    Some of my favorite and most used hotkeys:
    CTRL + Shift + L = Assign selected instances in the channel rack to mixer tracks at the same time
    F9 = open Mixer
    Enter = make the playlist larger / smaller
    L to switch between pattern playback and playlist playback
    Alt + X while in the piano roll to bring up the level scaling widget
    Alt + Q to bring up the quantize widget
    CTRL + Q to quick quantize to selected grid
    Bonus tip - Patcher has a great mid-side EQ preset that's great especially for those just learning what mid-side EQ is all about.

    as someone who has been using FL Studio for just over 7 years, a lot of these things come second nature, but I absolutely love the way you present information. I will be showing your channel to beginners that I am helping, your videos are so helpful, concise and satifying! Love it!

    • @aigoated
      @aigoated 7 місяців тому +1

      Mastered them my first year, these are still fairly simple, the best commands are the group ones, especially color gradient, and assigning all channels to the mix. Essential for organizing, just finding out you can select multiple things by holding control speeds up the workflow, especially when adjusting volume for selected groups. I still need to find out how to send all selected sounds to a single bus, thats the last thing i need to speed up my mixing process.

    Pro tip: for anyone who has a mouse with some extra programmable buttons, make use of them. I have two thumb buttons on my mouse, and I set them up for 'Right Shift' and 'Right Alt' respectively.
    Right Shift + Left Click = Vertical Cut in Playlist and Piano Roll.
    Right Shift + Right Click = Vertical Cut and trim smallest segment in Playlist and Piano Roll.
    Right Alt + Left Click = Mute audio clip/pattern/note in Playlist and Piano Roll.
    This allows me to do a lot of slicing and muting and stuff and never having to change from select tool to cut tool and vice versa. I don't have to move my left hand all the way to the right side of the keyboard. You can set up any keyboard key to a mouse button if you have a mouse with extra programmable buttons, so this is a great trick for anyone who wishes they could have more customizable macros/keybindings in FL. I do cutting/muting personally.

    My favorite is CTRL+B - a lifesaver. Instantly copies and duplicates your selection. CTRL+CLICK with the pencil let's you sweep select without changing tools. And you can set time at the top for selection zone!

    my fav shortcut i read a while ago was that if you select all of your unassigned instruments (BEFORE ACTUALLY STARTING TO WORK ON THE SONG, THIS COULD MESS UP YOUR MIXER ASSIGNMENTS IF YOU AREN'T CAREFUL), samples or whatever else you got on a channel rack that can be assigned to a mixer track, then selecting the first track and pressing ctrl+shift+L assigns them one by one and even colors the mixer automatically. I'm sure if i actually went and read the manual i'd learn so much but your channel has condensed what i would have learned (and much more) in years of producing and i'm very happy i found it :)
