    You have the best Happy Chaos guides I've seen on youtube. I've been waiting for this one since the update, and it did not disappoint! Can't wait to try all of this out later

    Great guide, I especially needed a primer on WA mixups. Thank you!
    I think it's also worth mentioning that blue WA into reload 2 is +4. I like to use it like that sometimes to manage resources

    You can actually get the reticle out after WA, it's quite tricky. The thing you have to do is cancel the jump cancel while negative edging into a roll.

    A clarification question, the wallbreak situation you showcase, is this the new go to sequence over umisho's old sequence from part 3 of the guide?

    • @aDTimeGaming
      @aDTimeGaming  11 місяців тому

      Sorry for the late reply. I'd say this is better to go for than the old sequence. I think the IAD BRC j.S into high low is stronger than the dash into up BRC mixup since there are more layers to the IAD version. You can still do the resource building route from the old video and there's nothing wrong with any of the old setups, so if it's been working then feel free to keep doing what you've been doing. However, I think the new setplay is slightly stronger.

    sucks that this character is so OP but he is still coolz just overtuned, glad that this helps with counterplay

    is the safe jump j.s into 5k manual timed? I can't seem to get 5k to hit on backdash. Is buffering using dash better than just holding up?

    • @aDTimeGaming
      @aDTimeGaming  11 місяців тому +1

      Sorry for the late reply. If you don't get the dash in, then you won't be close enough to have the 5K connect. So yeah you have to buffer the dash and quickly jump after. Definitely not easy, but the timing is definitely learnable.

        @aDTimeGaming I was practicing it a lot during the week, and I managed to do it a few times. I'm surprised that you know the timing so well on the j.s. that you don't even need to do the whiff j.k. Hopefully I can do it more consistently with time.
      Besides that, thank you for the reply, and thanks for making all these Happy Chaos guides. I played a bit of Chaos on release but my combo were really bad (5k into 6k wallslump from mid screen, combos with roll, etc), though once I finally picked him up again and learned his conversions using dash cancels and clean hits, he been really fun to play. Plus being able to get more hard knockdown from wallbreaks using wild assault for more mix with positive has been great too.

      @@TheFuguHimself Happy to help! And yeah HC has a lot of different situations that need different answers, but experience is definitely the best way to get consistent. He's definitely one of the most fun fighting game characters I've ever played, so I'm glad others are able to have fun with him too. Good to hear you're making progress!

    hey ad, ive been having a ton of trouble with doing the cS>6k>H>236SH blockstring consistently. cant get that clean guard crush almost ever, is there a tip you have?

    • @aDTimeGaming
      @aDTimeGaming  Рік тому +1

      The best advice I can give is to try working toward the timing from both ends. First, do shot into the steady aim shot really slowly, that way you 100% get the guard crush, then do it really fast so that you wouldn't. Then work your way in from both ends going a little faster or slower than before until you get the timing. I may make a little video to help with the timing maybe with some audio cues or a hand cam if that helps people.

    will gunshot always whiff if they use deflect shield?

    • @aDTimeGaming
      @aDTimeGaming  Рік тому +1

      Most of the time, the shot will actually still connect, especially if they are cursed. It seems like a complicated subject to determine if deflect shield will remove the reticle tracking in different situations

    • @TheMangecu
      @TheMangecu Рік тому +3

      @@aDTimeGaming I can't 100% be sure about this, but I think the reason this happens might be because HC's reticle will lock on instantly on opponents that are in blockstun. However since Deflect Shield is a guard cancel, they effectively "exit" blockstun. So if the reticle locks on or not probably depends on whether or not you were already holding HS before they used Deflect Shield or not.
      Using your two examples from the video:
      1) In the first example, you do WA > jump cancel > HS. Since they used Deflect Shield after WA, the recticle doesn't lock on because WA holstered the gun and you need to press HS while they're not in blockstun.
      2) In the second example, you do Steady Aim > Reload > HS. Similiarly here they use Deflect Shield after you reload, so they exit blockstun, you press HS after reload, and the reticle doesn't lock.
      This might need testing but it's how I made sense of the interaction in my head

    • @aDTimeGaming

      @@TheMangecu That makes sense, I'll definitely look into testing it more. Thanks for the response!
