Wow, I’m a former 13 year cast member and I didn’t know these 5 secrets! And I worked on Big Thunder Mtn, Haunted Mansion and Country Bear Jamboree for many years! After all the videos you’ve created about Disneyland, it must be hard coming up with new and entertaining content, but you still find a way to bring it every time and keep it fresh! Love PPP! 💙💚
I knew Big Thunder Mt and the Tiger Tails. It’s awesome how Disney takes an OLD attraction or restaurant and keeps some of its memories in the park. There are so many.
I’ve eaten at the chicken of the sea restaurant and I also remember Skull rock. Also before Big Thunder there was the Mine Train through Natures Wonderland. The town of Rainbow Ridge from that retired attraction is used as theming for Big Thunder. Also from Mark Twain you can still see some of the old mine train tracks.
He mentions that in another secrets revealed video. They're awesome.
Wow! You ate at the chicken of the sea restaurant? What an amazing memory to have! Do you remember the food that was served? I
I KNEW 0/5 OF THESE! I'm always impressed when I find a Disneyland video with actual new facts! Thank you so much for sharing! Also how did you learn about them?
I knew 3/5! Surprised to learn about the haunted mansion and the tiger tail!
Thanks Chris for another awesome video I did know of two of the secrets. Knew about Captains Hook hook at Peter pans flight and the sign post at Big Thunder Mtn. Thanks again and keep them coming
I'm an UK friend, Get the double bridge glasses because they are awesome!
I didn't know any of them. I learned something today!! 😁👍
I knew 3/5!
I got zero out of 5! I was so sure that I’d know at least 3 of them too!
I knew about the pictures in Pooh's Corner but that was it.
Love your videos
Thanks for the video Chris! We knew 0 of thaws!!
#5 Did not know.
#4 Knew about Gomer and Pooh but not Teddy Berra
#3 didnt know where the hoook was from but I have seen it
#2 I knew this one. Thunder Mountain was my favorite ride.
#1 didnt know it.
Your jokes are awesome!!
Oiy, 0/5 Nicely done Chris.
I'm looking into callng GetAway for tickets. Do they allow 8am entry? Another company I had seen had 9am entry which I found odd.
I'll put this out as a video idea. We are going for 5 days, Monday to Sunday in the fall. Plan to get Genie+ for all days. Better to go DL from 2 or 3pm to 12am on the first day, or 8am to 2 or 3 on the last day? Thanks.
The earlier you go, the fewer people are in the park.
You might also want to think twice about staying up until midnight on your first day. Multiple days at Disney can be tiring with all the walking, etc. Pace yourself.
I did not know any of those facts.
I’m a 70-y-o local and didn’t know any of your 5 secrets! I do remember Chicken of the Sea, and I rode the mules in Rainbow Ridge when I was a kid.
Even crazier is that in the Winnie the Pooh ride you will find the heads of Max the deer, Melvin the moose, and Buff the buffalo mounted on the wall inside as a remembrance of the older ride. You have to look up and behind as you exit the big room.
He mentions that many times in a few videos. The hot air balloon is also from country bear jamboree and was the swing.
I finally saw them after years of trying. Chris gave such a great description saying it’s right after the honey room and turn around and look up. I was sooo excited to see memories of my childhood. So cool.
It’s hard to catch on video or take a picture. Tried a few times. Pooh Hunny Hunt which Chris went on in Japan is next level.
Luv the band!
Wait a minute...did you learn that from Chris?
I love it when someone recognizes you in the background and they grab their partner to point and say LOOK! It’s Provost Park Pass! I love it because that would be me too! Cheers! 🎉
This is one of my favorite channels. Your words of encouragement means a lot.
Hey Chris! Great video. As an Asian Disney fan, I always enjoy watching your vids about Disney Parks in America since I can't get there. However, I'd like to point out a mistake! Grizzly Gulch represents HONG KONG, not TOKYO. In Tokyo, the town does not have an official name, although the name of a train station situated in Tokyo's Western River Railway train ride has the name 'Stillwater Junction'. Although the Western River Railway takes off from Adventureland, it crosses Critter Country and Westernland, and the 'Stillwater Junction' stop represents Westernland, leading people to believe that is supposed to be the name of the town there. In Hong Kong, the entire area Frontierland area is known as Grizzly Gulch, and their version of Big Thunder Mountain is called 'Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars'.
Chris....for real, you can make me get super emotional during every single video. Your awareness of mental issues is BEYOND GRACIOUS! So many people don't truly understand the dark place that people can go. YOU MAKE ME FEEL ACKNOWLEDGED. Not even my family acknowledges things. They have said to me out loud, that they think my psychiatrist has changed me and turned me into this person. And it is so sad that I am losing my DIRECT family members, because they think I am a joke. Jeff and Amanda...I LOVE YOUR HEARTS...AND YOUR SOULS.
