Thanks for the video Alexa, I've avoided getting the bb for so long though I've picked up other "dupes" once in a while. May just have to finally grab it at IMATS this year.
If you can justify almost $30 on a sponge... haha I managed to. Have you tried the Real Techniques one? I can't remember if I saw you haul that or not.
I really enjoyed this review! I have been curious about the RT version and will definitely check it out now. Thank you for doing this comparison!
Thank you, Lynette. I think it's worth a try, it works but it's a bit tougher to wash.
Very helpful.
Thanks love!
This review was awesome! So in depth p, you didn't bash the products, just really helpful!
Thank you!! :) I didn't need to bash them in this case. The RT is a pain to wash compared to the BB, though.
***** It's the age rewind concealer in neutralizer :)
I like to use the bottom of the BB for cream blush and the sides for foundation, one side of the point for concealer and the other for cream countoring. I bought mine 2 years ago and no stains. In my opinion I think is better than a brush. NO DUPES FOR ME!! Nice video😊
I tried em both but prefer the B Blender, and I love it.
By a hair... I would have to say I agree, especially when it comes to concealer or washing.
Great review. I personally think the Beauty Blender side looked better in the end and I much prefer a bouncier sponge that's easier and quicker to wash. Most dupes are as you described 'memory foamy' haha and don't bounce well on the skin and are a pain to wash.
Love them both for dif reasons for sure =D
what shade are you in the instant age rewind? great video!
Although it was such a while ago this definitely helped now that I'm finally buying into the sponge application technique! I would love to talk to you about your breakouts though if you have time to chat. xoxo
I should buy the Real Techniques sponge then, I think the beauty blender its to expensive great video Alexa! :)
LOL, Great demo and funny!
Question: are you suppose to wet the sponge before using it? if that's the case I been doing it wrong..
rawrawrbaby j. Yes! ... You absolutely need to wet and drain the beauty blender. You'll notice a crazy difference when you try it that way. Let me know when you try :)
I prefer the BB. I've tried so many "dupes" but I end up going back to the BB, lol
I'm trying a new dupe soon. I know what you mean though. There's always something a bit off about the dupes.
your so cute in this video lol. thanks for the review!
Aw thanks
love this commercial lmao so funny
I only own one beauty sponge and its from a drug store line (essence of beauty) CVS drugstore. I have been wanting a better sponge so I went to Sephora and threw the BB in my basket, but then had a change of heart and decided to skip on it. I've heard good things about the Real techniques sponge. So I will just pick that one up instead.
Let me know how it goes! I've never tried the essence of beauty one, not sure if it's accessible to me in Canada.
Did you purchase the real techniques sponge online? Or are they already available in your local drugstores?
The RT sponge was sent to me by Farleyco.ca, they carry the line and so do other websites like iherb (the price varies depending on where you live, because there's customs to consider as well). I believe Ulta carries RT in the states, if you live in Canada then you can find them at Walmart. The trouble is that I've never spotted the single brushes/sponge at Walmart. If you live in Quebec, they apparently sell single tools at the Brunette pharmacy.
Great review and comparison. I really like you. You seem young and fresh, and talented but not annoying which is a great plus lol. I like finding beauty gurus who are closer to my age but not obnoxious. How old are you? I'm 23 :)
I was 25ish back then. Thank you 😊
Just a tip= saying "this one" or "that one" doesn't help people who are just listening to the video.
Thanks. I didn't think of that, to be honest. I just signalled and assumed the video would be watch :p next time, I suppose.
Stealing Beauty I didn't have a problem knowing which one you were talking about because I was watching the video...usually you WATCH youtube videos, not just listen to them lol.
Nope. listen while working on other things.
Fair enough ;)
Beauty blender * sorry about the typo
Meh the RT sponge didn't impress me. I prefer the QUO one.
I have to try that then!
+Ellie S what does quo mean?
Quo is a brand available in Canada.
The beauty worked better in my opinion 👌👌👌👌😊😊😊
