It is possible to buy the puff with same quality for lower money like makeup sponge Puffy Bunny. In any case BB will not serve you more than other sponges. Think twice before buying BB again.
Why do people think it's weird that the RT sponge blended quicker/better? Just because something is more expensive doesn't make it better. (The beauty blender)
She only used one concealer on the RT side. She used two kinds on the Beauty Blender side. Watch it again and see. I use both sponges myself but I couldn’t help but notice she skipped a step on the right side.
I think it's because there have been so many brands (on both the expensive and "cheaper" side) that have tried to mimic the beauty blender and just missed the mark. So when there's something just as good, or even better, it's surprising (especially if the brand isn't as big or luxury because that's our world 😉). It's kind of like how Barbie was a classic and then Bratz came out and everybody was so surprised that Bratz, for a short period of time, was beating Barbie at "her own game."
Also because if something is super good, it can usually get away with a higher price tag because people will deem it "worthwhile" (I have used way too many quotes (and parentheses) in my comments). So when something is seemingly better, people are suspicious and asking why it's cheaper if it's better than the $20 one. In a market standpoint, it's sometimes better to charge more for a good product than less because people will think "Oh, it's expensive, which means that more money was put into making it. Looking at this product, I would believe that." Our world is strange... I've typed too much, I'll leave now.
Real Techniques sponge was the first sponge I ever tried. I don't think I'll ever try anything else! Thanks for this video! I was always curious to how it compares to the Beauty Blender! But was always too cheap to buy one! Haha xoxo
Ive been using a Beauty Blender for about a year or so, and I always thought the price was OUTRAGEOUS. 20 bucks for a little sponge...but I saw a Real Techniques sponge at walmart, bought it, and then found this video after the fact! I think Im converted to the Real Techniques sponge...i dont think a sponge should cost more than 5 bucks anyway, much less 20 dollars. SO glad i watched this!
Alison Seng I agree. never purchased the other one and the Real Techniques I just tried today. I am so glad I found it because I have never been able to apply makeup very well and this has saved me!
I have to disagree with you on that one, and despite what some people are saying here, you can actually really tell the difference in its performance and the durability. BB is extremely durable, lasts longer than RT, and when you calculate the costs, it would actually be cheaper in the long run to just buy the real BB. No disrespect to anyone, and I really mean that, I just don’t understand for people to be cheap just to save a few dollars by getting the generic knock off brands. I’m not just talking about BB, I’m talking about make up, brushes, or primer. I have seen people commenting on UA-cam claiming that an Elf foundation or make up brush performs as good or even outperforming the real brand like Mac or Tarte or NARS. I understand that everyone is trying to save money, or does not have the income or the extra cash to spare excessively, but sometimes you just really need to actually spend the money for them, and we need to stop lying to ourselves by saying they’re just as good or better. Then again, if you can’t, no one should stop you from buying the generic. I’m just saying that if you are using the generic brands/items, you can’t really expect or claim that they would perform just as good, or anywhere close as the real brand. Like you can’t expect a Pontiac to drive as nice as a Mercedes, or a pre-paid Android phones to perform as good as an iPhone. Or a Maybelline to give you as smooth completion as a Mac foundation or Smashbox. It’s a ridiculous expectation. But like I said, if you want to use generics, or can only afford generics, go for it. You should never give anyone the power to make you feel embarrassed or shameful for wearing generic brands. ❤️
Bianca del Taco I don’t think anything is wrong with a real techniques it works amazing and it’s not cheap either just not expensive.... I agree about foundation but with some brushes and sponges u don’t always need or want to spend $30-60 some of us have kids to feed as well and houses to pay rent for and bills coming in and it’s not realistic
Les real techniques ne tiennent pas dans le temps au bout d un mois elle se craque de partout pourtant je suis très soigneuse et je nettoie au savon solid ... donc autant acheter la vrai qui te durera des mois et des mois ....
I've never bought a beauty blender, but i have the real techniques sponge and I LOVE IT. Came here searching whether the beauty blender was actually better than the RT but seeing that they're basically the same makes me want to stick with my RT where i can buy 4 for the price one one beauty blender! Amazing video, thank you :) Ps applying powder highlight with the real techniques sponge is AMAAAZING
I've used both and tested them out over time. Original Beauty blenders last longer but it eats up a lot of products. I find it to sheer out my foundation in a more natural look. Where as the real technique one is softer, eats up less product but lasts only 2 months. It really depends up on what look you're looking for. For the price tag however, the real technique one is a steal!
i just bought the real techniques sponge today and i really wanted to see how it relates to the real techniques. this video is so helpful and i loved it. thank you so much!!!
