After you use your glue, flour, water, and a little salt (to prevent mold) for your strips of paper but still have a little bit left over, you could then add a little bit of spackle to the mixture and make a nice smooth paste that becomes hard as a rock.
Great video. It’s to the point, pleasant and explains everything clearly without tons of chatter. I thank you very much. I think this might be the very best I’ve watched. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
You could also use spackling as your top layer before you paint🥰 smoothing with a paintbrush and a little bit of water to make the spackling smooth once the spackling dries, you can go over any cracks with more spackling and a damp paint brush until you get the perfect affect.🌸
So cute, I love it! I just decided I wanna try paper mache & this is the perfect project to start, especially this time of year! I also love how you do it so that you can reuse the poly fill. Genius!
You deserve more views on this!!! It’s so cute and the money-saving potential to totally decorate your home for fall is outstanding! Thank you so much! I’ll be doing this through the summer to decorate my office and home for fall. 😁
Hello Whiskey and Whit recreated your pumpkin and send us over to your channel, so happy she did , amazing job and tutorialI will definitely recreate it , be blessed ❤️💙💜
I honestly think it would but the stuffing helps give it a more fluffy smoother appearance whereas I think the other bags would be somewhat bulky or it might give a rugged look. Hope this helps! 😊
I’m wondering if you could use plastic grocery bags in place of poly fill? Then you wouldn’t have to worry about removing anything. What is everyone’s thoughts on doing it this way?
I think it would be better to paint the faces on since the walls are pretty thin. I'm thinking they would probably fall apart if you tried to cut them🤔
You could do that but I’m not sure how much light would come through especially with the paint. If you end up trying it you’ll have to let me know how well it works!
@@TheOldCountryPorch Excellent. Great to know. I want to make a few and put them outside. I think I know how to modify them to not blow away and still be safe for weather.
You can also use crumbled newspaper inside the plastic bag to form the pumpkin.

Thank you!! Just thought you could make it thick and form permanent facial features. 🎃

Awesome idea👌👍❤️thanks for sharing
These are awesome!!!!! I have been looking for a tutorial to make some primitive looking pumpkins and this is it!!!
Awesome! Thank you!
Awesome technique !
Would stuffing it with more bags instead of stuffing work?
I honestly think it would but the stuffing helps give it a more fluffy smoother appearance whereas I think the other bags would be somewhat bulky or it might give a rugged look. Hope this helps! 😊
Thanks the best video I found out I like it
Thank you a bunch for this tutorial!!!
Glad it was helpful!

I am going to have to make some of these this year. Thank you for the tutorial! They are super cute!!
Thank you! I think I can do this!💝🎃💝
Have fun!
How long did it take your pumpkin to dry completely before you painted?
Thank you!!So cute!!
Wow, thank you so much
Could you recycle paper from a shredder?
Love the video
nice work...bravo
Do you ever do things for hire? I need a lot of paper mache cacao pods
Sorry, I don’t take on projects for hire🙁
Hi! I love these pumpkins. I have a question: could you do a pumpkin mask for halloween with this technique? Maybe this is posible with a bigger bag.
It could work but I would add extra layers to make sure it's strong enough!
How many layers did you do. Super cute
I did about three layers and let it dry and added another three layers to get a nice strong pumpkin 🎃
Want to do this for halloween! Just curious, what paint did you use or does any paint work on it?
I just used craft paint but any paint will work!
Question? How long do you wait for the first layer to dry off?
Do you let it completely dry in-between the paper applications?
I let it mostly dry between layers but not all the way (because I’m impatient lol) it just takes a little longer for the final layer to dry though:)
@@TheOldCountryPorch Thank you!
What kind of paint did you use? Nice video.
I used acrylic craft paints🙂
Would it be possible to “carve” these into Jack-o-lanterns? Like after they’ve fully dried? Or just best to paint faces on?
I think it would be better to paint the faces on since the walls are pretty thin. I'm thinking they would probably fall apart if you tried to cut them🤔
Before closing up the bottom can you leave it open and put lights inside??
You could do that but I’m not sure how much light would come through especially with the paint. If you end up trying it you’ll have to let me know how well it works!
Can we use sand or water instead of the foam
❤
HELLO BEAUTIFUL VIDEO HERE BRASIL 🇧🇷😎🙏
I feel silly but what Is the powder?
they are so cute!
it's flour🙂
Great job! What a great tutorial too! Just curious, how much does it weigh when completed?
Thank you! They are pretty light, around 6 oz🙂

Does any type of paper work?
Yes, but thinner paper works better and newspaper works best!
seeing that you can use poly fill after i just cut up 10 paper bags 😭
…..
That so cute 🎃🎃🎃 thank you for sharing its….🤍🙋♀️🤍
