WORLD'S FASTEST SHED - 1/4 MILE AT SANTA POD RACEWAY

- The World's Fastest Shed, built by Kevin Nicks was at Santa Pod Raceway for the Ultimate Street Car Event - USC19. Despite a 30mph head wind, he still came out on the Saturday for a run up the strip, and put in a time of 15.49 @ 86mph, beating a surprised Vauxhall Astra in the other lane, who ran a 16.03 @ 85mph. Kevin's PB in the shed is a 14.6. The Shed is built around a 1999 Volkswagen Passat B5. It has had a 4.2l V8 Audi RS4 B7 engine squeezed in there, along with the Quattro AWD running gear. MRC Tuning sorted out a Stage 2 tune, and the shed is now putting out about 450bhp. Its current top speed was achieved last year at the Elvington Standing Mile Event, with a time of 112.68mph !!

That's a fast shed but I think I hold the record for the fastest two car garage. I converted a bunkhouse into a two car garage. It was at a summer camp two miles from my house. It was 16 ft wide and 40 ft long. I jacked it up and put it on a flatbed trailer. The permit for moving a building was more than the fine for doing it without a permit. They also required wide load signs and a car ahead and behind with flashing lights. We don't need no stinkin' permits. I wanted to get it home as quickly as possible. I got it up to 60 MPH on the way home. The speed limit was 55. Width limit was 8 ft. If anyone has a faster garage let me know and I'll make another run. It's hard to make a U-turn.