His name is chris
But still a really nice comment
@@thibodeau97 So FEEL BAD!! I know what his name is! I FEEL SO BAD!!!!
@@kimberlymacandog7616 Don't feel bad! Your comment was so kind, thats all that matters :)
@@kimberlymacandog7616 Don’t feel bad you had his name right in the beginning. Everyone has a moment where they type the wrong name or say the wrong name I know I have. Have a good night and your words were beautiful and so true to Chris and Amanda and I know they will appreciate it. You are special and we are all special and Chris has helped us to know that I know I struggle myself due to some very difficult circumstances but I don’t see a way out of and I am very thankful for them.💚💙 I know a lot of us so thankful for them your words really exemplified how we feel.
I didn't know about ANY of these! ZERO! Great video! 😁 I'll definitely look out for these next time
I have seen the signs at Big Thunder Mountain, but did not know what the places were😂
Awesome video! I only knew about number 3 captain Hook’s hook. However, I learned about it from a previous video you did❤thanks for the fun facts! Air hugs!!!
I was really hoping I’d know one of these, but I didn’t! You’re GOOD…and you always make me laugh. 😄
As a former Disneyland cast member, I believe this video is one of your best secrets episodes ever. Well done!
Would you believe I knew ALL of them? You'd be wrong. I DID know that Tigger Tails are bigger. Never had one. It would kill me. I know, I know. I would die happy. But I did know that. I knew about the directional signs on Big Thunder Mountain. And I knew that the hook from Chicken of the Sea had been reused as a lamp hanger, but couldn't remember where it was. And that is all. When we go ...very, very soon (November), I'm going to make everyone look at the pictures at Pooh's Corner, in spite of their eye-rolling.
Chris, I knew #3 & #2, and I’ve wanted to try a Tigger Tail for a while… (out east we just get Cheshire Cat Tails…)
I didn’t know any of them! Thanks so much for sharing ❤
I LOVE this! We still have the book that included a checklist of hidden Mickeys found around the park our boys used when we visited the park when they were little! All these little details make exploring Disneyland feel like you’re on a magical hunt for “hidden” treasures and details! So FUN! 🤩
Ur kind words in the middle of this video was just what I needed ❤😢
The original tiggertail that had the orange crystal sugar was better than the new one. The orange flavor tastes weird and artificial , but the extra marshmallow is nice❤
The original one was also dipped in white chocolate with dark chocolate stripes, which tasted a lot better, but more technically difficult and time-consuming to make. I believe the new chocolate is also coating chocolate, which doesn't taste as good either 😹
I miss the old recipe so much
I just stopped buying them after the change. 😞
Winner The Pooh 🧸 🍯 Love Ride my favorite Disneyland Park one fan Big Disney movie DVD 📀 Dolls 💖💖💖💖💖💖⭐️⭐️💯🏰🎶
Just wanted to reach out and say when Chris talks about getaway today he is being 100% real, it saves you so much money on trips, thank you Chris!
Get Away Today is awesome & they have a Chris Provost section! You get a discount for real
I knew the pooh corner pictures and BTM signs facts, but pretty sure I learned them from you and your channel to begin with. 😆
I knew 2 out of the 5. And I only know those because of you. Your videos are so fun and informative. We just love them and your channel brings us much joy. Thank you
That was fun…I thought I’d know them all, but you really pulled a “goofy’ on me.. I didn’t know any… thanks for the fun… and they are cool secrets!
One would think that Pooh Corner would have a greater focus on honey-based snacks...
As a Cast Member myself, I didn't know most of these! Wow! Lovely upload
I have to say that while I have seen the hook with the lantern hanging from it many times waiting for the Peter Pan ride and I’ve seen the sign pointing 4 directions to the towns on the thunder mountain ride, I didn’t know what they signified. I didn’t know the other 2 plus the tip about the marshmallow treats at Pooh corner SO thank you, Chris for all these secrets, you’re amazing!
When he says you have a friend in provost park pass he really means it, I saw him and Amanda and he gave me a big hug and took pictures with me. Thank you!!
Chris, did you ever do a video about what's left of the Sky Buckets loading stations? I heard there's a piece of a foundation for a support pole in the que for Mr. Toad. I love these types of videos you do. Thanks Chris. 😊
Secret 5 - Did Not Know
Secret 4 - Did Not Know
Secret 3 - Did Not Know
Secret 2 - Did Know
Hidden Mickey @ Thunder Mountain - Did Not Know
Secret 1 - Did Not Know
I have photos of the gryphon heads in the haunted mansion Ironworks - i wanted to create some artwork based on it - but I didn't know it was a sign the house was coming alive! So I guess I knew one?
Thanks for the fun Chris ... And of course surprise guest appearances by the babe and The Babe 🔥
The marching band playing pirates music was amazing I wish I could see that in person!
