  • “Be OK with doing a crappy job” is something that has helped me for many years when it comes to not feeling confident on taking action.
When applied, this mentality helps us move past procrastination caused by perfection and fear of judgment. This mentality supports taking consistent action, because you are already OK with the worst case scenario, therefore, fear does not get in the way of you fully showing up in life via @mikechangofficial

No way😅 you said the truth. Alhamdulillah. I try this for jiu-jitsu. It's ok to not do so good. No pressure. Thanks. It's so funny yet true.

Crap. Ive spent the last month trying to 'perfect' this one aspect of a project, when i could have probably finished the whole thing twice by now, and learned twice as much in the process!

The video the other day about just moving a little bit every day, doing healthy things for just a few seconds every day. And now, this, a solution I’ve been thinking about to try to get in motion…
Think I need to subscribe, for these reminders of what I should be doing and keep not doing. Thanks!

Make a plan good enough to start massive action. Go, learn on the way, make mistakes, go.

This is actually true. No one's perfect. Start at the bottom and improve from there.
The only problem is improvement pean performance varies from person to person.

Truth! Doing it is best. Minimum viable start. Improve from there. Learn by doing.
If a product, put the prototype product out there and learn the reaction and improve it.

It's crazy! My fear of doing a crappy job, which is all ego anyways, is preventing me from doing anything! What?! 🤯

Accept that EVERYONE is bad in the beginning. Don’t take it personally & keep doing it. You will inevitably get better if u JUST KEEP DOING IT.
    Trust the process ❤

It's been called the Persian Rug Concept. It seems the Persians believed that only God was perfect, so they incorporated a defect on purpose in the rugs they made so as not to offend God. Every woodworking project I do has a Persian Rug defect, though never on purpose. LOL I've learned to accept this concept and live in peace.

But Mikey there’s too many philosophies about and improvements to productivity already, like “there’s no improvement without pain” or “think about doing the task for 5mins and you’ll want to keep going” or even Mr Petersons 12 rules. Do people hope things will fall into place once they get the ball rolling? Where does anyone want to end up anyway?