Hey Caiti I love ur videos so much. I’ve been watching u for the longest. Your such an inspiration. Your so pretty and smart. Reach for the stars ❤️✨⭐️🌟💫
I've been using real techniques sponges for about 3 years, and I thought that they were the best thing ever. However, I recently got my first real beauty blender, and oh my goodness I'm in love with it. Since I've started using it, I've gotten SO MANY compliments on my skin/foundation. Everyone started asking if I had changed my skincare routine because they noticed that my pores looked non-existent, my wrinkles were invisible, and my makeup has just looked much better overall. That's just a personal thing, but I just thought I'd share my two cents.
I just bought the Real Techniques miracle complexion sponge and i've heard a lot about how it's a dupe but I needed proof. I love how you gave a lot of facts on both brands and actually showed comparisons. great video, definitely subscribing!
I had been buying the Real Techniques sponge for a while and they would always damage and rip easier and had to get another one every month,so I finally bought the Beauty Blender and I've had it for a long while and to be honest they both work pretty much the same
I barely use the BB so I bought the RT sponge and I compared them also. I feel like the RT one is a lot softer in my opinion. I love it! It's a lot more affordable also.
I feel like the real techniques sponge gave a higher coverage and didn't pick up as much product as well, this video only made me want it even more! Haha
Hi! I bought one 2 days ago, but I haven't use it yet cause I haven't been wearing any makeup. Should I use it wet or dry? I have oily skin, so my foundations are all with a matte finish. Thanks.
i absolutely love this video! it is no joke the ONLY truthful video about it on here. all the other people would say oh yes this is good but my beauty blender is just better without a reasonable excuse! so truthful and this is the first video i am watching from you and you just got another subscriber!! xx
Great comparison! Great results at different price points. I love your natural makeup look and would love to see a video showing how to achieve such a beautiful and flawless natural look!
My first experience with a beauty blender was an offer on the RT 2-pack which I picked up by chance, never even having heard of beauty blenders before; but as my skin tends to get very dry, I thought the addition of moisture in the application step would help. I threw out all of my brushes after my second try, as it was quite revolutionary for my routine. Later I read about the original BB and got curious whether it would actually be even more superior, as everyone was suddenly raving about it, so I had to try splurging on one just to be sure. Although I don't dislike the original BB, I don't think it is in any way superior, and I've realized that I keep reaching for my RT to smooth everything out in the end even when using the BB - thus my conclusion is that, for my skin at the very least, the RT actually works much better for that airbrushed look. I still use the BB pro for applying my concealer, although as mentioned, I always go over with the RT as a final step, so it's doubtful that I'll be replacing the BB once it's no longer useable (on the plus side, the BB does seem to last a little longer, although not enough to compensate for the price tag, in my opinion)
Thank you. I just bought thr Real Technique beauty sponge and am looking up videos to help me. This is my first video and it was helpful because I didn't even know it needed to be dampened so thanks! Btw both sides look great! I appreciate your honesty.
I just purchased the Real Techniques sponge today, one for $5.99 at K-Mart. And now I am watching this wonderful video! I was looking at all kinds of sponges on Amazon and could not decide. I have never tried the Beauty Blender original. I think I made a good choice!
Yes, to me there is no reason to purchase the beauty blender. Save your money & buy real techniques. The flat side works perfectly on the sides of your nose and to get in those pesky nostril creases. Its perfect.
Brittany Renee gonna go get mine tomorrow then because I have problems with my nose creases and it is soooo annoying I just wanna wipe off my makeup and not do it and then I waste more foundation because of it so yep gonna go get it
To me the real techniques side looks well blended and like you did put some concealer but the beauty blender looks like how you were in the beginning of the video, but that's just me
I really like the Sephora air brush sponge(?) I'm not positive what it's exactly called but it's the purple hour glass shaped one that came in the Play! Box. I like it way more than my beauty blender
you have one blue and one brown eye!! sooo awesome!! love it! ps. I think we have come to an end looking for a dupe for the Beauty Blender. Real Techniques sponge is it!!
the real techniques sponge is so legit. I bought the beauty blender & loved it. but then I became super curious about the real techniques sponge-fell in love! the real techniques one is so much more user friendly because of the shape. much cheaper & much bouncier!
Hi, do you have hooded eyes too? Cuz I have hooded eyes and sometimes it's hard for me to do my eye makeup but I really love your eye makeup! Hoping you can do more eye makeup tutorials!
