- Day 1 of doing some work and not just driving to the start point.
I'll try and make some proper thumbnails when I remember how to do that bit too

If only a 12k service could be done in 1 minute 🤣 great work. Doggie looks comfy 👍🏻
Great to see you and the wee dog out and about again. Are you set up to service a 2010 Thunderbird 1700? .You always made such a great job of our tigers.
No don’t work on them. They need to be strapped to a bench really for stability. Don’t think I can remember how to do the valves on them now or what special tools are needed
Fascinating stuff. Loving the coffee machine in the van 🙂 And your dog is so the boss 🐶
Once you start using a coffee machine you can no longer drink instant coffee.
Interesting to see your life on the road.
Hi David great to see van dog on form
You should come to Brasil to care all Triumph,s here.
I don’t even go to some places in the UK cause they’re too far out of the way 😅
I feel like you're lIving my dream there 👍 Bet its hard at times though. Intrigued to know are you simply following the work or something of a busmans holiday? If it's pure work, hope it pays for you. Looking forward to the story...Good luck !
I already know where I’m going before I leave home. Plan a route and get the jobs in a nice loop so don’t have to zigzag all over the place.
This is my full time job, away about two weeks at a time, home for about a week or longer depending how much I feel like booking in and the season.
@@MuddySump Awesome 👌. Nice to see an expert like you getting around. I bet you will be snowed under with offers. Posh van this time next year. Bikers need solid chaps like you....you know its done right and I'm sure at a fair, (not low) price compared to main dealers where I'm sure often the minimum gets done. Top man👍
@@PAUL-yv2kk I was supposed to change van in September when the insurance ran out but the prices are stupid these days so just insured it again. Was going to try again at Christmas but might just stick in a garage for repairs. Needs intercooler and a rear brake caliper….and a new windscreen before the mot 💷
@@MuddySump It's a bugger but you need a lot of heavier gear to fix a van for yourself even if you fancied it.. I wonder whether a contract hire jobby could work for you and sell yours at some later point. You spend a lot of time in it....would be good to have a bit more comfort in the back for you and the little hairy mechanic 😀👍
@@PAUL-yv2kk I was thinking about changing it for a relay but some of the places I need to park I don’t think a bigger van would fit. Mines got 209,000 miles on now so it’s earned it’s retirement. I got it with 40k on it
Mate, just wondering if you could nip down to Brisbane, Australia to service my 2020 XRT. You'd still be cheaper than my local Triumph dealer. Doggo most welcome !!
Sorry, haven’t got a passport 🙃
Nice one! Do you do the service from the back of the van or a trailer? Or was the setup there the customers?
Usually in customers garage. If it’s outside then I’ve got a shelter I can put up. That one was in a converted shipping container
Wish you was able to do the 12k on my Gen 3,Save me a few quid and I know it would be a proper job.🏍👍
£3000 a year for the software is my problem and I don’t even know how much it can do. It’s the software triumph do for independents
You have a cracked windscreen?
Yea. A week after it got MOT’d we had hail stone and it cracked it. Every morning I got up it was further along. I’m planning on changing van when I finish at Christmas. 208,000 miles on it now
Do you ever get disturbed by doggers in those laybys? 😄
I’ve been in a pretty dodgy one before and ended up moving somewhere else.
How can we get better sound?
Better sound from the video or the bike?
MuddySump the video.
Thought I was doing it better using an external mic. Is it too quiet? I can hear it on my phone and it’s only got one speaker working
MuddySump sound is good.👍🏻
