- My MIP screen orientation settings are holding for now...Fingers Crossed!
For those of you still having this problem, watch through this video, take some notes and try the procedures I did to let us know if it fixes it for you. I did use HIBERNATE option for about two days and that might have conditioned windows to keep the saved settings which was always checked anyway, but wasn't keeping during a restart or full shutdown.
Also, please check your Control Panel, Installed Applications list and see if you have multiple versions or the incorrect version of SimAppPro installed. Leave a comment to let us know.
@WINWING-SIMULATOR is working on fixing this issue with their SimAppPro software so that it automatically removes old copies of the utility with updates. We've seen this with other companies, so it's not new and just a growing pain, so to speak!

This is an intense UA-cam channel. You probably won’t like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to be able to appreciate content of this quality and depth. We would suggest that you stick to safer and more familiar territory-maybe something with a video-gamer approach aimed at convincing you that dogfighting is all that matters or one that implies that their videos are "must see" and you need to subscribe/whatever-the-hell will give you more sex appeal. Perhaps you think this channel makes all their crap look better. Perhaps you’re even mouthing your words as you read this.

Nice work Juice! Looks like a great setup and something I’m working towards in the next 12 months or so.
Nice setup, Juice! I currently have the Viper mip setup. Winning has not let me down yet. Your setup is very inspiring. Thanks!
Great to hear! WINWING set me up with this to help demonstrate how their products can integrate into a set up such as this. I'm working on a constellation video around the star pattern. Orion and my Orion constellation consist of three of their Orion products. I hope you enjoy it. Stay tuned.
Great video Juice, thanks.
Thank you, JP for your input as well! I believe your content online is underappreciated.
@@AIRWARFAREGROUP Is what it is, juice, I get to make new friends and have a hobby that gets to help some others.
Connections
Thanks Juice. I will try that as soon as I get back home from vacation. One thing I am used to do (when shutting down the computer) is turning off the usb hub where all the MIP is plugged in. Maybe that is also not helping and I should stop doing that also. The other issue I have (I think) is that I have two monitors connected to the computer and I use one or the other depending if I am flying or working. I might be making windows a bit crazy with all this. Anyhow, great video and thanks a lot.
Let us know if you have multiple SimAppPro versions installed.
@@AIRWARFAREGROUPHi Juice, I have now been able to deal with this. Indeed I had two versions of Simapppro installed. I deleted all and installed again the most up to date. I followed all steps in this video and the ones you indicated. However, orientation does noy stay after full shutdown or reboot. I will keep trying to find what is wrong. I think the problem is in related to having all MIP screens connected to the same usb hub. Thanks a lot fo your help!!!
Outstanding!!
I hoped that I wasn't going to jinx myself, but I just shut down the computer for a couple hours went back to it and it still works. I'm hoping my luck stays.
I don't have the top Gun yet and that will be next or the moza. Not sure. The top Gun setup is a must, not just as a time saving implementation, but it gives you direct control as you're in flight. Let's say you're running low terrain evading you can swiftly set up your harpoons or whatever shorty mention that you're in in just a few seconds rather than trying to do everything with a doggone mouse. I do have Windows 11. I appreciate the heads up. As usual, thank you so much for your tutorial. I surely will pass this on to my squadron. God bless 🕊️
If you fly VR I recommend the button frames but not the screen. How is the MOZA with DCS? They get the problems worked out??
@@AIRWARFAREGROUP No brother, I'm totally IR. In 91 I took a few rounds in my left shoulder extracting 3 and Marines & 2 army with a translator. So I have no feeling on my left shoulder down to my left hand. I tried the VR and it's just muscle memory to an unfamiliar WW throttle base not to mention the Apache collective and grip. I'd have to go totally with the top Gun. I really appreciate your reply and your tutorial. Little patience and your journey will take off exponentially so. Thank you brother and God bless 🕊️
@@AIRWARFAREGROUP it should have said Top Gun or The Moza, talk text sucks. I need to proof reed before I send it . sorry.
My voice to text skills suck. I'm always happy to clarify things with my wife 😉 take care, bud!

Juice have you had an issues with the brightness on your DDI’s yet. I had to put a UI mask on and use reshade. There’s a guy with a video about it on UA-cam. Game changer if you’re having that issue.
Yes, everyone has due to the DCS code that doesn't make the screens HDR and it is being worked on by ED. There are some solutions with RESHADE but it's not a solution, just a workaround. ua-cam.com/video/_DsDzNAOYfo/v-deo.htmlsi=Tcyv7msta3umXW2k
Good morning Juice, quick question because I have this exact issue and have been fighting trying to fix it.
Going to try and check what you're mentioning, but quick question, do I need to rebind or resetup my WinWing peripherals?
Negative, mine saved all the settings in DCS and in SimAppPro. Not to say that it will be the same for everyone. I recommend you uninstall any versions of SAP in the control panel utility and reinstall from the WW website download link. Set the screens, test in DCS and then use Hibernate to put your PC to rest for a few days. In the video, pause it at the Windows Display Settings part and check your settings. Let me know how it comes out. J
Separate question (and if answered in a previous post could you please direct me there) what was the total cost of the sim base using the extruded aluminum? the overall setup looks very slick
$0.00 it cost me nothing as WINWING provided it for me to demonstrate their products and test their new force feedback line when it comes out. One of our followers is going to get with me later and we're going to computer assisted design this seat, rig, and all the parts list and then will give you some comparisons online as it will cost you differently, depending on where you get your metal from.
@AIRWARFAREGROUP thank you for the response! There are many creative ways at making a sim pit
Currently, I have the left screen connected and it shows me the left display, but the buttons work as on the lower display. What is it about?
Sounds like you'll have to switch displays in simapppro settings. Start at 5:00 in this video here. ua-cam.com/video/wRqMKoABCPQ/v-deo.htmlsi=F3K3Ly7JWq2EEBnc
so does this follow up with why my display id's arnt popping up?
Partially, most of the times it's because the MFD screen isn't exactly a square on windows. The screens are skewed to the side. The key thing I found out is when you orient the screens and windows first to portrait, you have to restart the computer then to get it to stay. It's most likely a windows limitation. Once I did that then I just orient them how I wanted them and then ran the WINWING SimAppPro software. One of the things that all of us are trying to get WW to do is to make it so that you don't have to exit out DCS and change which aircraft you're flying in the software before the MFD will work. Needless to say it's complicated at this time but once you figure it out, it becomes second nature.
@@AIRWARFAREGROUP thanks man

@@AIRWARFAREGROUP hate to bother you again, but do you possibly know anything about a pink status indicator light on the back of the displays?
Not a problem, I have the question out to WINWING now...will reply again here when I have an answer. ~J
