Bro I work produce in New Zealand at a supermarket chain called new world and restocking fruits and vegetables when there is none of them is so satisfying given it can all just go straight out same for prepack stuff as you know it is all new and fresh and doesn't require rotation 👌👍👌👍
How do regular grocery stores work in terms of inventory? For us, we have a Front of House (FOH) and a Back of House (BOH). Let's say 24 units come in, and 12 fit in the lane (1 home). We then destock 12 units to a BOH bin, like D.100.RACK10.C01. On the handheld device, we have a replenishment tool that guides us in the store on where to go and restock the items. I assume for you guys, you guys get exactly what they need for the most part, and if any overstock is left, they just put it on pallets and general storage carts. The overstock will get stocked throughout the day. Is that correct?
Without declaring my allegiance, I have never understood the way Coles workers flat stack cardboard in an open cage. Surely everything would just tip out, right?
Overnight stockers dont do first in and first out rotations of product , they only got time to stock up the shelves on a time limit before the store opens , that's where the day crew zones and checks products to bring up old and put new in the back
As someone who works at a grocery store I don’t deal with both of those Someone from the Deli/butcher department comes in at the morning and deals with the pork and meat products When it comes to alcohol someone from their company comes and stocks it. For example Frito Lay, Pepsi, Coca Cola, etc. Someone working for that company comes to the store to stock Plus I’m 19 so shouldn’t be dealing with alcohol anyways lol. Keep in mind it may depend on the store though. I did have to stock rotisserie chickens before
i do fresh con time to time and i find it crazy how quickly you get those boxes open
I work fresh too 😂 some of these departments don’t even have to suffer the pain of rotating stock 😅
Hail hail to all the hard working nite crew guys! America wouldn't be fed or survive without us!
pretty sure he isnt from the usa.
Pretty sure this guy is Australian 🇦🇺😉
@@donna6592isn't that still part of the US though? they just aren't situated close to mainland USA, same way Hawaii and Alaska do.

Hi Mathew, minimum wage casual is $26.73 , how much they pay nighttime from 6pm to 12am at Coles?
@@GiacMoBay it depends on the day of the week but on average they pay close to $40 per hour for casuals after 6PM 🙂
@@MatthewTomkins thank you very much
@@MatthewTomkins what about for a 16 year old? thanks 😊oo and how long does each aisle take?
Well done bro, I respect the creativity! 🤟
Cool. Did my tour of duty for 8 years at Waitrose in the 90s on evening shift. Sadly no smart phones to record the store at night.
