Cut out a thick foam brick, wrap the phone in it (for padding), and cover it with a couple of old socks and you got yourself a decent bludgeon for emergencies
I like the LED light on the back. I have a big battery rugged phone now that is a few years old. Works well. Don't have to charge it but once a week. The newer 27t has 5G but replaced the light with a large speaker.😢 Not sure if it time to upgrade yet but this phone is appealing to me.
Wow that is a very beefy phone. In a world where smaller seems to be the thing, I for one like a big phone. I think the strobe and SoS light is a great feature as well. It is thick, which makes it not pocketable by usual skinny jean people but in the industrial uniforms/gear it would go great. Thanks for the review, and covering the parts that the users will be drawn to. And it even can do some gaming.

@@mikesytes you know, I've never worried about an IR blaster.. i guess because i forget that some phones have them, and i have a universal remote already. But handy to have on a phone.. also.. wished more US market phones had FM radios in them. I can see why most phones sold to developing areas have them... as a form of "streaming like" music. I have a friend in India, and most plans cap data use at 2 gigs per day cycle. So, they get music without expending precious data.

I could only notice material for the pavement when it was dry on the rubber if the phone I use the plastic case y it fell 7 times or more in 2 years , I will get a flip case so the phone will be protected from scratches too Especially since being more shatter protected means it's more likely to get scratched by stuff like zippers, plastic cards , coins , long nails etc
I'm a bushcraft, outdoor and survival instructor. I had a Samsung android and luckily a back up Ulefone Armor X3 (a rather slow basic model but waterproof and shock resistant). Backpacking Thailand I took an involuntary dip in the drink with both phones. The more expensive Samsung was dead and the Ulefone survived with no problem. I saw a deal on the Blackview Oscal S80 and bought it. Very rugged and large battery but some apps stopped working. I couldn't even take pictures or record video any more and most of all the settings app also died. Remembering the Ulefone Armor X3 that's still working I decided to go with Ulefone again and my Ulefone Armor 24 just arrived like an hour ago. Now I have to figure out how to tranfer data from the one to another.

It's a pity that you didn't show the most advanced and interesting feature - night vision. In total darkness, without and with infrared illumination.From what distance in total darkness can you identify that you are looking at a person, and not a wild boar or other large animal? This is an indispensable function for hunters, rescuers, and for survival in catastrophic conditions and situations. I think you could save someone's life with your video. Choose this particular model. If possible, please add a detailed video on this issue.
True i agree 💯 with you i can't get my iPhone and Samsung on a trip because of a small battery capacity, and also in case of load shedding in other countries, my iPhone and Samsung galaxy can't survive
It's good, Still testing this, but I would compare this brightness to just slightly below my iPhone 14 Pro Max. The surprising thing to consider here is the amount of contrast on the images, and the colors seem to be close to accurate. I will need to test this further, thinking I should do another follow-up video.🧐

I was going to buy a Garmin Montana 750 with inreach but they are expensive and don't do much else then navigation because you are locked into the Garmin architecture. I am going to use this phone with a Garmin Mini 2 as a kind of DIY GPS and still have the inreach technology. Sure it takes two devices but now it's Android based so I can do so much more with the device. We will see how it goes.
the camp light was extremely bright where it has never happened, all the while lights themselves on the screen are usually not that bright where as the camp light is bright to the point where I'm still seeing light shadows. if I'm blinded watching the video, then that speaks the quality. I'm defiantly saving up for this phone, drew the latest smart phones, I had an old school Motorola n It was the 1st phone. thanks for the show it was rather awesome

Amazing product. Wireless charger would have been cherry on the top but with that price I can't complain too much. This is not everyday carry (or at least it would take some courage). But for work/remote locations this is 10/10.
I should put all questions together, so my apologies. For years I had an oukitel, that was to be honest awesome to use when traveling to middle eastern countries because it used frequencies that were used in most countries, how is this phones specifications when traveling internationally?
I want to buy this phone but I can’t find anyone showing the night vision making me suspicious as to whether it’s actually any good and that makes me suspicious of the phone as a whole.
The thing i hate is that ot has no 5g option. Even my mothers phone who has a 2019 phone can access 5g. Yet this phone which came out this year cannot support it??? Might be a dealbreaker for me.
I have the Ulefone Armour9, and after six months the GPS reception went really laggy, after a year mobile reception decreased noticeably, around two years mark the Wi-Fi started dropping out entirely on top of already poor signal all the time. Three years on and the touchscreen is non responsive about 50 times a day and requires screen lock/unlock to start working again. That's after three years of use in an office environment. This is a rugged phone.. seriously? Hardware issues are understandable, but Ulefone's service centre dismissal of any claims of any problems of this sort existing on a wider scale, advice to have the phone reset to factory settings each time and generally really poor and unhelpful attitude is not the aftersales support a global company should be delivering. Overall really poor product and bitter custoemer experience with Ulefone.
I'm so conflicted getting these rugged phones from the Chinese brands (Oukitel/Ulefone/Unihertz). I've seen a lot complains they broke easily, even though they're called rugged phones I saw a lot phone with broken LCD.
Uhh if you smash an LCD it'll break sir. That's why these phones have a raised lip all the way around the LCD. Even if you add a glass screen protector - the lip is still above the screen protector. This protects the LCD from falling on flat surfaces. Bash your screen with a rock & it'll break, sure. I've had my ulefone armor 13 for 3 years without any issues.

According to the website it supports network bands 2,4,12,17,66. Should work on T-Mobile 4G LTE but no 5G. AT&T and Verizon apparently are not supported according to Ulefone's website. Nice overpriced power bank I guess unless you plan on using it exclusively on T-Mobile 4G LTE.
"LTE" stands for "Long Term Evolution" It was a long term plan that allows for multi-gigabyte data transfers on existing 4G towers when upgraded to 4G LTE In my opinion - 5G is retarded when gigabyte data transfers already exist via 4G LTE. It's just a "thing" they can sell you that you don't need.
Anyone in USA using this phone, what carrier is working for you? Ulefone's wording makes is impossible to know what carriers in US work with this phone, It obviously isn't on any US carrier white list but most China phones aren't and still work because they support the bands needed to, All my phones either work right away with already active sim from other phone or just need the correct APN settings put in then work fine, Amazon has reviews of people here in US using the Armor 18T but none say what carrier used, so it does indeed work here.
30 years ago this phone would have been considered extremely small and light. We have just gotten use to phones being small and light. For me working in forestry this is exactly the phone i need. Not some I phone that instantly dies if it's cold outside
The software is running on Android 13, how ever I do see an area where upgrade is possible. Still testing this, and Yes, the battery life is off the charts, using this for 5 days now without charging, and it's now at 85%. Wow!!!👍
This is false. I've had a Ulefone Amor 13 for 3 years. I just had a security update. I'm running Android Security Version - October 5, 2023 Kernel Version - November 16, 2023 Stop spreading false information from the phone you had in 2010.
Actually Ulefone have an Android 12 official rom on their site for Ulefone Power Armor 13. I have flashed it successfully myself on the first attempt. Was my first time flashing a Mediatek device.@@permacultureecuador2925

Good battery life no software update
The software is running on Android 13, how ever I do see an area where upgrade is possible. Still testing this, and Yes, the battery life is off the charts, using this for 5 days now without charging, and it's now at 85%. Wow!!!👍

Actually Ulefone have an Android 12 official rom on their site for Ulefone Power Armor 13. I have flashed it successfully myself on the first attempt. Was my first time flashing a Mediatek device.@@permacultureecuador2925
