I didnt realize Asia and Leiomy were such close sisters. I always assumed they were just girlfriends from afar. Asia spoke so much truth about what Leiomy brought to the table. She is a pioneer who has PERSEVERED through so much.

As a cisgendered black woman I'm obsessed with Leiomy! She’s just so.....everything 😍 and her beauty radiates from inside and outside💜💜 All these ladies are jaw dropping beauties!

Leiomy taught a whole generation how to Vogue. I remember when I was 14 (2006) and going to hmi and the pier and all I wanted to do was meet Leiomy. And I did once at hmi she is a lovely person. And she is inspirational. Even tho I didn’t go into ballroom I always support the community and was able to be myself in the world because of so many representations in ballroom.

I love the podcast. I would love seeing Sinia, Sexy Lexy, Tamiyah, Kevin JZ, Courtney Balenciaga, Hurricane Katrina, Kelly Miza, Mercedes, DeeDee, Niambi, Deshaun, Erika Cane, and Jack Miza.
It’s an honor to have had a personal interaction with 3/4 of these ladies and a personal relationship with 2/4.

I wish Asia would double down on her points and not let Tempress and Tab talk over her. Stand up girl! YOU SAID WHAT YOU SAID! Staying in the same place, repeating the same cycles of abuse, poverty, and ignorance, and not growing is a CHOICE.
There’s a difference between “staying in the same place” and not having many options. There’s a difference between equal opportunity and equal outcome. I believe the ladies all raised valid points, I just don’t agree with saying it’s a “choice”. A black person with a felony can apply for a job but 9/10 he won’t get that job. However, here we are in 2024 where a white man with 34 convictions (felony) can potentially run for presidency-now tell me if the same narrative can be applied to a black man?
I don’t think it’s Tempress or Tab, I think Asia stops because she’s not confident in everything she says sometimes. I’ve been there. When you hear how other people can articulate and navigate through conversations so well it can come off intimidating to the point you start to overthink, stutter, and then shut down. I think they have a comfortable environment for her not to feel like her opinions are not being heard.

You can't blame an entire community as if we just created those systems of poverty. Black people are not merely choosing a cycle especially since the cycle of poverty wasn't even started by us. Yes there are going to be black people that make it out of the hood however collective poverty cannot be explained away by individual examples it's way more than "we aren't trying hard enough." This is a system that is created by design.
Okay I knew it would be funny and entertaining but…
Race relations, identity politics, GLOBAL politics, business ideas, nuance and grace for psychological trauma as it relates to the state of the Black community?…yall are THINKING AND LEADING.
It felt like what goes on in my head while I watch the news. 🤣 Each one had a perspective that made me agree, disagree, and think. I wasn’t ready but that’s my fault. Subscribed.

I think the show should allow Tabitha To do an exclusive interview show where she sets down one on one with girls like Leiomy With there surge . And exclusively talk about that experience what's it's like now verses then..And just speak in detail about SRS.. Because sometimes I feel Tabitha not able to be Tabitha fully on Fq CSC..
This was a great interview! I love how real Leiomy keeps it. She really don’t know how much of an impact she has had even for the girls who are not in ballroom. I remember watching her on ABDC I was 15, being so mesmerized by her as an individual and as a talent. I’m from Texas at that tender time some of us didn’t have the actual language and understanding of what being a trans person meant. It was a different time back them. I grew up always thinking or seeing trans people in those spaces being mocked and them seeming to be comfortable with it. I saw her stand in her womanhood even in that time period when it was completely different world. She has left a stain on my brain and I have watched her via UA-cam and ig. I will always have a love and respect for her. 🩷 keep being the shining star you are queen

If it were not for Leiomy, I would have not been such a fan of ballroom before it became a sensation. I was so obsessed with her talent even to this day and she does deserve all the flowers in world because she is the main one that everyone wants to be. Yet another interview that I loved. Leyomi is a trendsetter who made a name for herself in such a short time & she looks GREAT! She reminds me of the legendary FQ Performer Bianca Xtrava from the 80's -Red Era (RIP) for being such a force on the runway when it came to performance.

We could say that about MANY grand prizes collectively of balls thrown in NYC.
@@lloudwilliams4604 definitely!!! - I was just thinking over the last 6 years and outside of the Mizrahi 30K I think Caesar and team have given out the largest grand prizes in the NY area.
@SNicolesPlace For sure but WE as a community as Leyomi and Asia have said should be at the table to bring this to fruition.
Where the issue lies I don't think is the money. There are so many regulations and licenses one must have. A venue can easily be shut down if people don't act accordingly and can be raided due to underage drinking or people doing drugs. I managed hotels and restaurants. There are so many liabilities that can happen with the behavior of the community.

I have no ties to ballroom, I am a gay male from Alabama but I truly love you ladies and this podcast. Tabytha I need you in POLITICS now sista! Wow! I grew up a JW too, whichbix why it took me so long to find out about ballroom. That's so inspiring to see for Leiomy because if you've ever been a JW, you know how strict and restrictive it is. Wow. Enjoying these interviews and guests because it really allows us to see them as simply just HUMANS, not ballroom stars.

If I only date my race and haven’t been successful, I can’t assume I won’t have issues or that it will be better dating outside my race. Often we assume things about others because we haven’t experienced it. There are men of all races who need to heal
