I keep hearing that during his WWF run he used his original "Space Odyssey" theme but it was dubbed over with this theme. In Ric Flair "The Definitive Collection" DVD, there's an Audio Clip of Sean Mooney talking about flair with his ORIGINAL theme in the background. Any ideas?
This Ric Flair theme on this video was Ric Flair's theme in WWF Steel Cage Challenge (1992-1993 videogame that was released on the Sega GameGear, Sega Master System and the Nintendo NES though Flair on the Sega versions of that game) so the theme has been used for Ric Flair (ua-cam.com/video/I-GbEnayr_g/v-deo.htmlm45s) in some form. Ric Flair was also in WWF Royal Rumble videogame (ua-cam.com/video/aSmyGpsqAbM/v-deo.htmlm2s) that was released in 1993 and he was exclusive to the SNES version of the game and the same theme was used in that game too. Ric Flair also had the theme in 2K16 (ua-cam.com/video/0xaAQooyJTA/v-deo.html).

I know that. Your original comment I was responding to seemed to suggest it was only ever used to dub over DVDs, but I remembered him using this full-time from that era. What's with the name-calling? What I find odd about this theme is how from what little bit I recall of Flair using this in '02, is he'd had the "WHOOOO!!!!!" intro on it when he used it. It's even more out of place because he had used Dawn from ASZ when he returned to WWE and in Shut Your Mouth, so why did they abruptly flip to this? I love this theme, one of my favorites of these copyright based necessities (albeit repetitive), but it seemed unnecessary in 2002 (made sense in 90s when he jumped ship).

"The Real World Champion"!! I remember going to a house show tv taping at the Capitol Centre in Maryland. Macho Man was still billed the champion, but when the show started an announcer came out and said " we had a title change a couple a days ago! And here is the new champion and this music started playing! I damn near lost my voice!!

Buddy Landel used this for his brief WWF 1995 run.

I have a VHS of Saturday Night's Main Event from 1992 and this is what he used. Not sure about live events but he was definitely using this on anything that aired on tape.
Happy 70th birthday to him

+mrwrestlingtape1 Is this remixed from his wcw Theme
+Godislove victory This is the theme he actually used in the World Wrestling Federation from 1991 to 1993. It is very cool. He might have used it for a match or two in the early 2000's WWF as well.

I still remember the vignette with him sitting at a cafe table reading a newspaper and the WCW title on the table. He puts the paper down and cuts his promo. As a little kid, that was so great to me.

I know that. Your original comment I was responding to seemed to suggest it was only ever used to dub over DVDs, but I remembered him using this full-time from that era. What's with the name-calling? We're talking about a 22-year old theme song for a professional wrestler. Really nothing to get worked up about.
Much better than his WCW theme

If this had the wooo in it it would of been 11/10 but it still has a pretty descent score of 10/10

This theme real emphasizes the showmanship of a Ric Flair entrance. Its a declaration of "Look at me! I'm THE Best and you can't do a thing about it."

According to my pro wrestling knowledge, pro wrestling memory, video game knowledge & iPod, the album for this theme is 'WWE SmackDown! VS. RAW' for the PlayStation-2, if nothing else.

Did he use this in 2004 at any time? This theme is used in the first Smackdown VS Raw game for Flair..
Yes he did... A few times in 2002 as well in 2004 on the taboo Tuesday ppv vs Orton
RandomHelpingGuy I know they did use this theme for him dubbing it over his regular music on the DVDs for some PPVs in 2002 for sure. They may have done it on other PPV DVDs for other years. Not completely sure though.
Thank you, both of you.
I knew somebody would say this is from SmackDown vs Raw

What I find odd about this theme is how from what little bit I recall of Flair using this in '02, is he'd had the "WHOOOO!!!!!" intro on it when he used it. It's even more out of place because he had used Dawn from ASZ when he returned to WWE and in Shut Your Mouth, so why did they abruptly flip to this? I love this theme, one of my favorites of these copyright based necessities (albeit repetitive), but it seemed unnecessary in 2002 (made sense in 90s when he jumped ship).

This is Ric Flair's theme from the first 'WWE SmackDown! VS. RAW' game that came out in Late-2004, I think.; What album did this theme actually come off of, if any?
#PrayersForFlair
I never understood why they had to remake this
The WWE didn't have the rights to Also Sprach Zarathrustra at the time so Jim Johnston had to compose a theme for Ric similar to ASZ.
but this theme was much better and i mean something to this theme, and the best ever of flair's theme it should have being in the WCW
It’s an evil knock off
@@K.J.S.est1994 Pretty sure Also Spach Zarathrustra is in the public domain....

I love this theme
I was watching Summerslam 2002 on the WWE Network and during his entrance it's obvious they dubbed his older theme over his newer theme he had at the time. I'm confused why they would do that.

I have no idea why they did that either but its a good edit to use some cool old school footage.

I think it's quite sureal to think of that 1992 ric flair. He was 42, when he won his 1st wwe championship. Compare that to the 2017 chris jericho, who is already 46 today. Ric flair always looked much older than he was, haha

His most epic theme song!
If you watch Backlash 2004 on the network, this is dubbed over his entrance
He used it a bit in 2006 also
