  • Paris. Friday night. The biggest half-time comeback in Six Nations history, as Wales fought back from 16-0 down to beat the home side 24-19. But how did Wales do it, and what the hell kind of French team actually turned up? Time for Squidge Rugby to investigate...

As a French, supporting my team in the last months (years ???) has been like rooting for Satanas in Wacky Races: you know that, at some point, they'll do something mind-bogglingly stupid that will cost them the game, but the bastards still manage to give you some hope that this time will be the right one.
Apart from that, thanks for the great work on the video: both hilarious and very insightful as always!

So glad someone pointed out that Parkes's kick was a superb bit of play. All the commentators and analysts were all hung up on the word 'howler' without realising that even if Huget hadn't spilled it Wales would have had an attacking 5m scrum and probably would have scored anyway.

Love your analysis, hit the subscribe bell in a heartbeat. Even at 16-0 I still had hope. That disallowed Williams try in the first half showed how dodgy the French defence was, two glaring missed tackles on him. Seven points lost there plus two missed kickable pens, halftime could have been 16-13 and the final score 19-37.

When I used to live in Parma I would go every week-end to the game to see Zebre losing and as a french rugby lover I was really excited when Toulouse had to come to play for the European Cup. It was a really small and homey pitch and seeing my favourite players on the grass I would train on was a dream. A dream until, hours after the game, the 14 years old me catches Yoann and Maxime Médard smoking ciggies just behind the changing-room... It broke my heart and my knee ligaments months later!

I bet £50 on France to be winning at halftime, then Wales to win the match. Fair to say I was bricking it at half time but I knew Wales had it in them. They've shown resolve against Ireland and England in the last 2-3 Six Nations, after being multiple scores down. Maybe that's just how they play their best rugby?