I have both. I initially bought the RT one because I think the price for BB is ridiculous! 20 euro for a sponge? Seriously??? But I bought one during the Black Friday sale a few months ago and out of curiosity. So, I could compare. The RT is indeed slightly more dense once you squeeze (very slightly), but on the face it is super soft and while it is or feels heavier and the texture feels a bit different on the face, in the end it is just as soft and comfortable. Like a sponge it slurps up more product than brushes, but in comparison the RT takes up way less than the BB. I love it also has a flat edge: ideal for foundation or baking the sides of your face. And you still have the point for small places and the round one for blending. The end result is better on my textured skin than with the BB. I have one new one left (I bought a pack of 2 back then), but already got a new RT sponge for after. Lately the drugstore is coming for high end. I have better performing mascaras, eyeshadow, lipstick, highlighter and foundation from the drugstore when compared to their high end counterparts. Yes, there's plenty crap too. People who want to earn a fast buck. But in the case of RT their sponge is truly great. The fact I can buy several for the price of one single beauty blender is reason enough to never ever look back! (I am curious about that velvet June & Co sponge now. Apparently that is supposed to be just as good, but without taking all the product).
I have used both. I think the Real Tech beauty blender is almost an exact dupe for the original beauty blender. We don't have places where I live that sell the original blender so I looked for years for a dupe. I have to order online or drive to Wichita. The RT blender is amazing!
I love use the makeup sponge. I clean this but have nothing to hold it, still I have this tool-makeup sponge holder. And I never worry about my makeup sponge will growth of bacteria that cause my skin problem. I love this little thing. It is cute and functional. It also helps me keep things clean! You can search this “Sunmore Blender Drying Rack” and try this beauty holder.
I've been tempted to try some of the knock offs, especially the real techniques' one- because I LOVE several of their brushes. I just haven't taken the plunge bc the BB works SOOOO damn well, that I am scared to be let down haha. And this may just be me or my monitor, but in my opinion, the side you used the BB on looks better than the other side. It looks more blended to me.
I started with the BB bought the RT sponge last month at ultra during the sale they have going on again now and I prefer the RT sponge now. I always use the flat side and I also think it feels way softer and smooth. BB is nice but the RT is worth more than its price tag if not the same price as the BB.
This is the first video of yours that I've seen, and you did a GREAT job! I've long been curious about a comparison between these two sponges. Do you think you could use either of these sponges to apply Bare Minerals loose foundation? Ahead of time, I thank you for the time that you spent making the video, and for sharing your thoughts. I look forward to checking out more of your videos! :-)
I love the real techniques one for applying makeup, but the first time I cleaned mine it crumbled in tiny little pieces. For comparison, I have had the same beauty blender for a year and have cleaned many, many times since then and it never crumbled.
Thanks for the review I'm new to the beauty blender and I got freaked out bcuz the store i went to only had the real techniques I'm so happy i came across your video. :)
I have used both the beauty blender sponge and the real technique miracle sponge And i found a difference in the blending of these two I loved the real technique sponge worked on my face. Pretty smooth and blends quickly. So i am on the real technique miracle sponge's side. Its just my personal opinion.
Omg you're so beautiful and super cute. You literally could be a real life Disney Princess. God bless you with your beauty xx Loved this video btw, I learnt a lot
After trying the one for ebay, i was like "is this what the girls are raving over?" it was so solid that the concealer didn't spread evenly. I thought i was doing it wrong. Thanks for this. I'm going to try the real one
I just found this video. I have both the beauty blender and real technique sponge. Love them both and they work great. But now I'm strictly real technique because my Eyeshadow pallette obsession so yes saving for those are priorities haha. Thanks for your review and your eyes are gorgeous!!!!
you are so assume and very fun to watch and this is my favourite video and I enjoy watching it and I can't wait to see your next video and I have a real technique beauty blender and I love it and I like to see a makeup tutorial or a get ready with me and a shopping haul and keep up the wonderful work on your videos
What are you supposed to use a beauty blender for foundation, concealer, eyeshadow. And when should you wet it for what use? Is it only for wet products or can you use it for powder?
you are so cute! this video was very informative, thank you! I have used the beauty blender for quite some time now, and was always skeptical about trying other dupes, even the real techniques one. But after your video, I am going to snag the RT blenders because I dont see the need to pay $20+ for one, when I can get 2 for half the price for something that works even better. wooooot a win win for everybody! well except not for the beauty blender business ;)
It is possible to buy the puff with same quality for lower money like makeup sponge Puffy Bunny. In any case BB will not serve you more than other sponges. Think twice before buying BB again.

Btw I’m on my dads acct so don’t think I’m some old creep I’m actually 13 lol
I've been using real techniques sponges for about 3 years, and I thought that they were the best thing ever. I thought you already have make up on your face at first. 😩😩 you're so flawless
Aww thank you!!
