“I have never wished that I was like any other woman except for Hazrat Saudahra. I would like to have her simple and unpretentious ways and I wish I could be like her and that I could have a heart as pure and clean as hers and her simple ways.” (Hazrat Aisha(r.a)
To me she's more beautiful than today's miss worlds or miss universes. Dark skin isn't ugly, tall built isn't ugly. The fact that she was confident in her appearance gives inspiration to me. Confidence and contentment are the keys. Allah SWT made us beautiful in unique ways.
Dark skin is beautiful. All skin colors are beautiful in their own ways. In some cultures being tall and heavy built is actually seen more beautiful than the opposite, even for women. Every society/ culture has its own ways of defining beauty.
@alhamdouwachoukroulilah6333 Her dark skin was more than likely was a factor that made her deemed ugly in Arab society before Islam because that's constantly mentioned when it comes to that society, even to the point of lack of respect for dark complexioned fellow Arabs. So, by society's "beauty" standards she was deemed ugly unfortunately and her complexion did factor into the understanding of whether she was beautiful.
This is so stunningly true. In this life, there will always be someone better, richer, prettier etc. If you keep comparing, you will never be content or happy. She was a wise wise lady, MasyaAllah.

I don't think it was her dark skin that made her not beautiful but more like her face or body shape. Allahu 3arlem
I Didn't see dark skin as in her color but more like uneven skin tone
@alhamdouwachoukroulilah6333 Her dark skin was more than likely was a factor that made her deemed ugly in Arab society before Islam because that's constantly mentioned when it comes to that society, even to the point of lack of respect for dark complexioned fellow Arabs. Dark skin is beautiful and unique. The fact that she had all the uniqueness is what’s fascinating.