I knew about the haunted Mansion one but I forgot about it I didn't know about the other stuff though. But other than that I hope you guys are doing well and that everything is going well for you guys and that you had a great time on your trip and I hope you guys have fun on your next trip.
Just like Schultz from Hogan's Heroes, I know nothing!
I only knew 2 of these facts! I ALWAYS learn something new when I watch your videos! 😁🌷
I know about the signs on Thunder Mountain, but did you notice who is standing there reading them? Go to 13:57 and look at the 'tree' and tell me that's not who I think it is! :)
I knew about the sign on thunder mountain. And you also are required to howl like a coyote on that stretch of the ride you said was your favorite!
It was such a surprise and honor to have met you on Tuesday. You totally made my day by just passing by.
Would the iron works faces be a phoenix that cyclically regenerates or is otherwise born again?
Thank you Sir.
I knew none.
That Big Thunder Mountain sign was awesome.
I knew 2-5. I just didn’t know about the TiggerTail.
The only one I knew was the Big Thunder one, and I think I learned that from you guys!
Thanks Chris for so much new info! The only one I knew was the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad signs. I can't remember if I heard it from a previous video you did, or from Justin Scarred Randomland.
I didn’t know any of the deep secrets. I LOVED the video!
OK so the only one I knew was the Thunder Mountain one from your secrets revealed videos. The pics in Pooh's corner is super cool! This video got me thinking though...since most of the secrets were in different lands...have you done a video with the best kept secret of each land? That could be fun! Love you guys, have a great trip!
That’s a fantastic idea 💚💙💚💙
I only knew of one, the history of Pooh's Corner. Your videos are always so fun 😊
I didn’t know any of these! But now it makes my next trip more fun to find these!
We only new about big thunder mountain! Thank you!!!
I didn't know any of them! Tiger tails are the best!!!!
Chris, Love the Secrets you showed. However, the thunder mountain sign post I knew about. Only because you did a video about it 2 other times. But I’m going to add a Secret on top of your sign post secret. . . . They are actually not right! Not even Close! These are the actuals measured by Google maps:
Grizzly Gulch: 11,699 km. Off by 44 km
Thunder Mesa: 9,111 km. Off by 147 km
Tumbleweed: 2170 mi. Off by 326 mi.
Someone needs to tell Disney the Imagineers royalty screwed that one!
I love this so much!!! 💚💙🤣💙💚💙💚💙💚💙
Didn't know any of these! Thanks for sharing 🤗
Went with the family recently and your Haunted Mansion fact made me remember I didn't see the crack in the glass in the dining hall. I know you said someone shot it and the glass is too big to remove so they made it a spider web. Was it fixed or did I miss it? Also you make me wish I bought a Tigger tail. Next time.
I knew about #1&2 and eat at chicken of the sea restaurant meny
Performance Enhancing Rugs!😂
Chicken of the Sea was awesome as a themed restaurant and backdrop, though I remember it as Captain Hook's Galley (the name after Chicken of the Sea dropped sponsorship). Great video!
Not gonna lie while chicken of the sea is a fun way to make fun of Hook they really should do a Codfish Cafe to truly pay tribute!
@@elisharoberts1029 brilliant!
@@notsurprised79 why thank you
I didn't know any of these. As a matter of fact I have seen the sign at Big Thunder Mountain for years , I never knew what it meant! Thanks Chris for everything you do!
You bet. 💚💙
I Only knew about the thunder mountain one.
These were great Chris! I didn’t know all of the secrets but I did know a couple. The Tigger tail was one and I totally agree it’s the better of the two tails by far. Maybe it’s because I’m a huge Tigger fan and collector. The other secret I did remember but not until you mentioned it was the Pirate Ship with the Chicken of the Sea restaurant. I had totally forgotten about it. 👍🏻👍🏻 I love all the videos you and Amanda do. Such fun content. Hope to see you in the parks soon. We are always on the look out for you guys hoping one day to bump into you. 😊
Awesome Video Chris!! I read so many books on Disney secrets and I didn’t know any of these!! Love to see the group together, I can’t believe how big Miles has gotten!!
There is NOTHING, I repeat NOTHING better than a Tigger tail!!!!!! This is The Way.
This is the way.
I didn’t know any of those secrets!
Yay! Disneyland Band! Go tubas!!!
The only reason I knew the marshmallow treat one is because of you. You love those and I listen!
They are so good. 💚💙
I knew number 5 (which I believe I learned in one of your videos!), but I had no idea about all the others! I love all these videos where you reveal secrets. I get so excited to point out the things you revealed in videos to other people. Your videos always make me smile. Thank you for your positivity and joy that you give us all in each video.
And I will totally have to try the tigger tail when we go in July. Thanks for the tip.