...but you do have makeup on... you're just only showing/listing one... unless you put concealer and lips on first...
HoshiStar13 I wore a full face of makeup in the video, I just added the concealer 😊
Its because she had a full face on and put more on top of it
She does she has a full face
her eyes are different colors 😍
I thought tgat too!! Thats really cool
I didn't notice till you mentioned it. Pretty
It would have taken me some time to see that. Thanks for pointing that out. So cool!
I know!!! It's so pretty!
Hetrochromia.
Girl, you don't need any foundation or concealer. Your skin is flawless.
Loved your comparison, btw.
Thank you!
I love how thorough you were girl! You're helping out soooooo many new MUA's! ❤️
I really enjoyed this video, I think you did a great job at comparing the two different beauty sponges! You made me want to give the RT one a try :)
Thank you!

Sapharrie I do feel like the Original Beauty Blender lasts a little longer... but I agree they are very similar!
@@MadisonKate o
My issue is that RT one rips ans damages faster. I almost feel like buying the beauty blender and checking it out!
I barely use the BB so I bought the RT sponge and I compared them also. I feel like the RT one is a lot softer in my opinion. I love it! It's a lot more affordable also.
How come I 've never heard of you before? I'm glad I did now, your videos are awesome!
Thank you!
Omg i totally thought you had foundation on in the beginning, your skin is goals. 😍
She did... she said she put foundation on with a brush that's why she didn't should application of foundation with the beauty blender
I'm so glad that someone came out with something so comparative to the beauty blender. It's provides a great affordable alternative :)
i just bought the rt sponge and the comments are good, i’m excited to try it now 😄
I love my real techniques sponge and because of the price I'm able to replace it more often
I feel like the real techniques sponge gave a higher coverage and didn't pick up as much product as well, this video only made me want it even more! Haha
I just bought the real techniques sponge today. I can't wait to try it :)
was it good?
+Luv Unicorns yeah it works really well! I'll probably never buy a beauty blender again.
+maestro22121 ikr
Hi! I bought one 2 days ago, but I haven't use it yet cause I haven't been wearing any makeup. Should I use it wet or dry? I have oily skin, so my foundations are all with a matte finish. Thanks.
+StrawberryBlond21 its amazing
Am i tripping or are her eyes different colors? if so if looks awsome
Omg you're right! They do look amazing
Lisa1313 I know right!!'
Lisa1313 Oh yeah.. cool
i absolutely love this video! it is no joke the ONLY truthful video about it on here. all the other people would say oh yes this is good but my beauty blender is just better without a reasonable excuse! so truthful and this is the first video i am watching from you and you just got another subscriber!! xx
Omg your hair is perfection
absolutely love your hair color! it's gorgeousssss
Thank you!
I seriously love the RT ones! I switch back and forth from my BB and RT but I definitely love the cheaper alternative!
I love the real techniques one, it literally photoshops your face hehehe
KimchiTaco use the word literally carefully my child.
QueenLuna
damn calm down
KimchiTaco i was using it ironically don't attack meee
QueenLuna
lol dafuq
Should it be used damp? When dry, the RT sucks too much of the foundation.
Just bought the real techniques sponge today and I'm really excited to test it out!
this is the first video I've watched from her channel and I am in love with #1: the review #2 her eyes!! They're so pretty 😍
Awww thank you!!
Amazing thoroughness!!! Thank you for being so meticulous, precise...all in all- couldn't pick more informative video on this topic!
Great comparison! Great results at different price points.
I love your natural makeup look and would love to see a video showing how to achieve such a beautiful and flawless natural look!

your skin is flawless, so beautiful !
Thank you. I just bought thr Real Technique beauty sponge and am looking up videos to help me. This is my first video and it was helpful because I didn't even know it needed to be dampened so thanks! Btw both sides look great! I appreciate your honesty.
Your skin literally looks flawless 💖💖💖 and I loved your review! Subscribed!
I just purchased the Real Techniques sponge today, one for $5.99 at K-Mart. And now I am watching this wonderful video! I was looking at all kinds of sponges on Amazon and could not decide. I have never tried the Beauty Blender original. I think I made a good choice!

I totally love your review. You're so honest and I love your makeup here , gorgeous as always love you ☺️
+Yessica vega Aww thank you so much!
I’m jealous of your eyes they’re gorgeous!!!
To me the real techniques side looks well blended and like you did put some concealer but the beauty blender looks like how you were in the beginning of the video, but that's just me
Very Nice! I use the Real Techniques brushes but never really learned how to use the sponges. This was exceedingly helpful! Thank you!
I just got the real techniques one, never used one before. I love it, I really enjoy putting my makeup on in the morning with this thing.
