What is it with trolls? Didnt Thumper teach you anything? - ‘if you can’t say something nice, don’t say nothing at all’. Humour is subjective - if it’s not for you, that’s ok. The courage it takes to do something like this is phenomenal, and that in itself deserves a maximum amount of respect.
Alex, you did it!!! You put yourself out there and you made it to the final!!!!! Great things are coming your way. You are proactively making your dreams come true! So proud of you! ❤️
General feedback and critism is all part of entertainment. When you put yourself out there in thar business you have to be prepared to be judged based on what the final product is. Thumper was a rabbit and more applies to not being unkind to others for no reason. Seems when people have genuine feedback nowadays it's just easy to silence people by calling them trolls, offensive, bigots, racists ect. Don't add to the problem and just accept that his performance lacked much of the punch from other comedians and his constant joke 'attention' to his disability just wasn't funny. I've seen plenty of comedians with disabilities do this but if that is the only place your humor comes from then it's just unimaginative and boring.

Jokes werent great but his delivery and style was strong. It wasnt awkward or stilted, he powered through. He's a natural stand up so with better material he'll go far.

As someone who has done standup in the past and has seen many comics grow. I can tell Alex isn't super used to the stage, his jokes might not have been on top tier, but he carries himself well and keeps going. He has an overwhelming amount of potential and I know he's gonna do big things

This guy is inspirational, he’s not quite the Peter Kay yet but he doesn’t have the tiks & the tiks didn’t ruin Alex’s performance - it made it
His semi final was good and funny, but tonight when hardly anyone was laughing, I felt awkward as I sensed he was, however he pulled it off good and he is a nice guy, and he tried x
To be honest i gained the most respect for him when the judges were totally glazing this performance and then he admitted it wasn’t that great. I do like him a lot but not my style of comedy to be honest
More of a speech than comedy however it was inspiring and brilliant

I love this man so much. I never thought there was another me as I have recently been diagnosed with autism like him and I have a nervous tic like him which I have been severely bullied about like he probably has. It brought tears to my eyes when he delivered the message at the end. Whether you feel different and don't fit in you are valued and matter! That was a fantastic message. Despite having disabilities people do not understand should not deserve judgement and you should follow your dreams. Beautiful man and person. So deserving and can relate to what he has been through in his life as it mirrors mine. He was incredibly funny, inspirational and talented. ❤
His tics is actually from a neurological disorder called FND. 🫶🏽🫶🏽
I really admire anyone with disabilities for having the courage to stand on a stage and face a large crowd BUT…… this guy has some pretty weak material and didn’t make me laugh or even smile. I believe the sympathy vote is becoming slightly dominant in BGT but let’s not focus on feeling sorry for contestants but on their content and talent.
Yeah, sympathy votes aren't actually a good thing either. It's like giving them false hope because it's a talent show at the end of the day.
Yeah exactly like i have autism and im really funny and I would consider myself a comedian but im not going to do stand up comedy because that’s just not what i want to do i want to dance and act and pretty soon hopefully in the next few years when im ready im planning on auditioning for agt so keep an eye out for the name Julian 😉👍🙏🏿❤️

I found him funny in all his acts. He’s pretty nervous tonight and he was fairly nervous last time and so then the jokes flatten during that time but he’s very enjoyable!

The best part of this was that Alex himself recognized that this set fell a bit flat. Definitely not his best. This just shows how hard comedy is. But he has earned the right to be here beyond just all the love for his issues. He knows he must be judged for his act not his issues or his stance on things. And this is how it should be. Simon is right that no matter what happens short term in BGT for him he has launched a career. Now it will be a matter of whether he can continue to generate material as he improves his overall stage presence.
i dont want sound like a troll ....nor a KAREN....but i have never found this dude funny. I just dont understand it. Maybe its a cultural thing, but ive never laughed at any of his acts. However, he does seem like a beautiful hearted guy

Winning to get into the final showed him up for the awful comedian he is, ran out of every joke about himself he had. Re used one, and had nothing left in the tank, sorry, but not funny and definitely not a comedian, his closing message i felt was basically a cry for votes.

I love him as I’m autistic and deaf but also type 1 diabetic, the diabetes joke really frustrated me. As type 1 diabetes i not caused by diet or exercise, it’s autoimmune! I found that a bit offensive as I didn’t give myself type 1 diabetes. I was in a coma for a week at diagnosis as I was misdiagnosed. Type 2 diabetes can sometimes be diet and exercise related, but type 1 is NOTHING to do with diet or exercise xxx

Sorry but this was utter garbage. About as funny as covid. If that is stand up comedy then it’s dead. Then the ridiculous comments from the judges as if he was some sort of genius. That is why this show is outdated. Summed up by last year’s winner. Who’s act was repeatedly taking of hi-vis jacket.
The judges looked like total mugs and sellouts when he said it wasn’t very good at the end though. I enjoyed that honesty from him

Being all inclusive and positive about disabilities and illnesses doesn't really work when you use Diabetes as a punchline for a joke, and a lazy, unfunny punchline at that.
I've had Type 1 Diabetes for 21 years now and funnily enough, don't find using my disease as punchline about death humorous. But lets not make fun of HIS conditions, because that would be unfair and too far. Hypocritical
