The Guardian Angels have guts. 33 years ago in East LA I saw the Guardian Angels running around in action. I was really young and in awe when I saw them. Could not believe my eyes. Never expected them in LA or ELA. Haven’t seen them since.
I had the Honor of meeting 1 of Guardian Angels on Magazine Street in New Orleans several years ago when shopping with My Daughters Great Man Great people God Bless them. 🙏💥🔥💖
You can't just say Curtis sliwa was shot 5 times as if it were some random act... according to Curtis sliwa himself he says he was shot by members of the mafia...not some random low-level street punk but by organized gangsters...you gotta mention that...Curtis sliwa knows who had him shot and it wasn't a blackman that's for sure ...
I remember when Curtis came up here to Montreal to try and start a Canadian chapter of the Angels, but it wasn’t long before he gave up. We had such a quiet city compared to the Big Apple that the group’s good intentions would have been wasted here, so, our mayor graciously thanked the guys and sent them on their way. BUT, I have to say, I for one , would have travelled with an Angel in our subway feeling safer with them around. Kudos to them, keep up the great job.
My respect , admiration, prayers and blessings to the guardians angels 😇 and Mr. Sliva . Although I'm retired , always remember how the guardian was patrolling all around NYC STATIONS and streets. Mr. Sliva shakes hand to people and was very polite and respectful. PLEASE KEEP 🙏 don't stop Amen.
Been to New York once in 2013. Walked and took the subway everywhere we went. Also a bus at one point and the train to MetLife stadium. I had no idea what neighborhoods we were in. Anyway, from top to bottom, everybody we came across on our travels through Manhattan were as nice as could be. Great town. Never once felt uncomfortable. Great town and people. Those were the Obama days, times were good.
True, they didn't stay long. But in the early 80's, when they arrived in Toronto, Curtis and Lisa Sliwa offered FREE self-defense lessons in High Park on Saturday mornings. They ran for a number of consecutive Saturdays (maybe 5?). Curtis and Lisa taught the classes themselves, though for some of the weeks Lisa was not teaching with Curtis. And they had another member of the group helping. It was a small group of women. At the last Saturday I remember that we were told that at "some point" that class we would be attacked individually, and we were to do our best on our attacker (who wore one of those big Michelin Man suits). Even though I knew it was going to happen, and I was "somewhat" prepared, I was terrified until I had finished my turn. Never had to use what I learned, thankfully.
I am going to compete with Curtis and use girl scouts and boy scouts! Not the worst type of civic involvement.... LA - NY definitely went further south since they stopped doing it at intersections
Been at central park many time since 2015,never seen them even at night. Maybe they were watching tv eating burgers and drinking beer with they wives at home...
you gotta have atleast 2 armed dudes, might as well just wear the plate armor and everything too, they should all have a batman like presence, roam the streets drinking coacoa
@@Phieryisn't it a gun free zone. I wonder if they allowed people to carry for self defense would the crime be as bad as it is. Where I live, almost everyone is armed and the crime is very low here. Most of the crime here is people stealing from stores or from cars but not violent or robbing.
Someone needs to make a movie with Curtis on his story. The man has lived an amazing life.

I've seen their presence in Dallas in the 80s and 90s. I always felt safer seeing them there.
