Very useful video mainly because it explains what I suspected; that the energy ratings had a total overhaul because I cannot for the life of me find an A++ fridge freezer like the one I'm trying to replace. Thanks again.

my fridge is freezing up and i cant see the numbers on the stat what would be the setting to stop this ans still keep my food fresh

How are Hoover/Candy since they got sold to China (Haier)?
I quite liked them under Italian Candy ownership.
I have found Chinese appliances often have lightweight plastics.
I guess the best non-luxury stuff now is Zanussi/Electrolux, Liebherr, Bosch and Whirlpool (Hotpoint/Indesit).
Maybe some of the Vestels/Bekos at the top end?
Hoover are ok, the quality is not up the standard of the machines around 10 years ago.
Vestel products are not aimed at the high end in the UK it is at the starting end and Bosch Neff and Siemens are aimed at the higher end .
@@lords-electrical Thanks for your reply. I do admire how Vestel have quietly continued what they are doing for decades now. Beko was seen as a joke at first but have proven to be good. Remind me of old British brands like Thorn (nothing special but solid and dependable at a low-ish price).
I think Zanussi/Electrolux and Whirlpool should be pushed more as they used to be liked by the British and are always dependable in my experience.
But how do you adjust the freezer temp? Or is the one control changing both?
can i not uses the legs but use the foam packing as it stand firmly as i just cut the under door portion of white foam AM I OK TO DO THISE ANY SAFTY ISSUES???

Normally either compressor or thermostat that could be at fault. Unfortunately there are not many companies that repair fridge freezers apart from the manufacturers
