i live in the city and have a scooter and no car, for medical reasons. i wish there was a tax on vehicles by weight. this way would discourage people from collecting junkers that fill all the parking spaces and pay for all the road repair by those who damage the roads the most. most of all i wish my city was more scooter and bike friendly. some streets have a lot more parking than is normally used. it would be nice to make one side of the street no parking and have a bike lane instead.
Good idea, but then there will be more vehicles that are less strong to sustain a crash because people prefer to save tax than save life. This will do more negative than positive when there is increased road accidents. Rather taxing vehicle by their length as followed in India could be a better way to encourage small vehicles.
I combine using my kick scooter with public transport to commute to work. It's shaves off time going from the station to my destination and vice versa. I think cities around the world should be more open to alternative forms of transport and people should be educated and informed on how to properly and safely use them because it's not only efficient but a more eco-friendly way to get from A to B.
Absolutely hate e-scooters. I was in San Diego and Washington last year where they have them. Riders think sidewalks are fair game. Numerous times almost got ran over. Users seem to think pedestrians have eyes in the back of their heads.
I am honestly really looking forward to see more and more cities becoming cycle friendly
The problem is during winter time, people will less likely ride their bikes when it's raining outside
Planet Earth has given us so much, time to change, appreciate, be thankful and give back too 🌎.
Check out the Netherlands when it comes to cycling
Bogota is also a good example, there's a space though for other systems like scooters.
Sounds like they want social distancing to become a way of life, pandemic or not.
What do you think the term New Normal means!
Back in Tanzania we bike like pro's.... No bike lanes, into the highways, racing against cars😅😅
But won't the sharing model be a problem considering the contagiousness of the disease? @cnbc
Shouldn't be a problem to wipe down before using. I think aerosol transmission is more likely.
If companies don't consider this variable will be an issue, there are ways to prevent this in systems like bikes or scooters
Lol that bird company is shady af, they laid off several employees over a zoom call in the beginning of the pandemic
Meaning like flipped them the Bird?

Jeremy Clarkson would be very happy! 🤣

Great content
Bicycles sold out in my city and I have yet to see a single person on one. Lol
Bikes and e-scooters are great, but not for tourists. I’m not riding with my wife and daughter though European cities I don’t know by heart.
Jakarta is so polluted yet the government doesn’t even care to implement more bike tracks here smh
But more better than another Indonesia cities
Ardi Ilham Falah but still, jakarta is a mega city. other cities are not so polluted like Jakarta
world has gone back to 1950
@Paul Howard Mathew Actually there were fewer white people in 1950 because millions lost in World War 2. There just weren't as many colored people.
The population of European and European-descendent peoples has stagnated, while the population of non-Europeans has exploded since 1950
this is a dangerous situation with cov-19. I think and hope we will outlast it.
While Western old industrialised world goes cycling, Eastern emerging countries are going binge on cars!
Copenhagen: *laughs in cargo bikes*
what about cycle parking ?
I think faster ropeways can be, as they can used in multiple heights, directions and terrain. They are straight and opens all four sides.
Sounds great. Except if I can do that same in Hong Kong without getting sweaty
Short story covid made the world better
Meanwhile. Back in Tanzania. Poor public transport, and new roads are built with almost No protected bike lanes...
London on micro mobility: it will help up soical distence.
Indiana city planners on micro mobility: what is the square root of corn 🌽?
There are a lot of people of cycling in Metro Manila but Mayor Isko Moreno is not open to it. Sad!

Hello
Yeah... well most cities will just return back to how they were.
new orleans....we're trying!
Lol NO, these are science experiments, if people can't use public transport like bus or metro they will use Uber till it's all clear.
Why are they all wearing Airpods? 😂😂
Indians will buy motor two wheelers instead
