I increased the video brightness on the first game a little bit. I think the map design is just very dark, but should be easier to watch

Lowko and Rotty, what a dream combo of casting
I love pro Starcraft. Since pro players can practically read each other’s minds, it’s all about getting things out attoseconds before your opponent OR just doing something so incredibly stupid that it gives your opponent temporary brain damage and you kill all their shit while they’re dealing with the psionic backlash
nah, mind games are alive and well in starcraft. yes the players have close to perfect mechanics but they are also duking and diving faster than the viewer can comprehend.

Great games, and man Lowko is such a fun caster. I mean I knew that from watching stuff on his channel, but he brings a lot to a match when he's casting it.
I find Lowko exceptionally irksome. He's OK when he's in the company of a serious, professional, seasoned commentator (as in this game) who can control his attention and keep him actually focussed on the game. When that's lacking, he goes full amateur, goofing around with side jokes, giggling incessantly, and sometimes he even forgets the game entirely for minutes at an end in order to talk about random nonsense.
That one siege tank was the MVP of this tournament
The Pride of Altaris map was mesmerizing, looks like the most talented Protoss architects have done their best ☺
It's super imbalanced though tbh, Terran can't even touch the Zerg production 🤔
@@VArsovski10 I mean once you touch zerg production zerg should just lose. Their production is also their resource drop point. Sure your not gonna end the game in ten minutes but that just means you enter the late game
Siege Tank should be called Paper Tank
Its so interesting to see how often Serral checks the mini-map. He’s so good at map control and scouting that checking the mini map so often is like a cheat sheet for him on a test.
This is pretty standard for most pro players to do but to me its interesting nonetheless to think about how being so good at this one thing is often what decides the outcome of many games.
Peep the infestor that did the miracle fungal moving under the terran army at 12:51. Serral is just too good my god
I never saw the Infestor moving underground until it popped up and did its job, really insane
edit: I noticed the move command at 12:49 but still doesn't see the move burrow bruh

These games were weird, dunno why there aren't widow mines either.
No mines is probably a tech choice specifically vs serral. Serral's widow mine micro is nuts, but who knows?
I doubt we'll ever get SC3 or SC-anything again, but if we ever did get a hypothetical SC3 or some kinda side story thing in RTS format, veterancy system could be cool. Or at least for the campaign side of things. Worked well enough in Red Alert and C&C 3 at least and they can have similarly massed armies at times
Veterancy should be cosmetic, like executor zealots having different coloured psi blades or something.
Alas, with blizzard on life support, SC3 will not happen.
Best series …I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Serra’s I play Terran but every match of yours I believe in the swarm.

12:04 Byun kills his own tank??
Byun was mis-clicking a lot in this series. Also don't forget the medivac that he gunned down in game 3 I believe.
casters didnt seem to notice blue dots moving around 19min mark. they were prepositioned to throw fungal at byun's bio clump. it's pretty hard to see infestors when fight starts because that infestor was practically on top of byun's bio.
I find myself laddering and being in spots where my hatch is clearly unsalvageable. My brain says "Sacrifice it" but I still often lose out to that urge to desperately cling to it and lose the game as a result.
Serral did us a scare again in the first game, but he came back just like he did with Trap!

Zerg race can always make amazing comebacks. If it were Terrans or Protons, it would mean game over.
I've played games where I killed all terran workers and still lost . Protoss has disruptors, terran has widow mines and planetaries. You must be low rank.
idk man. zerg usually aims for a critical-mass swarming style. get ahead in eco and keep outnumbering them. If there's one race known for clutch holds I'd say that's Protoss.
this but reversed. you almost never ever see a (non-serral) zerg come back from behind unlike the camping races, protoss and terran.
Normally if zerg got left behind in supplies for more than 10 mins 100% the zerg going to be lost!! but serral show us that he more than the zerg itself

Absolutely wonderful first game
We all know the answer. Serral already did an insane comeback vs Trap this tournament. And also against another player. I forgot who it was. Anyone recalls that game? Serral was down in resource lost and his opponent had like a 10k bank over him and he still managed to burn through all the remax and win the game.
It was against Zest.

I dont get why late game terrans never get a couple of blue flame hellbats like 5 or so to just deal with the masses of lings that zerg often throw at them. 5 hellbats would be enough to kill 100 lings
Because they are too scare to try new strategies. Most T players just stuck with either bio or mech, nothing in between.
Damn~ this is so frustating to watch how Zerg can be this OP.
They have counter units for everything; they lose 50 units but right after 1 min they have those 50 units back. OP as hell.
Does not matter how much Terran or Protoss players have a nice game; if they are against Zerg they are doom to lose.
lol. Terran players have been winning major tournaments all year. Serral is just the best SC2 player ever. Games he is in shouldnt be your mode of comparison.

i feel like byun is just trying hard to lose, especially in second game, why kill your own medevac? i'm in plat and i only misclicked my own marines when try to kill changlings, this is legit silver league moves
Try going 3 times faster and see if you can avoid misclicking a few times
He’s multitasking in like 4 places at once. Try dropping in 3 places, macroing, and try not to misclick
