I would like to know what the little spout just below the valve cover. Is it suppose to have a solid bolt or what because it throws oil out of the motor and the drain plug is just beneath this
I just got a 71 suburban 12...the engine looks exactly like this one in the video..the guy told me it was a briggs...how can I be certain what it is ?...there are no data tags on it..I think a briggs has the exhaust on the same end as the carb...my engine has the exhaust on the side parallel to the crankshaft....it hasn't been run in years...it's not stuck so there's hope that it will run...I learn a lot from your videos...thanks .
They put briggs on suburban 14 and 15s. If it is original motor on a 12, it's a tec. If it is just like mine, it's a tec. I'm not in front of my computer right now, do you have a vid up? I could tell you exactly what you got but if original, and a 10, 12 or 16 non twin, it's a tec
When a screw goes into the top of the chamber most of the time it will wedge under a valve and bend it.

My HH120 smokes and runs rough. I have a new carb that I will put on it this Saturday. SS-12 1969
