- Custom Decal - Lego Minifigure Experiment President Loki - This is my experiment on using custom decal design that I made myself, using 5 different paper type, home-print & printshop, manual cut & machine cut. For sure it's far from perfect and it's not the best printing quality output but I hope it can give you some basic insight when you wanna try to make your own.

5th one is the best, hmm for gundam model kits they have this thing that soften the decals, wonder if its applicable to lego plastic
Ah yes, a Decal softener! Thanks for the reminder Kelvin, I use to make Gundam and Model kits before stranded in Lego...hahaha, still have tens of "already dried" enamel paints and an airbrush sets in my storeroom...hehehe
That torso you put glue on is actually relatively expensive
Dark green color always expensive 😩😥...but since I only use liquid paper glue, it's easy to come off and would not damage the plastic torso 😃

But how do u make such detailed decal at home without a printer
3rd method for LEGO MOC builds, 5th method (Waterslide decal) for minfigs. Otherwise it will just be pad printing like a signature fig for me

Excellent video. How have you been able to get the color of your stickers to match the color of your legos? I am using the official hex code for the legos when they print, the colors aren't very close and don't look good. Thanks for any help! Cheers!

How do i get the image so i can print it ? For example, I've been trying to do my custom lego superman kingdom come, but the torso has always been a problem

That is such a helpful tutorial. I think I'm going to try some of those. I may start with number 3. When you say machine cut, could you tell this novice what you mean by that?
I ask the print shop to cut them with the computer cutting machine (cutting machine for stickers) 😊

i saw this clear sticker paper u can purchase
you will give a link to stickers on the torso, but military, for example, WWII British soldier
I've made WW2 US, German and USSR soldiers torso...maybe I'll make a video about it and share the link in the near future, stay tune 😊😊😊

do you know how I would make a decal that has a metallic shine like some of the classic lego castle prints?
You need to use "Pad print" machine for that 😊

By the way with the 5th option when you apply a decal on the legs, does the decal like, scrubs off or ruins when you move the legs?
I don't play them much, only pose them when I need to shoot them, as far as today all the decals still intact. Bases on my personal experience the only best decal option for thigh area is using water-slide since it has the thinnest layer than other decals...same with overall quality, water-slide is the best...but the easy-fast one is using stickers paper because I can print them myself at home 😊✌

@@vinz_8049 If you have laserjet printer, you can look and buy it at online marketplace in your market place, search "water-slide decal paper laserjet". Don't use inkjet printer because it's water based and the prints will desolve when contact to water even if you coated with clear spay paint. As for my self, I use printshop that have water-slide decal service at my online marketplace...it's easier, just give them the design file and the result will be delivered to my home in a few days 😁✌

What are the dimensions for the head and body ?
I just use regular ruler to measure the torso 😊, for precise dimension you can check here: daisylva1.blogspot.com/2016/10/20-lego-body-measurement.html

Where do you get the (3) printshop (cut) versions done?
Online marketplace in my country, just look for keywords "waterslide decal" and/or "kisscut" I hope you'll find one near you :)