I think this was the best review and I have watched quite a few! Well done, your beautiful x
Thank you so much!
your skin is so flawless!!!! you don't even need foundation!! 😭😭😱😍😍

(I am curious about that velvet June & Co sponge now. Apparently that is supposed to be just as good, but without taking all the product).
Really useful comparison, thank you. By the way, I love your eyes!
Firstly u did amazing makeup .. And for the first time I saw some review so well explained and accurate .. :) u did a great job in the video :*
Jojo is that u?
?
n a i l u p d a t e s the singer
I have used both. I think the Real Tech beauty blender is almost an exact dupe for the original beauty blender. We don't have places where I live that sell the original blender so I looked for years for a dupe. I have to order online or drive to Wichita. The RT blender is amazing!
Her make up is so flawless 😍
This is a really awesome review! I love your videos and totally trust your opinion ☺️
Aww thank you!!
+Madison Kate i love you
+Andrea Concepción 😘
+Madison Kate love u I wish I was u
I love use the makeup sponge. I clean this but have nothing to hold it, still I have this tool-makeup sponge holder. And I never worry about my makeup sponge will growth of bacteria that cause my skin problem. I love this little thing. It is cute and functional. It also helps me keep things clean! You can search this “Sunmore Blender Drying Rack” and try this beauty holder.
People are so mean... I love this review, thank you! I love your voice too! Let people hate beautiful!!!
Aww thank youuuu!!!
You're welcome!
Great review Madison! Your gorgeous! Love your makeup btw💜👌🏼
I'd love to try out the original beauty blender and the real techniques sponge! Love your opinion and you speak so fast!
Loved this video!!!! First time watching you! And I think you're just the sweetest !
great video btw Just bought the orange sponge today!!!
I love your channel and I think you should do a everyday makeup tutorial!
In love with your hair
How did you do it
In the U.K. the RT sponge is £6.59 from Boots or Superdrug
i just bought the beauty blender! i was going to pick up the real techniques one but i got three beauty blenders and a cleanser for $42 on sephora!
I'm so glad I stumbled upon your chanenel, your videos are very descriptive and you're adorable!
Aww thank you!!!
Your eyes are so pretty!
I have used both the beauty blender sponge and the real technique miracle sponge
And i found a difference in the blending of these two
I loved the real technique sponge worked on my face. Pretty smooth and blends quickly.
So i am on the real technique miracle sponge's side.
Its just my personal opinion.
Omg you're so beautiful and super cute. You literally could be a real life Disney Princess. God bless you with your beauty xx Loved this video btw, I learnt a lot
you deserve so many more subscribers!
Thank you so much!!
After trying the one for ebay, i was like "is this what the girls are raving over?" it was so solid that the concealer didn't spread evenly. I thought i was doing it wrong. Thanks for this. I'm going to try the real one
eBay is loaded with fakes, maybe one from a store would be better?
Am I the only one that noticed when she put two concealers under one eye and only on concealer under the other eye??? Btw your eyes are pretty
Gracie Lou Who I was also thinking same ..that's why she took more time with bb
I also noticed and was wondering if anyone else saw too lol
@@truth.is.freedom8686 i was thinking about that too 🤔
I love your eye makeup!
Fio thank you!!
I just found this video. I have both the beauty blender and real technique sponge. Love them both and they work great. But now I'm strictly real technique because my Eyeshadow pallette obsession so yes saving for those are priorities haha. Thanks for your review and your eyes are gorgeous!!!!
Helpful review and I'm sure you're sick of hearing this but your eyes are beautiful! 😍
Thanks so much for the comparison video, I really enjoyed... I am ordering the Real Techniques sponge right now!!!!
I'm new to this channel and this was the first video but by the first 15 seconds I loved you btw your so beautiful
You seem so nice and kind! Ily❤️😍
I've used both and I definitely love the Real Techniques one more! I do think it blends better and faster then the Beauty Blender. ☺️
Omg I just noticed your eyes are different colouer, that's looks so beautiful on you 💕
you are so assume and very fun to watch and this is my favourite video and I enjoy watching it and I can't wait to see your next video and I have a real technique beauty blender and I love it and I like to see a makeup tutorial or a get ready with me and a shopping haul and keep up the wonderful work on your videos
one of your eyes is green and the other is brown !! i love it !!
+Abbey Johnson Thank you!
your welcome !!
But after your video, I am going to snag the RT blenders because I dont see the need to pay $20+ for one, when I can get 2 for half the price for something that works even better.
wooooot a win win for everybody! well except not for the beauty blender business ;)
love your videos and definitely will have to try this out!
Thanks!
