically she was very "nose to the grindstone" to make it in DC and jumped from one rep to another in GOP circles, not in a craven way, but just grabbing what ever job came her way. She was a pretty young Repub, and kind of drifted right in to the center of things.

That might be true, but a lot of folks saw the behavior that led to Jan 6 before the 2016 elections. It was right there in the open. So if less people ignored that for some "other" goal, Trump, perhaps could have been avoided.
