1:26:46 The reason Odysseus and his Trojan horse are mecha-themed is because in some interpretations of the Odyssey, Athena is in love with Odysseus; protecting him throughout his journey out of admiration.
Fate doubles down on that interpretation by giving him the Aegis as a present from Athena, which is his helmet and suit.
Furthermore, Fate does something funky in their lore.
In Fate’s version of Greek mythology, all the Greek gods are mechanical kaijus that split off from Chaos, who in Fate’s interpretation, was a AI-piloted alien spaceship from some unknown planet that sailed across the cosmos in search of a habitable planet.

I played through Olympus so I know about mecha gods. Suspected it was partly why Odysseus has a mecha but didn't know the exact lore there.

It is just the generation of Titans and the 12 Olympians that were Machine (gods). Other Greek gods were either autochthonous gods integrated into the Greek pantheon (like the Gorgon sisters or Astrea) or descendants of the Machine god's humanoid Terminals (and in some cases humans) (especially after Sefar destroyed their Aletheia [machine bodies]).

@@babylonnightfgo IIRC the oldest text that references Himiko was from China and in those sources she came from Japan, which the Chinese called them the Wa states or something, in ancient times. So I guess it's up to interpretation because she also appears in ancient Korean texts too. I search up servants that are in the game so I don't know if this is correct since it's been a while since I searched her up.
I find it funny how they all defaulted into thinking that they could be gods when there's only been like 1-3 gods in this and some demigods
Fun fact about Nero, she actually can't normally be summoned as a saber. She used her Imperial Privilege rank EX to force the summoning ritual to make her a saber cause it is officially the strongest class.
I think its also because if she where a Rider she acually would be closer to Proper Historycal Nero. Meaning she would be mentally way more instable and evil do to the history of Nero and she dosnt want that, and only as a Saber can she be properly her acual real self
I understand why Morgan is a Berserker and it make a lot more sense to make her a Caster which is why they probably made her a caster as summer Morgan in JP. IIRC Berserkers whole thing is that they are fixated on one thing to the point of madness or they have madness enchantment when they are summoned. I believe Caligula's thing is that he is either obsessed with the moon goddess Diana or obsessed with Nero (I don't remember which one), Spartacus' thing is he is obsessed with fighting against oppression, Kiyohime's is an obsession with her master which turns her into a yandere, and I believe this version of Morgan has an obsession with taking Camelot for herself which eventually becomes the destruction of Britain.
Nope, this version of Morgan from the Fairy Britain Lostbelt is completely different than the Morgan from Pan-Human history. Without going too much into spoilers, at birth she was given a purpose: To unite all of the fairy clans. The problem? In fate, Fairys are inherently selfish, innocent creatures. They do whatever they please on a whim and they do NOT take kindly to Morgan's attempts to unite them. After THOUSANDS of years of trying to unite the clans and suffering countless setbacks, she decided "screw it, if you all won't unite to create a peaceful Britain in the end, I will just rule you all as a tyrant."
The reason that Morgan became a caster in her summer form is simply because she wanted to compete with her counterpart and rival, Artoria Avalon, who is a caster class servant.
@@snacki_6730 From what I remember this version is from Pan-Human history because Baryl Gut summoned her in the beginning and when he went to sleep she did magecraft similar to a rayshift to send her Pan-Human history memories to her Lostbelt counterpart, so the body is from the lostbelt but the memories are Pan-Human history.
@@marcdestroyer13correct. Fae Queen Morgan was influenced by her PHH version, in so much as it lead to her survival. And from there, the general shitty situation did the rest. But the base Fae is still in there. As we see in small actions like when she asks you what you think of her Kingdom.

She god the memories and knowledge from PHH Morgan yes, but she did not become her. Her (Lb6 morgan) life took a completely different path than PHH morgan and has gone through different experiences than the PHH one. She is almost a completely different person when you compare the two. @@marcdestroyer13

Came back to finish the last hour and the first servant they have to guess is Orion who gives it away in the art cause it has his constellation on his body and couldnt help but laugh at how hard they struggled with it.
there is a fun theory that drake in fate is queen elizabeth pretending to be drake to explore the world main hint is the scar cause apparently her face is disfigured (queen elizabeth) always liked the theory but no real evidence

Ever since the days of Fate Extra I have that Idea of an Alter version of Drake in head that just straight up says she is Elizabeth I (a.k.a Queen Gloriana, which is even funnier given that we now have Britomart, daughter of Britomart, a loyal Knight of the Fairy Queen Gloriana as a Servant ...).
The biggest hint is actually Drake's height in game. It is literally the same height as Elizabeth and *not* Drake's height irl.
It was hintet at in the first fate Extra game but after that NEVER braught up again. So we probably wont kno until we get Queen Eizabath and if its a guy in a dress we know the truth

I think it's a way better thought out format compared to the ones where the host gives free hints one after another. But the participants still have an advantage due to there being 4 of them and they can latch onto a good or close enough guess so that devalues the hints as a whole. It would've looked even better if the participants used the hints and submitted their answers individually
If my friends were all history nerds I'd have done that. But I let them play as a team to help each other as they're not super knowledgeable about history individually

@@babylonnightfgoI think it would be more interesting and fun if after they guessed the Servants, you can show them the Noble Phantasms. Or they can guess who are they from the Noble Phantasm.
Angra Mainyu isn't in Rasputin's NP because of Kirei. Servants in the Alterego class combine multiple heroic or divine spirits into their Saint Graph, and one of his is Azi Dahaka.
Is that spirit not also there because of Kirei's connection to Angra Mainyu?
I also don't know all of the extra spirits in various servants
I just think it's funny because a servant's legend and name is what gives them their power/scaling and their np is tied close to that as well so if anything the most knowing thing would always be to know the nobles phantasm. Ofc they wouldnt know that but 💀
But without the np animation having the region eras does help
To be fair not ewrey Servant has a NP that gives it away. Like Knight of Owner dosnt exactly say much and his NP Animation in the game is summoning a fighter Jet. So seeing the animation would probably just have confused the heck out of them

I tried a few setups and eventually went 'fuck that' and chucked leyline stones at him.
Demeter was hard, but Cernunnos felt so unnecessarily unfair
@@babylonnightfgo Indeed. I tried many setups. Himiko and Buster-crits for her Curse-Immunity, Enkidu for big damage in general, Herakles because of guts (which failed spectacularly), Mash+Merlin+Castoria to outlast him. But none worked.

1:52:20 I have yet to find a source of Red Hare being a Mare (female horse). Everywhere I look at he's just either a male horse or without an explicitly stated gender. The whole being a mare thing is I've only seen it mentioned within Fate communities, and nowhere else.
There's not a lot of historical info on Red Hare that I can find.
Maybe the idea of it being a mare is because it's not depicted with a dick?

It`s more of a rule to war horses. Only mares were taken to war because they more obedient and senile then males. Though some famous horses were males like Red Hare and Bucephalus

They both kill Fafnir in their legends somewhere. Sigurd is the Norse version and Siegfried is germanic