I've never been to Disneyland, so I didn't know any of these, but I am not surprised by the Pooh Corner Portraits because they did the same thing in the Whinnie the Pooh ride in Magic Kingdom with a portrait of Owl receiving the deed to Toad Hall.
Also, I believe every Big Thunder has that signpost with the directions and distances changed depending on the location. I know there is a sign post in Magic Kingdom at least.
I only knew about the Tigger Tale. The rest were new to me. Thanks!
As a local pass holder I can’t believe I didn’t know any of these! And the “you’re amazing” reminder brought happy tears to my eyes! Love your videos 🥳
My first time EVER at Disneyland was in 1987 at the age of 21
. My first roller coaster EVER was Big Thunder Mountain! I still remember every moment!!!!
I ❤ when DLB plays Pirates. I couldn't tell a difference in the iron work. I didnt know about Pooh. I Did know about Hook. I did know about BTMRR. I prefer the dark chocolate with 3 marshmallows.
Another 0 for 5 for me! That, combined with another 0 for 5, I'm 0 for 10, I guess I'm being cut by the Major League Baseball Team who signed me!!!
I knew about the pictures in Pooh's Corner. I know that the sign for Teddi Berra's Swingin' Arcade is still there in Critter Country. I know that Buff, Max and Melvin still are hanging inside the ride. I knew about the hook at the exit of Peter Pan's Flight being the sign holder for Chicken of the Sea Pirate Ship and Restaurant. I knew about the sign post that tells where all the Thunder Mountains are. I know that the town at the end of BTM at Disneyland is the old little town of Rainbow Ridge. I did not know about the railing at Haunted Mansion.
I knew #2 and the others I didn't. When Pooh Corner opened up my Country Bear loving friend pointed out the pictures to me. I took a picture of them with my Kodak FunSaver disposable camera because I though that was a cool nod.
First off Chris, at 19:06 into this episode Amanda offered me my #1 Bucklist Desire....😘.
#2 I MUST DISAGREE THAT TIGGER TALES ARE BEST! How could they be? Have you ever rammed the business end of the stick in your mouth so far to reach that 4th & final marshmallow? You could gag on your UVULA.😮
And lastly C, you failed to explain WHY Captain Hook was so happy "Tick-Tock Crock" only bit off the Capt.'s hand?????
Answer: Tick-Tock was hangery for Hook's A-A-A-R-R-R-m.😂
🎉🍄Hi MILES.🤠 🦄
Jim in N.Y.
Are you in Disneyland or dca tomorrow??
Yep
Fantastic maybe I will finally be able to meet you ha. Hopefully I will see you around the park.
I didn’t know any of these but that’s because i’m a WDW person! I *am* going to DL for the first time in december!
I was worried after you got me on the first two!!! But I came back and actually knew the last 3.
I love learning new Disneyland facts!!! Thanks so much!
Chris I have to be perfectly honest with you I didn’t know the 5 secrets you showed and talked about but guess what I know them now thanks to you buddy and what’s cool you always seem to find the most amazing secrets in the most hidden places which I always find so very fascinating and it’s such a pleasure to always learn something new at Disneyland or even DCA and I know coming from you it will be as honest as possible and I live here and I’m still fascinated about learning things from an amusement park in my own backyard thanks for being one heck of a great teacher Chris also it was nice seeing Amanda again hi Amanda and always fun to see Miles now with that peace ☮️ love ❤️ and happiness to you Chris Amanda and Miles and I’ll see you on the next awesome Provost Park Pass video peace ☮️ out ✌️
Well, I must admit -- I scored a perfect ..... OH-FER-FIVE!!!!! All five secret facts were news to me, Chris. And the bonus of Captain Hook not being able to afford a new hook was an unexpected extra (LOL!). Thank you for my newest "dad joke"! Great insider info as usual, though! Thanks for all that YOU bring to this world!!!
Hey Chris I knew about Big Mountain Railroad...Thanks again for all the videos!!!!
1-No! 2-Yes! 3&4-Only because of your previous videos! 4-Yes! 5-No! I’ve never had a Tigger Tail in 42 years of Disney trips, but I’m adding it to my list. 😉
Those were awe-inspiring pieces intel that I DID NOT KNOW!!! I'm commenting cuz those were really good. I'm going to be dazzling my family with that info. How did u discover those things?
Two of five. Country Bear Jamboree photos and Big Thunder sign posts. Thank you PPP. When I travel to Disneyland with friends and family I take them to see the "secrets revealed". Thank you for your moment of encouragement. Love back to Chris, Amanda, and Miles.
4/5. I didn’t know about the Hook! I’d love to see a picture of that original sign.
The CM who pointed the ironwork secret out to me called them peacocks, but another CM later in the day saw me looking and asked if I was looking at the phoenixes. So, who knows!
Wow! I was confident that I would know all the secrets, but I was wrong. Very wrong.
They were all completely new to me. Well done, Mr. Provost!
