I am so happy NETFLIX heard all our claims to have TOP being part of promoting Squid Game. I am also so happy to see TOP's face so happy and proud during this interview knowing the love he has from all over the world. He is truthy an inspiration for me because he touched rock bottom and now he is at the TOP (no point intended). When I feel down I remember him and know that even when things can be shit at times, there is always someone who believes in you and loves you. Choi seung-hyun YOU ARE SO SO LOVED!!!! Though T.O.P didn't directly mentioned any connections between Bigbang's BangBangBang choreo & Mingle game choreo but the fact that in the BangBangBang mv, T.O.P indeed had a COWBOY vs ASTRONAUT concept on his part, so maybe he doesn't want to directly mention the connection to avoid any issue (his haters can come up with issue like "he's using Bigbang's name or Taeyang's RingaLinga" something like that).
Also if you read the first interviews that he gave he expressed his deeply regret with the weed affair thinking that he had done so much damage to the group that he can’t forgive himself He is trying to detached from BB only for not involving them on more scandals. I'm glad TOP is getting out here and facing the cameras and media after 11 years now, yeah, he didn't mention BigBang and I'm sure most VIPs would've want him to mention BigBang but after the first set of interviews he did before doing these Squid Game promo videos, he mentioned BigBang and said that he has not been in contact with any of the members for years and the reason for that is because he is ashamed. He then also mentioned that as of now, he has not changed his mind in coming back to BigBang as he does not want to bring the hatred to the group, essentially his point of view is, he wants to keep the name of the band clean by not being in it since he will bring the hatred to the other members. Another thing he mentioned was that when he was asked about blocking some VIPs he apologized for his actions and called it really brash and impulsive of him since some fans would tag him in BigBang clips, photos, and some memories which triggered the hurt in him, he clarifies that he does not want to remove BigBang from his history but just needs time to heal until he stops hurting, which I think is really sad. TOP did say that when the time comes he heals and feels better he will reach out and so far from what I'm seeing the interview he has done and now the promos are changing the tide and hopefully this will be a good reborn start for him and I'm going to be so excited for his next steps! TOP also mentioned that he has been working on music for the past years and hopes to release new music this year so that's something to look forward to! He also mentioned he is interested in going back to acting if an opportunity comes by which after this reception of his return and his interview he might, we never know. Hopefully he does! TOP played an assassin in IRIS with Lee Byung Hun (Frontman of Squid games). They had action scenes before. He was very young then. BIGBANG's Allelluia is part of the soundtrack. Yes, he was stabbed - but the fork was removed and "repositioned" into the neck... And, in his Thanos' best scenes - he said he forgot that he did that dance in BB.. And, the movie he was talking about was IRIS... A crime drama and he plays something quite deadly...
I love that they are interviewing him and finally getting him on the Squid Game promos - and he's also been (FINALLY) featured on Netflix Korea channels. I respectfully think he is trying to move on from BigBang and not associate himself with them, at least for now. Although it is the hope of VIPs for them to be together once more, I think we also need to recognise he has been through a lot, and he is a very sensitive person, so we need to give him (them) space and time. T.O.P plays a badass assassin on Netflix I.R.I.S with the same actor as the frontman in sg2. First time I watched it I had never heard of T.O.P or BIGBANG but kept wanting more scenes with the assassin. After becoming a VIP I watched it a 2nd time. Did you know that the frontman plays the ninja in the GI Joe movies? I’ve been asking for you to please react to bb’s Love Song mv, it’s filmed in one take and it’s a very good song. Dude.....it's TOP from BB, the focus would have inevitably shifted from the main cast to him, dude is just too famous well loved even still today. I wouldn't be surprised if he asked to not be with the main group dunno. Much as he wants to separate from BB, some things are bigger then life🤷
